    That plane seems to have a stall speed of less than 30km/h. How is it possible to stay airborne at such a slow speed? This is incredible, and FAR beyond what I thought was possible in an airplane. I envy this man's skill, and I want his life.

    • @xkguy
      @xkguy 10 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      ***** The Rotax is a 100 hp engine…not all that much. The secret seems to be what is on the leading edge of the wing…slats…they add drag and decrease the speed need to stay up (they decrease the stall speed). These are also Sport class planes with a max weight (full) of 1320 pounds. The guys who design these STOL machines go back a ways but Troy (forgot his last name, of Just Airplanes) has really done some thing exceptional with the Super STOL. I want one.

      @I Am Sekou That is not exactly the type of language that people want to see here. Even if what he said was dumb. Not saying you can't say anything either. If you can dig what I'm saying brother. Just cause that guy was being a douche doesn't mean you have to feed into it with being vulgar.
      Use your intellectual prowess, such as; Abhishek Shrestha, what does your statement, "...stuck in GTA SA..." even mean. He said nothing about being stuck, nor about not having GTA 5. The way you talk about it, like it is something we should all know about, "...being stuck in GTA SA..." However, it appears that you, Abhishek Shrestha, are the only one that has this experience of being, "... stuck in GTA SA..." You talk about it as if you were stuck but got unstuck. Talking as if you are above average in being unstuck from GTA SA. That being said, Abhishek Shrestha, you are the only one I believe I've ever heard speak of being stuck in GTA SA, or any GTA for that matter. I've been playing GTA since the first release back in 1997 and you are the first ever saying anything about being stuck in GTA. Yet you talk as if you are talking down to him. Hence the response from I Am Sekou telling you to be quiet. The originator of this thread of comments, Alpha, was simply stating the the physics in GTA SA, in which many a GTA SA pilots know allow for such landings, are in fact very realistic. Which we would all agree with after watching this video. So, why would you, Abhishek Shrestha, make such a comment that blatantly makes you seem like you have an extraordinarily low IQ and/or lack of understanding of basic concepts?
      You see, I AM Sekou, there are other ways (more effective I might argue) of dissing and embarrassing stupid people in these type of situations without bringing yourself down, not saying that you did, some might say so. Have a great day.

    Just so you Americans don't get a big head about this, it was Canadian bush pilots who invented the idea of installing balloon tires on bush aircraft. Started in the Eastern Arctic by a legendary pilot named Weldy Phipps. Good for landing on tundra, dry muskeg and snow covered frozen lakes.
