    Just a word of advice for who ever installed the panel, strip the outer jacket of your wires longer. Having to troubleshoot a system with tiny wires like that is no fun at all. Also leave a bit of slack inside the panel, the next tech to come behind will appreciate. And the 120V in the same conduit as the low voltage is a no no. Not code and it will not pass inspection.

    • @ArgaTheRexouium
      @ArgaTheRexouium 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      unfortunately yes you are correct the 120 should be separated from the zones and nacs however we are trying the best to not mess with the original wiring too much theres not much slack due to scrappers getting in and cutting the wiring right next to the conduit so had not much to work with

    • @fullraph
      @fullraph 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ArgaTheRexouium I would have done a junction box or trough (if too many wires) above the panel. 120v can be in it's own accessible jb close by. And then pipe or armored cable inside the wall, to the panel.

    • @ArgaTheRexouium
      @ArgaTheRexouium 25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      There is a trough however the 120 also is also in the trough and theres no easy way to separate it as its all emt and buried in plaster

    Nice choice with the MS-10UD. Extremely user friendly and simple system. I will warn you your AHJ might give you some shit for having the panels 120VAC in the same conduit as the 24VDC fire alarm circuits. It could cause interference and is against code.

    Hey XeroZenith, I was a fire alarm technician back in 2023, You should install a fire alarm booster power supply to hold up all of the notification appliances. I’d recommend the Fire Lite FCPS-24FS8.

      Not bad hey, My school has a whole bunch of EST Booster panels in each buildings. They’re all located in custodian rooms. They have an EST3 system with horn strobes and voice evacuation. Anyways I’m not sure why they have too many booster panels. They have over 10 alarms in each building. That’s probably 2.1 or 3A not sure tho.

    Would've been better with an addressable panel... Because it gives you the exact device when it is activated with an address on it, instead of the zone number. Which has a bunch of conventional devices on that same zone. Although it would be alot expensive to do because of isolator modules, monitor modules, addressable pulls, and smokes.

    • @XeroZenith
      @XeroZenith  26 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      That would be nice, But upgrading to an addressable system in a building this size would be extremely costly (Well over 50k), especially when considering the regulatory and legal complexities of installing a new system compared to maintaining a grandfathered setup. Would make more sense to use that capital for other parts of the property.

    How about a few really cheap security cameras and a few crts to get that horror mood goin
    Tip: these round, this little small camera with 3 round white lights, silver plastic cover, with a button on top, the rest being out of black plastic, with this stupid stand that is good for nothing, these are absolutely terrible landwaste and are great cams for horror because they suck ass. By the way i got one as a webcam and these are wuite good for actuall security because they are durrable and with a bit of plastic foil they are waterproof. After that you could make great horror films in there and if you do i could try to make cgi in that. (Im terrible but i know how shotcut works and i have the power of making keyframes with a video editor. And i can make retro ui in figma (or whatever you ask me to make it in as long as it is a free program) and i can code scratch programms which is irrelevant but the list is to short and now its long enough. perfect.)
    By the way renovating a house like that is timeconsuming and i apprecciate the work and effort really especialy when it is so trashed.
