Wife: and just how do you think you're going to get that Christmas tree in the living room?
    Husband:. Hold my beer woman!

No one working the hose to maintain dust control? If I were a neighbor I would be PISSED OFF!
Such a solid, well built house and also such a beautiful, stately tree. I hated to see both get demolished! Why???

If this house could talk. I wonder what stories it could tell about the families that have lived there. The birth of the home and it's death.
The first wife to walk into it, And the first baby to come home to it.

All he had to do was dig around the roots a little and then push.

The responsible thing to do would be to have the power cut off to that block if you absolutely had to take that tree down, I don’t know why you had to kill that beautiful tree😫, but it looks like you took stupid risks wrestling with the tree and then tangling yourself with the Electric cables when all anyone had to do would be to call and say you need to power off for x Amount of time. Of course that would cost money maybe that’s why nobody bothered with it? 😏

he really did a number on that tree. amazing how much pressure the tree can withstand
also loved the way he crashed into the old house and just scooped out the insides, making space to push the tree over all the way.
a very talented operator, and you can tell he really loves what he does. nice job, sir. it's fascinating to watch him work. takes no prisoners!

Delay 30 minutes to send Lenny down to Ace to get a saw. Probably cost a lot more time than that when cleaning up not to mention the added hazard to the backhoe operator.
The hose made a good effort but holy crap the clouds of dust.

Why not let the tree fall on the house because the house will be comming down anyway.

It should be crystal clear to everyone in America now just how flimsy your houses are. And, has that guy never heard of a chainsaw ?

    • @mackhopper

You need to learn about the force a hydraulically powered excavator applies. I’ve seen one knock down solidly build stone church walls without any resistance. I guaranteed you if a tornado hit this area, this well build old house (structurally) would survive the force. This house was solid, but excavators are monsters.

I bet it was a pretty little house in its day , With that little side porch and the yard and all; I can see pansies by the front steps and kids playing near that tree that you destroyed.
Time waits for no one 😢

And why did they raise the house? They never tell you why . Nothing can be saved in America ,only destroyed . Go to Europe . Buildings there are over 2000 years old and still standing . Go figure
