Poor Glyde is left in the dust in giving Megaman a potential DS. But yeah, I think Roll and Search Souls are the only ones worth mentioning in the game.
I might actually try out a Gut Soul patch card challenge run of BN4, playing through the game using only Guts Soul and folders designed to utilize it. The challenge would be that those patch cards give you a battle HP bug :D
@@ProtoDemnProductions I haven't started 4 yet but does BugStop (or theoretically a patch card that gives you BugStop if you haven't gotten the NCP program) affect the bugs from patch cards? Or are those bugs hard coded to affect Megaman regardless?
I'm not 100% certain, I have very little experience with patch cards, as the legacy collection is my first time using them. I think that Bug Stop unfortunately doesn't prevent the HP bug on the double soul patch cards though

Hell, Glyde in general doesn't even get to fight most of the time. The most action we see from him is where he lends his support during each games' ending friendship sequence.

Red Sun was my first battle network game. I remember getting it as a kid. God it started my entire bn journey. Now i get to replay them all ❤

Guts soul (especially with a turbo controller) and search soul alone make red version my preferred one

6:33 I got my second soul from this tournament on my second playthrough.
I feel like the game gives you Roll Soul before Thunder Soul, so that you don't completely suffer through Thunder Man's Scenario.
its random whether you get Wind or Roll in the second tournament, and random whether you get Search or Thunder in the final one. But if you got Roll first and then Thunder right after, the game really was trying to help you stay sane lmao
Torch Soul is one of my favourites, it has a cool design.
4 might be my favorite out of the series on my second play through for both lol
Back in the day I went with Blue Moon for Proto Soul but I was always very jealous of my friends that had Red Sub for Search Soul.
And then BN5 Team Protoman gave us the best of both worlds

My combo is search soul to search for bass into guts soul

I have a personal feeling towards red sun, but damn doing the last play through with some of these souls was a nightmare, only the bass giga chip could help me 😂

whats awesome about the legacy collections mod cards is that you can permanently activate ANY of the souls obtainable in your version at the cost of an hp bug.
I’m considering using those patch cards as a challenge run of BN4, picking one soul to use throughout the whole game
@@ProtoDemnProductions its a double challenge run. not only would you be stuck on one soul, but also be put under a constant hp bug.
could even try to do the whole game without taking a single hit.

@@Yee_Naaldlooshi The best game for PvP in the series is BN6. I actually made a video talking about a folder I made for a tournament a little while ago!
How many distinct folders can you have in BN4? It’s been a while since I played and I’m wondering if the game will allow you to make (and save) separate folder for each soul
You can have 2 folders at a time, and chips can't be shared between them. You can't save a folder to reconstruct it, but I find it helpful to organize your chips by Code if you're going for a folder with the same code, or by element if going for chips to fit a specific Double Soul
I wouldn't say Roll Soul sounds weak when it's a 10% heal on every chip. That's 140% HP healing if you manage to select the maximum amount of chips each turn.

I think wind soul can be ok in Pvp since it can get rid of Aura's
Its definitely more of a PvP soul than a casual playthrough soul. Even then, its so outclassed by Gyro Soul and Tengu Cross that it hurts :
I always thought Thunder Soul was pretty busted with the appropriate Folder. Gave off Gemini Noise vibes, if you know what I mean.
Of course, very few in my area played Battle Network so PvP wasn't anything I considered until now.

When i Go to Patch cards and equip Doublesoul to have this Always and Not Just for 3 Turns i Bug Info and lose Life while i Fight, why IS this
Battle HP Bug is the downside to all of the double soul patch cards unfortunately, even though it doesn't tell you that in the description of those cards. I'm actually considering using those to play challenge runs of BN4 in the future
@@ProtoDemnProductions ok but i got this bugs with other cards too like the HP cards or one taht changes teh B attack form a Blaster to another attack, why do they not explain it, i had thought i cna play all the time as protoman doublesoul but for that i need good recovery chips
I don't really know why they didn't tell us about the HP bug on the soul patch cards, but they are there, probably to try to get people to not use them too much

To me the worst in BN4 that makes it annoyins is this:
1 - Souls, you always get 3 first Playthrough, but you CAN get 2 in the second or only ONE, and then the last one or two in the third playthrough.
2 - The playthroughs wouldn't be so bad IF the random nature of the tournment scenarios weren't so random actually. The fact that you need to do the same, boring and super annoying sequence of the child from Netfrica AGAIN, is insane to me to say the least. I really don't like that aspect of BN4, and that's why it's sohard for me to go past second playthrough, it's just aggravating knowing how hard and how annoying they are on purpose.
Also have you ever noticed, once you need fast battles to happen they take longer but once you need to do a puzzle, they trigger every six steps? Yep, Inafune sure is a jerk, if this game is not proof of that, then you can always play Gunvolt and mighty number nine to get your confirmation.
I'm not sure if its different for Blue Moon, but in Red Sun you would always get 3 souls in the first play through, 2 in the second play through skipping either Wind or Roll, and then you'd get Wind/Roll on the 3rd play through. I think it would have been so much better to make it so you get all 6 souls in one playthrough, and make the tournaments 4 matches instead of 3. No reason to have the Normal or Heel Navis in the tournaments
Here's my list:
-BN4 removing some chips from BN2 and 3, leaving only a minority of them and adding in newer, less practical chips (likely for the sake of full synchro and light karma)
-Viruses having horrible gimmicks and stats similar to (or more than) that of omega/SP viruses (Problem is also in BN5)
-The P.A. memo being ridiculously tedious to complete if some of the lower level ones haven't been filled out in the first and second playthroughs (though let's be honest, the whole P.A. memo needing to be complete for 100% starting from BN2 was a shitty decision)
-The tournaments not just being filled with ALL unique navis so that the player could have 12 transformations at their disposal for maximum versatility.
-BN4 only having 3 actual main comp spaces in its story (ElecTown Tower, toyrobos, and the laser, I am not counting the god-forsaken WaterGod Comp).
-Duo having no panels so a lot of attacks won't work on him, yet still having stats of a full-fledged final boss when the player is stuck with level 1-2 battlechips (Nebula Gray does have the same issues as well)
-Beta versions of bosses aren't present except when in playthroughs 2 and 3, so omega bosses can spawn after the alpha form has been defeated.
-Bugfrags being annoying to collect (problem starts from BN4 all the way to BN6)
-Most bosses also having horrible gimmicks to the point where LaserMan felt like one of the easiest bosses due to him not being an obstacle using, back column hiding navi.
-Nebula seeming like it only has like 3-4 people in it, this could've been easily fixed by having some of the more ornery tournament netbattlers like Tensuke (TopMan), Terry (SparkMan), Atsuki (BurnerMan), Viddy (VideoMan), and Chillski (ColdMan) be part of Nebula (this could've fixed the lack of dungeon comps as well).
-Dark Karma ultimately screwing you up in earlier playthroughs when against Duo
And it goes on...
And proto soul is always last soul in blue moon
