I finished the last part of your Flosstube on the big screen TV while trying to put up my tree. Your haul was huggggeeeee! 😂 Yes, and the fabric size is an issue. I am still upset I spent so much time stitching a pattern on pre-printed fabric but the dyer shortened their 1/8 yard by an inch and it totally won't get me the same look as the called for size would. We should really get what we are expecting and pay for.

I was dying to know the conclusion of the stocking. Congrats on the big finish! It turned out lovely. Can't believe how many other finishes you had. Great job. It was nice hearing that you don't love putting projects together to start. It's always been stressful for me, but everyone always seems to be starting stuff, so I felt like a weirdo. Thanks also for the tip to always measure my fabric.

I’m a new follower of your channel, and already I must bow to your excellent stitching abilities as evidenced by Brooks’s stocking! Holy Cow! That thing is a flat masterpiece! I don’t know how you did it. I’m very impressed by everything else you’re doing as well, but that stocking is unbelievable. I love that you’re into needlepoint- so am I, at least as much as I can afford. It can be a little pricey. Would you share with me the name if the needlepoint shop you use and do they have a web site? I really enjoyed your Flosstube and we’ll see you in the next one!
Hello TN friend! Thanks so much for the kind comment. I do get most of my needlepoint from our LNS here in Memphis- Stitchers Inc…when I have ordered online it has been from Needlepoint.com & Penny Linn. 😊
Hand-dyed fabric.... The measurements are Pre-Dyeing. Since the dyeing process involves a lot of hot water and tons of washing, the fabric will always shrink. I can't remember exactly which dyer I learned this from first, but I believe its industry standard to put the measurements of the fabric piece pre-dyed and then (hopefully) disclaim in the listing that shrinkage does occur during the dyeing process.
That makes sense! I feel like I remember hearing something similar a long time ago, thank you! 😊 So…technically my piece would have fit on the fabric…because those holes are still there to stitch in…just smaller…maybe that’s why I’ve never been caught in a jam- thanks! 🤔
