    I haven't really been into tinted moisturizers or BB creams, but you've intrigued me with these picks, especially the Physician's Formula and the CoverGirl. I feel like CoverGirl products are often overlooked but I've had amazing luck with them.

    I love your videos and always find something useful is every one I watch. I have been mixing my own tinted moisturizer for years. I check the clearance section for foundation. The stores almost always mark down the darker shades which don't sell as often; however, these are perfect for making a DIY product. Just add a few drops to your favorite moisturizer until you get the shade that works best for your skin. The best part of doing this is you can customize the finished product to your needs and save a ton.
    The same thing can be done with sunscreen.
    That said, I want to try the Physicians Formula since it also has RPF and PPF.

    Now that I'm in my 40's I find that foundations are emphasizing texture on my face so I've been using the Wet n wild tinted hydrator and really liking it. It looks more like skin

    I love the e.l.f. BB cream. I actually just got home from Target a bit ago. I went to buy the Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator. I'm thinking that for $5 it couldn't hurt to give it a try... I also picked up their Impossible primer. These are my first two WnW products ever, and so far so good.

      @@slashedbeauty Have you, or anyone else reading this, tried the Photofocus Powder? I picked up some of the Incognito concealer to go with the Tinted hydrator, but they were out of the powder. I'm trying to find out if it would be worth my time and effort to go searching for it or not...

    I have to be super careful with matte finish products because they sit in my wrinkles and make me look way older than I am. The covergirl clean matte BB cream doesn't do this and still looks amazingly matte. So so good! A must try. Fyi combo skin.

      Sure! I would say some of these are slightly off but luckily with tinted moisturizers it's not too obvious --
      Catrice: Medium Warm
      Milani: 210
      Covergirl: Light/Medium
      L'Oreal: Light 03
      PF: Medium

    So do you have a water based primer or moisturizer that you can recommend for when using those types of bb creams?

    • @slashedbeauty
      @slashedbeauty  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My favorite moisturizer is the Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer with SPF 😃 it's water based while stil having dimethicone but very very little, and works great with these-- just make sure you give it at least 15 min between moisturizing and applying the tinted moisturizer. Alternatively, many people use tinted moisturizer in place of both moisturizer and foundation since they're mostly hydrating formulas. I just like to get my SPF in as well.

      I'm not interested in being on hormonal birth control so accutane isn't an option for me. I've been tweaking my skin care and my skin has improved dramatically from using the right products for my skin type. 🙂

    do you have any tips for someone just starting out with face makeup? I've only ever worn eye makeup, and have it down pact but I want to start doing full faces. I have semi-bad acne, and very large pores that I hate sooo much. it's all so overwhelming and I don't know where to start 🥺

    • @slashedbeauty
      @slashedbeauty  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well I do have a video as far as product recommendations for beginners, and I have had consistent acne as an adult as well. You can watch that here: th-cam.com/video/pAITkjjFe4M/w-d-xo.html I would definitely recommend using a sponge for foundation, which you would wet and squeeze out ahead of time, and it will help blur your makeup and make it more buildable than heavy. Also starting with a tinted moisturizer like the ones in this video could be a good stepping stone to work your way up to foundation!
