This is a fabulous take which I highly endorse - one, it's awesome thread, two, the fashion thing is completely correct. I interned at WWD way back when. You can track the colors with fashion seasons, but you'll find the closest match between Hermes and the 100/3 colors. Every Hermes bag is stitched with Au Ver a Soie silks, as are the scarves, and while I'm definitely not fancy enough to have Hermes anything, you'll recognize the colors when you see them. And try a #10 short tapestry point beading needle - the shaft is much thinner, which makes life a lot easier. Needles are very much personal preference but it's worth a try - and such a gorgeous finish, congratulations!
Katie at WWD, this makes so much sense. I’m printing this and putting it on my wall. I love your videos, thank you for sharing your art. Can’t wait till we can be cool girls like Nicola with our scarves and matching thread. 🩷C
It's always a joy to watch you both. Had no idea we were in the midst of a fashion icon. 😂 Elizabeth, I wish I had your analytical mind. I always enjoy the pieces you present and talk so in depth about. You see things in them that I would never. I hope Amy feels better soon.
Glad you have power back (I can empathize; I lost power for 13 days during the 2020 derecho) and that you had a good time stitching without electricity and enjoying the candlelight in spite of the storms. Love OwlForest patterns too! Although I had yet to get a kit, I have my eye on the mushroom, bear, and pickle ones (the last one due to watching you, Elizabeth!). I'm enjoying watching Carolyn exploring and discovering the super fancy flosses (which I have never heard about until now!), and I cannot wait for y'alls WIP parade! Looking forward to the potential pieces that may be up for adoption! I love adopting pieces so I'll keep my eyes peeled. Happy stitching!
Love your update. You girls always make me laugh. I’m stitching Herbularius Garden Mandala and I have the Nutcracker kit from Owl Forest. I also have Swan Lake. Glad y’all made it through the storms.
Elizabeth! Laughed out loud when you said you're *not* going to be dressed like a regular person 2 days from now - while dressed in an 80s goose sweater! You are always quirky, indivual and charmingly memorable!
Oooo, looking forward to the "stitch or ditch" WIP parade. I find it weirdly satisfying to watch people conclude that they'll never finish something, so why hang on to it, pass it on! Sorry to hear about your weather woes. Great job making the best of it! You guys really have a way of informing, enabling, and making everything interesting, so glad you're here!
I love the mushrooms. I need to get an Owl Forest project! I’ve been monogamously stitching all month, which feels so wild. Thank you for reminding me of the embroidery project from 6+ years ago that I really need to finish. Embroidery is great for when you don’t want such a rigid project.
I'm so glad you are on flosstube, too! I enjoy your episodes. BTW-loved the goose sweater! I want one. I found one in red at Shein and sent my husband a pic - and he asked if that was going to be my ugly Christmas sweater for this year! So glad there are people in the floss-universe who understand me. LOL
Oh, my, I laughed to the point of tears with Caroline discovering 100/3. Elizabeth, your joy in stitching of all types is inspiring. Please give Aimee my love. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. ❤❤
It’s always a thrill to see a new Thread Gremlins video in my subscriptions! Caroline, your finish of Emaline is beautiful! I can’t believe how quickly you did it! You know we have 100/3 and Soie Surfine at Acorns & Threads. We can set you up! Elizabeth, I love that finish with specialty stitches and crystals. Beautiful! That linen is probably Wichelt.
Thank you, ladies! That was fun, for sure. Your stitching and project choices are a cut above! Looking forward to seeing your progression, Caroline. Happy Thanksgiving! 🪡😄
I love your flisstube. It makes me happy to see you be so casual and down to earth. 2 is a beautiful pattern. I am pleased you will be on once a week in December.
I found your channel yesterday and have been binging all day. Currently on episode 10 now. Definitely obsessed and I need my own mommy friend to stitch with now
Oh man. Caroline might have a system, for floss storage, but I do not. Mostly it’s tucked away in little bags all over the place, and when I need it I run around the house pulling things out and getting frustrated, saying over and over to myself, “I really need to come up with a system for this!”
I also found out the hard way that Got the Morbs is not a one skein pattern. I had stitched down to the last corner and ran out of a hand dyed floss. When I got the replacement skein, it was a noticeably darker dye lot. 😖 So I carefully frogged out the word Morbs, re-used that floss to finish out the bottom corner and restitched the word Morbs in the darker floss. Lesson learned! 😂
Hi Elizabeth, I thought you might like to look at Number12StitchCo’s French Pear for the green in your Backwater Day pattern. Caroline I loved your passion for 100.3 silk, you’ve made me excited to try them now 😂
❤❤❤ so good! I think that 28 ct linen looks and sounds like Wichelt linen. Elizabeth, some of us are starting our first chatelaine Jan 01 should you want to join us :)
Elizabeth, have you watched the Artsy House Wife Flosstube with your husband? The designer’s husband started stitching. He does flosstube with her now and he stitched a couple of her Sample Pieces for her new pattern releases! Your husband might enjoy relating to another husband stitcher!

