Peter Hickman and Michael Dunlop are absolute legends. Then again they are all legends. I’m a Hickey fan but wow Michael Dunlop is probably the most fearless rider I’ve ever seen. He constantly pulls 10 out of tens. Hard-luck with the reliability of his bike because this race could have gone either way, These guys are total heroes.
I look at the lap times of these twins and marvel at how technology has advanced over the years! I own a Honda RC30 and remember when they set the 120 mph averge lap back in 1989 with I believe, Steve Hislop. Even more amazing is some of the bikes are utilising twin shock rear suspension! Now not only are these twins equalling the, for it’s era, super trick RC30 but Bruce Ainsley also went round on a 250 at a 120 mph avaerage not so long ago!
No to offence Hickey but MD was absolutely flying but as we know the twins are not the most reliable they are pushed to the limit on every single lap so it’s just unfortunate that MDs bike didn’t want to be a bike anymore I don’t want to jinx Hickman but can he emulate what Hutchinson done all them years ago But the result of the race has to go to Paul Jordan what a ride what a ride

MD is the man put any bike under him and he will ride the wheels off (If he trusts it) if PBM Ducati had put a bit more effort in with testing, then the superstock and superbike races could be a lot different. Hard to beat the M1000RR under Hicky with any other bike on the grid. Congrats to all and well done Paul Jordan 3rd place with two black eyes and a dodgy wrist 🤯
@@boycottjews depends on age and bike history maybe - I'm over 50 and ride a Speed Twin, had a few sports bikes but too frantic for my slow brain. 🤣 Thanks for your comment mate 👍🏻

These videos are amazing and the pictures we're getting are truly monumental. But 3 deaths in 5 days just for this year is too much. I heard that one fatality was misidentified at first. I wonder what the alive one thought when he came back to his paddock and saw his wife/gf/kids/mother...
Generally: yes. In the TT: less so. With proper gear and an unobstructed slide riders can (and do) walk away from crashes at 150+. The high fatalities of the TT are partially due to road surface, but primarily because there is no slide zone and the entire track is lined with stone walls or stone buildings. In regards to airbags all of them do wear integrated airbag suits, but again those can't help much if you're hitting a brick wall at 150mph.
