I'm a main tyrant since it came out, I've only played that deck nonstop, so here are a couple comments First, Blade doesn't suspend, just gives you 3k Second, Argomon (the limited one) is a BLESSING, there's no reason why you shouldn't play the one you're allowed to play. Third, 4 Izzi IMO is A LOT, you don't really want to see more than 1-2 in a game, I was playing 3 before but I cut it to 2, and the deck just feels waaay more smooth, like I have less bricky hands. Also, as you mentioned but it's important to reiterate, Tentomon is THE BEST rookie you can ask for, one counter for this deck is taunt, so you basically play your Tyrant, that plays another body, people usually will counter it by taunting the OTHER body so when it attacks they can blast and destroy Tyrant, but having a Tentomon is the answer for it, you can suspend YOUR OWN digimon that is taunted so they can't do anything about it. And in the case of DexDoruga you can suspend their digimon which is trying to block, so you can attack security directly and safely. So great point explaining why it's the most important rookie in the deck. The deck is honestly hard to play, it's REALLY slow, since you mainly control the board and slowly outpace and outswarm your opponent. But it has a lot of hard matchups but has some free ones too. It tends to be a bit bricky, so you have to build the deck thinking about it and optimize it as much as possible. I love this deck because it's a big toolbox deck, with all the different things the lvl 6 you have access to do, that's why I don't like only seeing Shiva as the other lvl 6, I think you're missing out on some amazing tech options. In my experience, the hardest matchups are: Mirage, can OTK you in turn 2, is unblockable and you can't redirect, has iceclad so it kills your big digimon for free unless you have Paladin mode. Is WAY faster than you, and doesn't care if you have a big wall set up because you can't block it either way, and it always has jamming so it doesn't care about hitting big things in security. 7GDL, on the contrary, it's not fast at all, but all their digimon float, it has constant recovery, and trashes your security without having to attack, and then an Ogudo kills you instantly. Also it runs some removal options. Mother Shoto, if they see 2 black Tai, you're screwed, that means mother has 19k DP at all times, yes, you can get past that, but Tyrant's buffs only last for a turn, while Mother has access to constant DP buffs each turn with Tai, and they don't care if you get past it once or twice, as long as they can keep setting up bodies, they'll kill you eventually. it also has taunt which if you don't have Tento can COMPLETELY destroy your board. Security control, no need to explain this, they just run too many removal options. One funny unexpected counter of the deck is Ragna, since it can boost itself to absurd amounts of DP, like 30k, and it's also unaffected so... yeah, I've never been able to win against Ragna, good thing almost no one plays that deck lmao And that's most of it, those are the decks I usually lose against. Magna is 50-50 since both struggle against each other, and DexDoruga becomes easy once you understand how to play against it, while most Purple and Red decks are free matchups that honestly don't put much of a fight, unless they highroll and kill you before you can stablish a Tyrant. Same with Red hybrid, they can outpace you and kill you quickly but once you put a wall, they can't do anything anymore. Also you HARD COUNTER other green decks, they're basically a less powerfull version of Tyrant (Bloom, Zephaga, Leopard, RapidX) Also there are some combos which can be funny AF, like if you have an Alliance lopmon, a Grankuwaga, and a Hercules for peircing, if it has the promo MegaKabuterimon under it, it can pierce, and if you suspend Grankuwaga for Alliance, it will give it sec+1, plus the one from alliance, plus the regular one, plus trashing security, that means removing 4 securities in one swing. It's unexpected and really fun to pull off. I personally run: 4 Tento 2 KoKabuterimon 2 Alliance Lopmon 2 Pomumon 1 Terriermon 3 Stingmon 3 BladeKuwagamon 3 promo Kuwagamon 4 Metallife - the heart and soul of the deck 3 Promo MegaKabuterimon 1 MegaKabuterimon ACE 1 Argomon 4 Tyrant 2 Shiva ACE 1 GranKuwaga ACE 1 HerculesKabuterimon 1 AncientBeetlemon (the new one) 2 Imperial Paladin mode ACE 2 Izzi 3 Memory boost 2 Trainings 2 Scrambles 1 HPD
This is the comment I was looking for. I love when people talk about the decks have tons of experience with and can offer insight as to card choices and motivations. Two questions. Which Terriermon are you referring to, and is that the 1 cost evolution Stingmon? Thanks and happy new year.
@oreox1000 oh the terriermon is the memory choker but that and the pomumon were just techs I added because I went to a regional last month. They are flex spots. I just like having something that can slow down other decks, and Argomon can play them for free so they're great. And yes it's the 1 cost evo stingmon. He's the best champion you could ask for
@ makes sense. I thought it could be tamer reduction Terrier, but mem block is always good. Pomumon is oddly good for this deck and I’ve never tried Argo because I’m a purist when it comes to traits.
Solid list as always. It was fun seeing you add Lopmon - when I first started playing, I found your channel and my first deck was a modified version of your Bloomlordmon build. I added in Lopmon and swapped out 1 or 2 level 5s for Toropiamon.
Interesting list. I like the different options for budget. I actually just ordered this myself with the MegaKabu and Kuwagamon Promos. Looking forward to trying it out, but I might have to tinker with it a bit. No Hercules is surprising me, and I have to look into those Scrambles.
You are alergic to the promos (I get it) but I like the Promo Kuwagamon over BT15 Kabuterimon, it comes in handy a lot. That said, Kabuterimon is good if you are playing MegaKabu ACE, as it is much less likely to get popped before you can blast over it.

You can run the EX8 MegaKabuterimon when it comes out instead of the Promo one.

BladeKuwagamon oh you mean KNIFE SHIP?!
Wooow YOU dont have an Ukkomon in your deck??? Its not normal xDD
