in Bt15, we've seen a couple topping greymon lists. However when bt16 rolls around, Magnamon X and Numemon will take the meta by storm. Raid is literally one of the only game mechanics that HARD COUNTERS Magna X. Pick up the greymon pieces now, because this deck is great now, but an incredible anti-meta pick in BT16

This deck gets absurd in BT16, but for now, the Dawn/Dusk deck still has a lot of really cool plays it can make. This deck prints memory with cards like lunamon and the tamers of this deck. Apollomon and Dianamon are broken boss monsters that can win the game on their own with the right setup. And then there's gracenovamon, the card that just breaks boards and puts out absurd pressure. I'm actually playing a very different version of the deck still. I'm playing the starter deck dragon mode with bt12 fighter mode, running a bukamon egg. Starting the board state with bt3 davis, bt16 davis and ken, and the promo veemon in raising you can do upwards of 5 checks while bottom deck their whole field while keeping your turn. Push veemon out of raising, davis ken to play a rookie of your choice, evo over promo vee for 1, evo over other rookie for 2, dna into new paildramon to suspend their field and gain 3 memory. Swing once, then go into the starter dragon mode for 4. Bukamon inheritble will gain you 1, keeping your turn. You can then dna the bt12 lvl 4's into another lvl 5 to gain back 2 memory. Digi over dragon mode into bt12 fighter mode for 2 to bottom deck their field while recycling dragon mode to your hand. Swing fighter mode into security for 2 checks and 15k, then double swing paildramon. End turn by going into another dragon mode to go wide, go into a quartzmon to stun tamers, drop another davis and ken to set up for next turn, etc. If you managed to do one chip damage earlier on before this turn, then you wouldve swung for game anyways. Quartzmon is my chosen lvl 7 for this deck since you can go into a dragon mode to go wide and then into quartzmon to gain back memory. If you kept turn then you can dna to unsuspend from the quartzmon effect to potentially swing for game (if quartzmon itself didn't already end the game). It also basically gives you an auto win against hunters or bloom if you get into a quartz lock, since your fighter mode can bottom deck their whole field. I've personally won my locals on multiple occasions whenever I bring out this variation of the deck, so its pretty much always my go to! The thing I love with imperialdramon at the moment is that it is so toolboxy that you can really build it however you want. I'd also note that I'd personally recommend running the new promo veemon over bt16 veemon for the extra draw power. Promo veemon will essentially always give you 1 memory of efficiency by evoing over it, whereas the bt16 veemon might not get you value because it only gives the memory when another digimon is played or digivolved. I also find the extra draw power more useful than the +2k dp, but again the deck has so many variations that you can really build it however you'd like.
You have an incredible voice 🤣
Hi can you do a update to this deck????
> on deletion deck > run a billion aces ???
@@Jimmy-xe5jd it's not an on deletion deck
@@TCGTamer the whole point of the Etemon/Sukamon archetype is to loop them from the trash as much as possible, half the deck is recursion via on deletion inherited effects
@@Jimmy-xe5jd that's only true if you use all the bad support cards
@@TCGTamer saying that the deck’s searchers and protection cards are bad is a WILD take
@@Jimmy-xe5jd it's a true take. The "protection" that exists within the archetype is super niche and specific, and half of the searchers don't work. This list only plays good cards
I think because pause plug-in might be a better option card, but I'd would love to hear your thoughts on this
Tell me it's acid injection
So imo, the closest to the recent metas I thought I'd like to center it around was in heavyleomon.
Sue-kamon. That is all.
Also nobody is playing omnimon merciful mode. Really nice top end to use vs numemon/ etemon forced attack.
It will be better now that Demon Lords will be running around.
"anti-meta" deck proceeds to play 8 ukkamon in a shakkomon deck plus vakyrimon and megagargo ace lol
@@irwingbrasil anti meta means it beats the meta. In many other card games, anti meta decks still play a bunch of "meta" cards, just organized into a pile that doesn't let the best decks play
I've been playing Sukamon since BT11. I agree the Chuumons suck. They are good for turn 1 but after that, I almost never have the memory to budget for them. I already have most of these pieces since I was building Numemon-Ukkomon long before it bec was me viable. I had the idea long before to exploit Etemon to force the Ace and maybe even using Suka's Curse to go over Etemon with a KingSukamon, so it makes me happy to see it getting more propaganda.
they really don't suck at all, and I'm an etemon main as well and have been play testing a lot with them and ukko.
