I love business degrees and the best reason is your reason number5! Not every organization needs doctors or engineers but literally every single company or even industry needs managers who are business graduates! You can go in your fav industry with business degree either it's tech, fashion, medical, sports or anything even media industry!

@hecto Yes obviously... managerial vacancies are almost always open because every organization needs managers. Find job vacancy at your desired company, contact them either online or on spot. And before doing job, at least do 2 internships during your degree or after your degree because companies want experienced managers who has at least internship experience.

Business: (Marketing, Sales, Enterprise) is more of Practical than theoretical. If two persons go compete to become a consultant to a business, mostly they’ll be extremely happy to see a person that got tons of experience & skills than a college degree with no real experience and they’ll most likely to choose the person with experiences & skills over the one with the degree.

So, Economics is not an engineering major lol it's under business. And if you are talking about billionaires who started their own thing so Warren Buffet is one of them isn't he? Business management jobs are the most high paying around the world, I think you know about finance. Careers in banking, consulting, private equity, hedge fund even world's best engineer (employee) can't beat a finance/accounting graduate in terms of salary and demand. Do you have any idea on what industry your business is going to be? (e.g fnb, fashion, etc) If you already have an idea, then I suggest you study something that is actually related to that field instead of Business.
I'm a business student myself and most of the time, what I've learned is that with business major it's more about being active in different organizations and engage with a lot of people so that you can build your network and eventually able to create a business. If you're more of an introvert person, then I suggest you chose a more technical route in creating business! This is just my opinion, and I think when choosing a business school you have to be careful in choosing the uni because regardless of what you think, famous universities would probably guarantee more successful job applications in the future because in business, it's all about the connections! (Unless you have an unfair advantage which are different for everyone then of course this advice might not be that useful)
Tbh I chose business school because I got a scholarship and I think if you work hard on whatever you major in, you'll have a fair chance of being successful as long as you want to work hard for it, wishing you all the best!
