    I can see your boy's point- the Murrays do have clean classic lines. Agreed. But for me, in your growing arsenal of mud machines, it always comes down to basics, the look of power, strength and authority... and how everything came together perfectly. I'm talkin' about Colonel Craftsman of course! What a tough, tough machine :)

      @@chud327 ya ...I'm Canadian and currently waiting on my unemployment insurance to kick in then I'm actually ordering a few things from that site I have it saved lol. And they have amazingly cheap prices, I was expecting to see 80$ plus for one but not they have hubs from 20$ and up. I truly am happy that I seen this video and if I can leave a note to the company when ordering ill make sure they know I seen your video

    Can you find a way to upgrade that rear diff to a chain drive or something similar? It seemed to struggle move that heavy wheel under stress. Great video as always thats my favorite mud mower for sure

    Good lookin mower I’m gonna build mine simular to thst ( just an idea but what if you lowered the front lift kit a tiny bit and but the big tires off the rear on the front

    Now you just need to lock it and make some fenders for it and it's perfect. I would make sure you run high air pressure in those back tires or that transmission isnt gonna last very long (because the tires grab so good) I had 25x12-9 mud tires on my mud mower and I ran them flat because they leaked, and they grabbed awesome and I never got stuck, but let's say it's no longer a 6 speed any more😂

    i'm curious to know how long the spicer you put in that is going to last with those large tires, most experienced mud mower builders don't recommend running anything bigger than a 22 on a spicer or mst transaxle

    I get what you are trying to do with putting lug nut backwards. But the reason the nuts are smaller or cone shape is to self center the wheel on the bolt pattern. you are not going fast enough to cause harm. Love channel!!!! great info just thought you want to expand your Knowledge.Keep Up the Great Cool info.

    Btw I forgot what pulley sizes are you running on the poulan and do you remember what top speed was before tires? Curious how much the tires themselves gave you? Right under 30mph that’s impressive!

      I have a 3.5 inch rear pulley. The speed was 17 with 20 inch tires, 23 with 22 inch tires, and 28 with 26 inch tall tires. I am impressed too and thanks for watching.

    You should get a old Ford lawn mower and put John Deere rims on it there wider and can’t get a bigger tire on it

    The link for the hub is dead but I think the Powersports part # is KD8LAH-3/4 .$27.95 ea.It is 4 lug on 4" bolt circle. Be careful to get the version with 3/4" all the way thru for the bore (on most riding mowers).

    Do the hubs work on Honda bolt pattern and will the fenders not fit with the wheels ?

    How do you keep the hub from moving backwards do you have to weld it

      I put on the e-clips and put spacers behind the hubs. There are also to allen bolts you can tighten to the axle. You could weld if you like. Thanks for watching.

    How do you do a drit steering on a John Deere riding lawnmower 145 automatic I just don’t like my steering set up factory want to make it off road but steering is a little loose so how would you go about doing that could you please make a video on something thanks

      I don't think so, my Troy Bilts don't use keys and keyways. They have flat spot on both sides of the axle and oval wheel holes... Unless yours is different and thanks for watching.

    How wide is this rim? 7" is required for 26x10 tire as I understand.

      I don't remember the name on the tires, but they are 26 or 27 inches tall. The wheels are from a Nissan Sentra. They are 4 lugs. Thanks for watching!!