@@taurusfire2083 there are much better options for a black/yellow bottom end than chuumon
@@TCGTamer for they way you're playing, sure. If you're playing an actual etemon style deck then no there really isn't
Genuinely curious. Why do you think the Chuumon are terrible? I may be answering my own question, but I see how both Ukko can be beneficial in the deck as memory is always important and Ukko BT16 is a great searcher.
@@oreox1000 yeah, it's just there are so many better options. Plus, most of the chuumon that are decent are pure yellow, which really sucks. Platinumsuka is the best level 4 in the archetype, and the fact that half of the decent chuumons can't evolve into it really sucks
Pure sukamn decks kinda sucka...😂
Says chumons are terrible. Stop watching vid. Absolutely no idea how to play the deck. just hinging on Taunt+Aces being OP. Uses 8 ukkomons and doesn't even have a digitama that synergizes with them.
@@FullMetalSnorlax have you ever played this game?
@@TCGTamer I won an EVO cup with Sukamon so I must be doing a few things right. Got paired with Blue base MagnaX player, 2 Yellow base MagnaX players, 1 Rapid X player and 1 Numemon player. We only had 3 Numemon entrants, Maganmon X was much more popular at my Evo cup.
@@FullMetalSnorlax oh that's really awesome! Congrats! If you're that proficient with the deck, I bet you know that there are a bunch of different ways to play it!
@@FullMetalSnorlax also, do you mean the Evo cups of the old days, with like a few hundred people, or just a local tournament with like, your 8 buddies?
Taunting the magna X into attacking your level 6 Etemon is just as good as having an ACE but without the risk of overflow. Also if the Magna player has a BT15 Salamon in raising the Magnamon will become immune to taunt. so good luck relying solely on that.
So happy to see this. I hope I can find the deck I can use in the next in-person regional and fingers crossed this or something from Ex-06 (from you) can give me ideas.
Off topic, damn you mentioned old yugioh formats, I thought you would say the last 3 years, I agree with you on this isn’t tier 0 format
@@Kojoizfreshz lol I got out of Yu-Gi-Oh when links and master rule 5 came out lol
My favorite part was when he played a full 12
Great list. My own list feels good but tbh this deck feels very "high roll" like any other deck if we don't see the pieces in sec we get punished more unlike other decks
I've been playing Numemon and Sukamon for a good while since BT11. The Numemon deck feels like a weird amalgamation of pieces that just happen to work really well together even being able to exploit cards that would be good in other decks, specifically Yellow. I guess it is sort of a side effect of Digimon's game design from color branching. We ain't using the new Black/Yellow Geremon, WaruMonzaemon or ShinMonzaemon which were specifically designed to be used in the Numemon/Minzaemon core. We are using Ukkomon with its generic White support effects. Venusmon and Valkyrimon, which you would expect more from a dedicated Yellow deck fit in cuz Monzaemon overrides its black ancestry to skip straight into a Yellow Vaccine and Etemon, which was originally designed with the EX05 Metal Etemon in mind, seems to have been an oversight since it makes it super easy to force the Ace. Even the main Memory Tamer is Purple. Its color synergy is unimportant compared to the effect. I personally predict that Etemon, despite being a cheap Uncommon, will rise in price as more Black and Yellow Level 6 Aces get added to the game ESPECIALLY with the upcoming angel support next set and I would love to see Targetmon see some usage in Yellow decks to play off Etemon's inheritable for an easy Blocker. I love Sukamon combos, so seeing them in more angel decks would be hilarious.
Same idea as what I have been trying to do, didn’t think of promo armadillo though, will need to get some of those for my deck XD
i think its tier 0 for digimon. Tier 0 for different TCGs differ id say. I think nume was fine before bt16 but now its very much a upper upper tier 1/0 deck now.
No Lui Ohwada?
I'm sorry, but what exactly is the new rule? Players have to play the whole event and can't drop? I'm curious about this issue
If the event is 8 rounds it won't be cut short because one guy is 6-0
Tier 0 really depends on which definition you go by. I've always heard the definition of it as 65% of top cut. Which in Peoria's case, isn't quite true. Like but still pretty close
Congratulations on topping! In regards to the mandatory rounds, I see the pros and cons of making the 8 rounds mandatory. I heard that there was an undefeated after Round 6, so that player had to keep going for 2 more rounds and unfortunately they lost in Round 8.
