Absolutely beautiful Laura, three gorgeous cards. I really enjoyed the different ideas of how to use these tapes and as you say easily adapted for patterned paper strips (of which I have many!) I have also just recently started using Bearly Art glue and really like it….I treated myself to one of the My Sweet Petunia Glue Presses because I have trouble with arthritis in my hands and have found the combination of the Bearly Art glue and the glue press really good. Thank you for sharing and 3 beautiful cards. ❤😘
Thank you so much for watching Orla! So glad you liked the finished cards and I hope it's given you some inspiration of ways you can use up your paper strips too! Great to hear about how your finding the glue too! That's so helpful to know.
@Meerkat Makes by L • Laura: I really love the use of the stencil to create a washi or paper strip image. I have a stock of washi tape that I love but haven't thought of ways to use them. So, your technique is perfect for me. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and creative vision. 👍

Just found your channel and although I have bene making cards for 30 years this is the first time I have seen your Washi tape idea. Guess I need to invest in some tape. I am in the USA so ordering from the UK is a bit expensive in terms of sending the package across the sea.
Aw thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed it and I'm glad it's given you some fresh ideas! There's plenty of washi tape in USA so I'm sure you'll be able to get your hands on some! 😁 happy crafting!
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave me a comment ☺️ I love making shaker cards 😃 so glad that was your favourite. So, my first tip would be where possible if you're having that issue with your tape would be to ensure that some of the tape wraps around the card so that when it's glued down to your card base it seals it. You could even add a thin layer of matte medium glue over the top so that it seals it in place and dries matte so you wouldn't see it. Or you could add glue to the back of your tape as you use it. I haven't personally had that issue, but it does all come down to the quality of the tape you buy and some tapes are more sticky than others. I hope that helps. ☺️
Thank you so much for watching Jeanne and I'm so glad you liked the finished card. Yes of course my magnets came with my glass mat from Glassboard Studio but you can buy the magnets individually from them too. 🙂
😅 of course! If you have some patterned paper you'd like to use up! I was just sharing ways you could also use up your Washi tape if you had a stash you wanted to use up and were a bit stuck for ideas.

Love the shaker card the most! I’ve had my washi tape lift. Any hints on keeping from lifting on the edges?

I hope it’s ok to ask where I can buy the magnets you use. It would be so much easier for me to have the handle to grip. Beautiful cards. Thank you. X

@@meerkatmakesbyl-cardsbylaura thank you so much. Xx
It is really waste of washy tapes. Cheaper to use pattened paper
😅 of course! If you have some patterned paper you'd like to use up! I was just sharing ways you could also use up your Washi tape if you had a stash you wanted to use up and were a bit stuck for ideas.
