Having watched drum corps for almost 50 years, and having seen many terrific drum lines, I will say that this group ranks among the best. What a fun and entertaining group to watch over and over and over again. The talent exhibited is about unbelievable, but cannot be because there it is, for all to enjoy. And yes I would also vote for them as halftime entertainment at any event. 6:01
In my opinion, this is one of the best performances that I have ever witnessed, the visual execution along with the drum execution spot on. Other than the two drop drumsticks, that happens. But the overall performance visually and drum execution spot on across the board. There's no line has gotten much much better. And I can tell you from personal experience that takes hundreds if not thousands of hours of practice as a group aside from Individual practice. I used to practice minimum 2 hours a day and as many as 6 hours in a single day, just breaking down rudiments, as we would say if you want to be good practice practice. How do you get to Carnegie Hall, which I've been at least a dozen times, but how do you get the Carnegie Hall? Practice practice practice practice. That's how you get the Carnegie Hall. Or if you want to become a national or world champion one day.
I absolutely love ❤ Top Secret. They are amazing, wonderful, brilliant, and outstanding. However do they learn stuff like that, and so quick. They are my favourite. Well done everyone. 11 out of 10.
Wonderful Wonderful, another OUTSTANDING performance 👏 Talented beyond measure. I can't imagine how much hard work and dedication goes into each time you hit the stage. I just have to stop what I'm doing and give you my undivided attention. Thank you Charlotte from Hixson Tn.👍👍💕
I lovd them und ich bin stolz, dass Top Secret Drum Corps eine Tamburegruppe aus der Schweiz ist. 🇨🇭 Top Secret Drum Corps der sind genial, ich liebe die Vidos vo üche Uftritt!
The performance of this group is astonishing! This is my first experience watching drum corps and I am thrilled at their skill and dedication and mastery and love for what they create together.
Love Top Secret - so glad to see they are out there giving everyone an amazing performance after all the restrictions of the last couple of years with Covid- they are absolutely fantastic 👍🏻🥰🇦🇺
Rhagorol!!!! Gorau erioed!! Mae nhw yn anfon crynu I lawer fy astern cefn. ( Outstanding!!!! Best ever!! They send shivers down my spine.)🥁🥁🥁👌🏴❤️
Top Secret is so awesome, everybody should see that and petition to change the name to « Top Magnificients » and this subject is mandatory before finishing high school!
These guys are the baddest drum corp on the planet, bar none. Not taking anything away from the British or America's Blue Devils....but, their talent, precision and originality, and continue'd creativity is so incredibly inspiring. This is the first time I've ever seen a stick dropped by these guys. You don't see that very often, either. It's amazing they're able to keep this going, as well. It looks like their numbers are dwindling a bit. It will be a horrifically sad day if they ever decide to call it quits.
You should watch more from the US. Sounds like you’ve only watched that shitty viral video of top secret playing with not the real blue devils. If you watch them playing in a real DCI show they are truly 2nd to none.
First time stick drop? You haven't seen many of their videos then. It's the nature of the beast with their style of show. I've seen quite a few videos of them with multiple stick drops. They end up kicking them out of the way.
@@kmabru I’ve only seen 5-6 of their videos, all of which were pristine. Yes, stick drops happen to the best of them…. Although, I’m not looking for it either. It just happen to catch my eye. But, these guys, at least from what I’ve seen are about as close to perfect as I’ve ever seen a drum corp. If they’re dropping sticks, they’re even brilliant at that.
@@phillamoore157 I've seen dropped sticks in quite a few of their videos. It's pretty much a given that they will. Again, this type of show lends itself to dropping sticks. Whether or not you see it happen depends on the camera angle and focus. They are not nearly as pristine as you're giving them credit for.
Each dropped stick would deduct 1/10th of a point in a Judged competition. The overall Score base starts at 100 & each "thing" less than perfect is a takeaway. Overall they're still magnificent, given the complexity of their drill, stick work & precise execution!
Utmost respect for the Swiss Top Secret Drum Corps but WE the (Corps of Drums - COD) "percussion Section of the staff band" of the Royal Corps of Transport (RCT) based in Buller Barracks Aldershot UK were doing UV shows back in the late 80's!
I always see lots of love for the snare line but never for the baseline(don’t get me wrong the snare line is impeccable) but for the base lines splits are crips clean and in time it makes me miss my drum line days I was never good enough for anything close to that level but base is something special and it need love for the work that gets put into it
Hard to be the best when you don't compete. Exhibition only, unless something has changed. Saying they're "the best" is a matter of opinion and highly subjective.
Together coordinated only Great job tight lines and great coordination, only messing up Twice The Sticks, makes me forget being with Maryland Brigade in Harford County Md. We competed on the street, world competition, and even for a president. Our uniforms were like there's but red and black.

Give Swiss a knife, they make a victorinox. Give them a watch... They give you Longines. Givem drums.... They give you this Perfection must be in their genes
DCI is just complexity just for the sake of it. It’s founding idea has been its downfall. DCI performs for a few judges and does things that pander only to them. Top Secret, on the other hand, excites audiences all around the world. However, that is not a failing in ability in any way. The beauty in their performances is that they’ve made something technically complex (I know I’m going to get a snobby response to that claim) also while having amazing synchronization, and also being a crowd pleaser. Their stereotypically Swiss precision is something that you cannot deny that it is a work of art. Even comparing DCI to military tattoos just doesn’t work. It’s like comparing movie acting to acting on Broadway. Yes, it’s still acting, but the techniques used are entirely different. Top Secret has a vastly different purpose than DCI. It’s like comparing apples to oranges. I’ve been able to perform in the Basel Tattoo twice now, and I can say for a fact, from seeing Top Secret practice, is that even though they do less technical things, that does not mean they have less skill.
It’s their own that they founded in 2006. If you look, there are many tattoos all around the world that are exactly like this. Was able to even perform in the Basel Tattoo twice myself. Watching them practice is like a performance in its own right.
What a shame, still doing the same thing and still boring. They really need to incorporate quad drums for a positive change in how they sound. Many of the marching bands in the US have drumlines that are more entertaining, better sounding and more original than this group.
Sorry, this sewing Machine Sound of the high tension snare Drums doesn't impress me at all. I'm a Fan of good old Basel drumming with wooden Rope tension Drums and preferably calf skins.
There's snare drums sound excellent, I appreciate rudimental drumming on rope drums cooperman rope drums. Most rudimental drummers using rope drums, today use mylar heads, caps can heads use them years ago when you have a damp rainy day, you're in trouble as far as drum execution is concerned. Unfortunately DCI and DCA, they are using keffler heads torqued way down and sound like cardboard boxes. I've been involved, with drum and bugle c o r p s, since 1956. I've competed with the olph Ridge men, 1956 through 1958, Floyd Bennett golden eagles from Brooklyn New York, 1960 and 1961, join the Long Island sunrises after I turned 21, 1964 through 1968. In 1992, started the American Spirit senior alumni drum and bugle Corps, faced in the Tampa Bay Florida area, along with John Dowling, may he rest in peace. He is the person that developed backsticking, first exposed to the world with the Air Force drum quartet, taking first place the very first time they used backsticking, I believe that was in 1960? John Dowling has won more individual snare championships and, drum quartet championships, than anybody. He's taught some of the best drumlines, such as the Riley Raiders, reading Buccaneers, American Spirit. Today's date is October 10th 2022.
I never tire of watching this drum corps. They are outstanding. Thank you for the upload, it is good to see them in action again. Thank you.