Hi panda! Yeah, I was the only undefeated after round 6 and lost in round 8, while I’m still proud of my 2nd place finish, and 0 shade to the 1st place winner, I wish I didn’t even have to play round 8. 2 games up undefeated seems like it should be a bye round for the winner. I do really like that there is more chances for everyone to move themselves up in the ranks for playing out the last rounds, but man being the person who lost first even though being the only undefeated for 2 rounds hurts in such a weird way.
@@Nocht35 :( I'm sorry to hear. I definitely see the pros and cons of playing out the remaining rounds but I tend to lean more towards not because that tells me there's a design problem with the game.
Tier 0 in YuGiOh is such an all-encompassing majority of competitive representation that when trying to compare and apply the term to metas in other tcgs, you either need to lower the bar to mean, "overcentralizing to the extent it drastically hinders competitive diversity without significant enough room for meaningful counterplay", or just shrug and concede that Tier 0 may as well be YGO-exclusive because that game creates decks like Tele-Dad, IshizuTear, and Snake-Eyes every other year.
I dont think this deck is tier 0 but I think this deck is far better than the second vest deck. I think numemon is tier 0.5. I mean come on it got 1st 2nd 3rd AND 4th place lol. I dont think there is any deck tgat can compete as well as this one
Im surprised by the low or non existent number of digimon emperor on the nume decks that tops thoughts about this?
Another player who got top 8 at Peoria here... I personally felt like it would've been nice, but the ratios of everything in the deck are so tight that it's hard to fit everything. You're cutting a Numemon or a rookie to fit in a 2nd Lui or a Digimon Emperor. He feels good when he comes up, but he felt unnecessary. He's good into Yellow Vaccine and Nume, but less good into other stuff. I felt i'd rather commit the slot to something else, rather than help me in a match up i'm already comfortable or favored in.
@@ateen1220 And I guess that makes the point of the video more clear then Theres more than just numemon around, but usually nume is what ends up at the top
Congrats for topping, I hope I see you at nationals. I hope we actually get the stats for the conversion scores for all the decks for the in person regionals. I topped with numemon in the online regionals. Numemon is clearly the bdif which before this format people doubted and kept fearing the gate keeper and boogie man of magna x.
It's funny how everyone says this meta is so diverse or whatever when there are 4 decks (which range from moderately expensive to wallet-breaking) that practically guarantee you a spot near the top of an event. This meta feels very unfun for budget decks.
Bt15 definitely felt more accessible. The gap between tier 1 and the rest has widened.
Yup
What's budget? Phoenixmon topped, machinedramon topped(without raremon), mirage is not expensive.
I'll say I disagree with the point of nume being the highest skill intensive tier 1 deck. The conversion rate would lead me to believe it carried players further than another deck would. Of course good players will win, snd skill gaps will eventually reveal themselves. The deck draws, plays bodies for fun and has natural outs to the other top decks. That said, I have no issues with the deck existing. People who run it and top have no obligation to explain themselves or justify their pick. They just need to worry about making travel arrangements to nats and storing their prize cards. Good cards are good.
For me, I was building Numemon decks WAY before they were meta or the price hike on the Reboot Monzaemons because I wanted to build around ShinMonzaemon. I naturally ended up with all the pieces I needed especially cuz my friend got all the Ukkomon and Lui stuff he didn't need. I was also building Sukamon long before so I had plenty of Etemon and wanted to trying some silly stuff with Valkyrimon. That is how I ended up with a super good deck with Digimon I love.
Congrats on topping! So happy for you.
How do you win the mirage matchups?
Chumon shuts down memory gain, so double chu, or force the bounce on chu to keep your stack alive, and venusmon shuts down when digivolving and taking effects so no bounces, no memory. Also if they ever leave a lvl 5 just etemon taunt into free blast Evo valk to clear it.
Numemon is not tier 0 but it is definitely head and shoulders away the best tier 1 deck to the point of absurdity, I forget what regionalkit was that numemon was 6 of top 8. Also lmao at it being a high skill deck haha
Nume is the highest skill tier 1 deck this format by far
None of the decks in this game are high skilled, but knowing how far to extend yourself without over extension, and when to ace vs when to Venus is a thing. Magna x is just build a stack and swing, no thoughts or cares given. Did I see my lvl 4 and 6, ok build magna. There is never another play with magna or rapid really. Mirage is solitaire so you tell me out of the 4 which requires more thought
@@ZeroKOR1 The need to measure out your turn is disappearing with insane memory efficiency and blanket protections for certain decks. I wish ace cards were less compatible with the best decks in the format and more compatible with the decks that struggle to find their footing in the current tier 1 or none meta
@@TCGTamera monkey can pick up nume and top
@@bretbeebe4061 the best decks are the best because they abuse aces. Magna can abuse either blue or yellow lvl 5 aces, while nume abuses Valkyrie. If you removed the aces, strength would go down and we would have bt15 again which sucked. The determination on what is t1 is what can use successfully the best aces
I was just thinking about this deck. I think it can be used this format.
