Another thing shitty about maximum force is that no memory card support. So nothing saves. No high scores, nothing. They didn’t even include it in the options.
Came here after watching your ps2 light gun video. I’m super nostalgic for time crisis 3 on ps2 and recently rediscovered how fun it is, and just how much I love light gun games. You guys have great chemistry - new subscriber here!
Hell ya! Playing light gun games is what made us decide to start a channel :). House of the Dead Overkill is the first game we beat together. Good times. Cheers!
I absolutely loved Die Hard Trilogy... Just fun fun fun and yes must be a PAL thing as I found it spot on and played it today infact with my predator lightgun on a 21inch CRT and it's bang on
Agreed, I ❤ Die Hard T on PS1. I had the Nyko Cobra and it was excellent. Ive been playing this game a lot lately along with Point Blank 1 + 2 which are heaven-sent. This is a great video. I love these Light Gun games...
@@japexican007 I don't know if it's the same as using a wiimote, but I turn on touchmote so that my PC thinks it is a mouse, I use duckstation emulator, in the controller settings I configure a gcon with mouse controls ... And since my mouse is my wiimote, then I'm ready to go :)
Really enjoyed watching this! As a lover of light gun games, I own most of the games you ranked. My personal favourite is Time Crisis, was such an amazing game at home and at the arcades back in the day! I also love Area 51, remember playing that a lot at the arcades as well!
I was super nostalgic for Project Horned Owl but I actually enjoy playing it with a controller. It's slower paced for sure. Point Blank games are fantastic and I agree on Elemental Gearbolt. Such a stylish game and like any Working Design games, manuals and cases/art are so well done. Great video fellas.
Working Designs just localized Elemental Gearbolt, it’s actually created by Alfa System, best known for the Castle of Shikigami trilogy… I also heard Elemental Gearbolt apparently takes place in the same universe as Castle of Shikigami.
Really good list 🤓I love how Elemental Gearbolt and Panzer Dragoon series are clearly heavily inspired by Naussica and the valley of the wind👌. I'm glad I picked up Elemental Gearbolt when it was half as much as it is now when covid hit. I really suggest picking up Point blank two 🎪it's my fav of the series that really takes SUCH skill and accuracy.🎯 Hoping for Ninja Assault and Vampire Knight on your PS2 list😸
I’d stick Die Hard at the bottom because, if I remember correctly, only one game in the trilogy was a light game. The original was a third person shooter. The second one was the light gun game, and the third one was a driving game. Correct me if I’m wrong. It’s been over 20 years since I’ve played it.
I have to say, I like (Gunfighter) a lot!! I love the Cowboy theme and I like that it plays like Time Crisis. I enjoy this game a lot. I don't know why some people really hate this game? What is there to hate? It's a western themed Time Crisis... Anyway, great video guys.🤩👍👍👍👍
Managed to finally track down a copy of Elemental Gear Bolt, and MY GOD is it a Masterpiece. Was not able to put it down the moment I popped it in. Also the Point Blank games don't get nearly the amount of love they deserve there fun as hell.
Light Gun games are so much fun, I didn't get too much into this style of game outside of Arcades, but they are just super fun. I have a few games on the PS3 that could work with the move controller for the gun accessories and even though the House of the Dead Remake Move support kinda was bleh, I still want to give it a chance as it just seems like the normal/genuine way to play them. Great video, and so many great games to hopefully come across and check out at some point in the future. Keep up all the incredible work, and looking forward to the next banger of a video you have in store for us. Cheers to you both, always a pleasure. #Roadto21k - On a side note the cover art for Elemental Gearbolt is phenomenal.
I would like to buy the ps light gun game The Shoot but i cant seem to find out if you can play it with just the controller or if you have to buy a move controller - can any one help me out
Thanks for this list! Crypt Killer is the game that we used to play before. It’s so cool and creepy when we played this as kids. We have one Light gun and one plays via controller. Good times! 💖💖
Pretty sure Star Wars Rebel Assault 2 for PS1 has a light gun segment. Don't remember it being that great but definitely one to add to the list of compatible games . Pretty sure Die Hard Trilogy 2 for PS1 has a similar segment like the first one.
I love Lethal Enforcers, unluckily the PS1 version has messed up difficulty like the enemies spawn 3 times as fast compared to the Arcade and it makes it impossible to get a perfect run.
🔥👍 Twin screens iLink is the only way to experience Time Crisis 2 and 3. 👍 Also, have read Vampire Night supposedly supported iLink in rare, ~3rd-party citations. Would be curious to see verfied/disputed. NTSC-U/C PS2 players appear to have been (ahem) robbed of a Jesse James sequel supporting lightgun controller(s) compared to PAL region, IIRC, getting the sequel with lightgun support. 🤨
My brother and I played the HELL out of Lethal Enforcers on the Genesis, but then for whatever reason I took a break from light gun games until the Dreamcast, where I fell in love with them again. Great list guys, wish I had played some of these. Also, off topic, but I thought about you guys at work the other day, we had a patient who's first name was, no shit, Mahogany. LMAO.
Good video, you should do the same with saturn now :) (I mean virtual cop, the house of the dead... It would be such a shame to avoid doing such a video 😅)
Die Hard Trilogy does not play well with a light gun. I've tried it with my Justifier and the trigger pulls and guns just don't connect. I much prefer a contoller on that game. However the best way to play it is the Playstation mouse. When you get near the end the game gets absolutely crazy and the dpad controls are way too slow.
I believe we cover this pretty thoroughly in this video. Cheers 🍻 PlayStation Light Gun Buying Guide | Arcade Experience On PS1 th-cam.com/video/c2mTXFD2gto/w-d-xo.html

I find the accuracy of the gun makes or breaks light gun games. Anything that doesn't use the (official) Namco guncon is not worth playing on the PS1. The Konami gun is appalling. Better to play the emulated arcade versions of the Konami games on a PC with the Guncon 1 (with a USB adapter).
@@GamingOffTheGrid But what about the depressing tone? This isn’t what I expected from a light gun shooter. It feels like I’m playing Sine Mora or something.
