    What is the use of Cut Plan basically? What If I change it in main properties instead of that rectangle method?

    • @BIMforInteriorDesign

      If you change the main Cut plane offset, it changes the value for whole plan view, which is not advisable. There are country standards of cut plane heights. Also if you had one window with top at 1.8m and another with sill height (bottom) of 2.0m, you could never achieve to see both windows in one plan view with only adjusting main Cut plane offset.

    I have been using the plan region also, but what puzzles me is that all the instructors say that you should be able to see that window at 1500 - without having to use plan region- because it is in the primary view range. Any thoughts?

      Hi, you are right, that Window, Generic and Casework families are displayed in the view even when they are above Cut Plane (and bellow Top Plane). The reason you don't see window above cut plane is that the wall is covering it up. You can confirm that your window is still in the view by hovering over the space where window should be - you should be able to select the window.

    How do you get the digital view on the right. I was searching through your videos and didn't see one explaining how to get this type of "rendered" view. Looks great!

      Hi, there are few steps to achieve such a look. These are not too difficult, I might do a tutorial about that in the future, thank you for the tip.

      @@BIMforInteriorDesign I selected the plan region tool for me to reveal whats underneath. The problem im facing is that, region tool doesnt apply on Legends (View - Legend - Create a new legend) . Also, when i uncheck the things i dont need like for my modular jamb, legend does show everything even when some of those models in family were unchecked. Im sorry mate, aint that good in english but im trying.

    very helpful, can you please make a video about missing door too?

    • @BIMforInteriorDesign
      @BIMforInteriorDesign  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on why the door is missing. It's usually not the case described in my tutorial because doors are seldom placed above the cut level :)
