The artist Alba Darabi in an experimental theatre performance, dramatising the essay "Blackening feminism: the situation of Black women in Latin America from the perspective of gender" - "Enegrecendo o feminismo: a situação da mulher negra na América Latina a partir de uma perspectiva de gênero" by the Black Brazilian intellectual, author and feminist activist Sueli Carneiro.
Alba Darabi - artist and ialorixá (female priest of the candomblé religion) - explains in the documentary film Candomblé, which honours her life, how she was able to leave hunger and Catholicism to embrace the candomblé religion. The actress and ialorixás’s captivating performances and life stories, both in the theatre and the terreiro (place of worship), offer an inspiring view of the world.