Caroline - I can see that you, Hermes, and 1003 silks are a match destined in heaven 😂 You are most certainly a fancy-girl silk couture stitcher!
Thank you very very much! That is definitely the goal

Haha 😎icon, I’ll make sure the other girls see this
Thank you! What a lovely thing to read. :)

Oh I hope you enjoy the pickles! It was really one of the most fun things I’ve ever stitched.

👯♀️ love a twin moment!!!
I am all ears if you have herb garden tips!

Hah! You’re right- I didn’t even think about how ridiculous that is. I love it!
I love this comment. 😂❤
‘Twas a joy to watch you both share your needlework this morning! I love your attention to detail. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Thank you! The details are what make things special.
🥰🥰🥰

I know! So glad we all have a outlet so everyone around us can have a break haha
Mine is Aelfric Eden. I’ve been a fan of their sweaters for years. :)

Happy Thanksgiving to you too!!! 🥰🥰
Thank you! I am always happiest with a needle in hand. Happy Thanksgiving!

Ok good!!! I didn’t even have time to look at threads when I was there
Thank you! I enjoyed sewing on it immensely.
OMG, it’s gonna be a good night, a Thread Gremlin video!! 🎉🎉
Woo! ❤Enjoy!

Some how this got on the wrong flosstube. But I do love watching you three ladies. I could easily be one of you. Keep making us laugh
Love it!! Hope Aimee feels better soon :)
Me too!
🥰 thank you!!
Seriously…you gals rock!🎸love the wips. Love the 100.3. Love the shrooms. Love it all! Hope to see you at the Jingle Ball.
Thank you! Were all looking forward to Jingle Ball, for sure. :)
Fab show girls....thanks so much
Our pleasure… thanks for watching!
Wicked… so glad ur back. Excited for your WIP and Finish parades… they’ll be epic! Be great to see all of your fan favourites again 😊
I’m hoping it inspires me to pull out some of them again…
I also am obsessed with Nicola. Her videos are ASMR for me. And I love how she talks about how she randomly falls asleep for many hours.
She is definitely the fanciest ASMR ever! So cozy and chic
I found your channel yesterday and have been binging all day. Currently on episode 10 now. Definitely obsessed and I need my own mommy friend to stitch with now
Welcome!!! Stitching moms unite❤
Every mom needs stitchy friends!
The mini picture framed stitches would be cute as magnets on a fridge as well!
That’s such a cute idea!
Love your videos. Looking forward to the WIP parade!
How do you girls store your floss? What lighting do you use ect?
Oh man. Caroline might have a system, for floss storage, but I do not. Mostly it’s tucked away in little bags all over the place, and when I need it I run around the house pulling things out and getting frustrated, saying over and over to myself, “I really need to come up with a system for this!”
Oh yea, that’s my system too!
LETS GOOO

@@amy.k.graham dang!!! That’s actually very impressive
Oh my god, brutal. Especially given the subject matter of the piece… kind of fitting, really.
So glad you made it through the cyclone! And am I going to need to change my stitching to also be a couturier??? Loved everything! Thank you!
Do it. Embrace your fancy side. :)
Obviously, so chic. Who doesn’t need a fancy moment😎
Y’all are so lucky to be on Denise’s good side - LOL! I’m still working on it but i have hope 😅
Are we on her good side tho? Maybe just less on her bad side. :p
Hahaa, we are one Mirabilia on 40ct away from being on her bad side 😂
Ultimate cool girl
That sounds as awful as the Derecho we had in Cedar Rapids Iowa back in 2020! I’m glad you guys are doing better.
Me too!! 🫠

That sounds perfect! I am very excited. :)
lets goo 💪💪💪
MORE FLOSSTUBE
Our #1 fan!!
You shop at Acorn Street?!?! Awesome!
Cutest little yarn shop in Seattle… and a major bonus that it’s right next to the Queen Mary!
It is the best. My favorite yarn store in Seattle. 😊
I just love hearing others enjoy it so well too.
❤❤❤
💚💚💚

What is that pretty pink HAS pattern that you were talking about wirh all the specialty stitches?
The Old Scot has specialty stitches but Amy Cann is very pink
@@Threadgremlins Thank you!