Can you evolve onto ukkomon?, not quite sure how he works
No, unless they print a level 4 that can evolve from a white Digimon. They're there to gain you advantage on your turn.
@@DarkusFireBlaze3582 there are already 2 level 4s that can evolve on white Digimon in this game.
Interesting choices for the deck and techs.
Crazy! Finally see you
no cool boy?
Cool boy is only good in gaiomon
hello any updates on this deck?
I was using Palmon at the beginning but on this deck you need your searcher and using terrier + lopmon, instead of palmon I'm using 2 togemons bt14 to help to play izzy for 1 mem. The palmon combo is so hard to do with this deck. Also Blade is sooooo good to not running it at 4.
Glad to see someone else going with Lillymon ACE over MegaKabuterimon ACE. The Blast Evo bait & switch attack target is a cute trick but hard to not get your Lv.4 blown up unless running BT15 Kabuterimon. Green by far has the least amount of ways to efficiently deal with small bodies such as floodgates outside battle, and Lilly ACE does that. Especially if running a pure Motimon egg base, a suspend outlet is generally more valuable than a DP boost outlet. You can't play her with Tyrant's effect, but she is a fantastic hard slam on later turns, suspending a good attack target, spinning away a smaller body that already swung, AND being an 8k body to suspend for Tyrant's End of Turn effect. (Critically, Monzaemon X is 8k, while MegaKabuterimon is 7k so you would need to boost itself.) Even for lists running KoKabuterimon she isn't that much less searchable either.
You can’t play tyrant with tyrants its play cost 14 it has to be play cost 13 or less just heads up
You can, you just can't digivolve tyrant over tyrant
That requirement is for digivolve over a lv6 insectoid digimon. The digivolve effect let you play other tyrant if you want, but pay 6 mem just for other tyrant is not worth, doesn't have any on play effect. If you don't have any lv6 to play, the best is to play the new lv4 and 5 because gives dp boost. Which I don't know why is not playing 4 blade which is a very good card.
Stingmon in raising with mem ess is always Good. I've been play testing this deck alot I'm enjoying it
I really like Hammer Spark myself, but I think it might be a bit of a crutch card; I feel like if I just play/build better I might not need it as much. As for Invincible Dragon-Insect Fusion, I think it's bonkers and I will be trying it at two. It's great to be able to get Blocker in the deck, not to mention an invincible blocker. The level 4s, I like to sprinkle in a Lighdramon or the new Togemogumon to bridge the DNA digivolve colors. Interested to see if you think that's worth a consideration.
I wouldn't call hammer a crutch card, but it is definitely something you can remove if you don't feel like it helps. The dragon-insect fusion is pretty great; when I tested it at 2 it just felt a little clumpy. I do like the armors and I think they're worth considering. It's definitely something worth testing! This deck has an insane number of cards at its disposal now, and a lot of them are actually valid choices
Shoutout to you! I got top 4 evo cup today with this deck. Some changes I had were: 2 Bokomons and Megakabuterimon Ace. Every single game I played was a close game.
what would happen if you dna into paildramon with the magnamon who have the effect when it leave the field other then by one of your effect play a veemon? is it by an effect of your or is dna a mechanic and it would trigger?
Why not run with the old Magnamon X? 1 or 2
In the pre-release tournament, I was already able to get hold of a Fighter Mode Ace, a Veemon, two Option Cards and a Paildramon. I ordered two boxes... since I already play the deck in its old form. Thankfully, I already have all the other staples. Nevertheless I'm hoping for at least one more Paildramon. The rest will probably be quite affordable :-) Thanks for the profile-idea!
I may misunderstood someting, but how does Partition play around Crimson Blaze? Or how does Shakkoumon play around that card?
It allows you to get two of your bodies off the board and into a new body that is not affected by CB. The deck doesn't have to just leave a bunch of 2k bodies in play if you suspect your opponent has it. I didn't phrase that very well at all in the video so I apologize for the confusion
@@TCGTamer doesn't crimson blaze stop play digimon by effects. like partition?
@@mufasa5851 it does, but all of your partition dudes are unaffected by CB
