    I'm seeing more people discovering the exceptional value that the i3 really is! I should know, I've owned 3 of them (2 REX, 1 BEV), and they really are one of the best cars I've ever owned. Fast, practical, comfortable, quiet, and no more stopping at gas stations!! What's not to like? Easy to find great used ones between $15K and $20K...an incredible deal for a car like this. Thanks for the vid.

      @@SSLOWNice. Congrats. That's what I'm looking to purchase. I don't want the Rex version and all that it comes with it. Smog check, oil changes, etc. And they say the 2019 i3 version has over 30% more battery life, up to 120-AH. How many miles do you get on a full charge?

    • @SSLOW
      @SSLOW 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DanielSuarez-zn8iw thanks! I get between 250-310 kilometers (depending on the weather/season). I never considered REX myself but in any case, they don’t sell it anymore in the EU due to emission policies I believe. It’s an amazing car. You will love it.

    I’ve been wanting an i3 for over a year now and I’m close to buying one. I discovered the Chevrolet bolt which has a range of 250 miles but I don’t like the way it looks.. I choose the i3 look over any other electric car besides Tesla of course. I can snatch a used i3 REX for about $16k!

Funny thing is that this was the color I was gonna go with at first until I couldn't find one at carmax without paying shipping fee, but found a gray/silver one. thanks for this video man! made me really excited to start driving mine :0) and I work at the pizza place in that same plaza...probably gonna charge it at that same spot hahahaha

    Thanks for your video brother! I've had my i3 now for about 8 months and absolutley love it. I've done a few slight modifications that seem to have made it a bit more fun. I lowered the car on H&R springs that improved the handeling, and I also put 17mm in the front and 20mm in the back. • @d7mysterio7
    @d7mysterio7 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Man I love the car but the price and range is tough to swallow. I think it's a great city car. I personally love the Kia Niro EV. After a weekend of driving it I was really impressed that I got a lot more range that it's rated range. It's rated at 239 miles but we constantly got 305 miles in the city and 249 mile's on our little get away trip. Thanks for the video. Great content as usual.

    • @raysyd5643
      @raysyd5643  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is really interesting how the ratings for most of the good electric cars seem to be low. If you are driving in the city and not high speeds on the highway, they will smash the range estimates. Anything above 200 miles is pretty quality right now. I think part of the i3's allure is also the BMW badge, but I need to check out some of the other evs. Even the chevy bolt was actually a pretty decent EV from what I hear.

      I have the 2017 BMW i3 but if I could have bought one I would have gone for the KIA e Niro which is a far more practical car with much better range. The only thing the BMW might be better at is the fun factor as the BMW is a hoot to drive. I really love it.
      Also, with BMW you get BMW servicing and parts costs which cost an arm and a leg. KIA warranties are outstanding.

    I had an identical i3 (exactly like yours) for three years. It was a great car but I was upset with the lack of features given its price. For $55k, it did not have power seats, automated cruise control, and other features my sub $40 k (other) car had.
    Also, the cruise control would disengage for no apparent reason so I ended up not using it as much as I normally would have. I am a big guy and this car had more than enough room. I, too, love the small turning circle. Only car with a shorter turning circle was my smart car.
