Whenever I get tired of the garbage TV we have today, and that is quite often, I watch the Andy Griffith show. It never fails to bring my spirits up. I’ve seen all the episodes many many times, but always good. This was truly the golden age of entertainment which will never come again.
The fact that this show is just as beloved and watched regularly today as it was then is a testament to its timelessness. Tv Land agd METV wouldn't be the same without it.
Love it when Andy teases Barney and Barney gets real mad and messes up his hair. 😂😂😂 They had great chemistry,RIP Andy & Don and thank you for the laughs 💜💜💜
You actually see Juanita one or two times she is the mayors daughter and one time she sings when the Hollywood director comes to Mayberry and they’re gonna cut down the oak tree.
The great news is these shows never die they're still around today... I have em in dvd's and can watch them anytime... Shows like this and westerns, love the westerns like Gunsmoke and big valley... Tons of great entertainment in a time when most entertainment suks!

@@StoicWallflower That isn't Juanita. That's the mayor's "tempestuous" daughter Josephine Pike. Josie Lloyd who played her actually showed up later in the series as Lydia Crosswaith, Goober's love interest in "Goober and The Art Of Love" 🙂
It was real,,Barney was so funny that it was hard not to laugh so they just left it in,,,Barney's was a amazing,,,Don Knott's played the charter very well,,,
It's absolutely real. In the episode where Barney says, "Here At The Rock, We Have Two Basic Rules", Andy has to deliberately turn around because he couldn't help laughing.
This cracks me up!! Especially when Barney realizes how Andy sneaks up on him and teases him and then he gets all mad at Andy and worked up over it!!!🤣🤣😂😂😆
My Dad was the head of an oil company here in Texas and he and his cronies were always pulling shit on each other. Throwing dice, playing cards/dominoes. There was the crack minded man in our home town who some of Dad's friends took him under their wing, got him a place to live and went to Goodwill and got him some clothes. One day, they got him a pr. of boots from a dead man in town and they set up a P.A. system in his trailer. Then they talked into a michrophone while he was sleeping. "Shorty, give me back my boots, Shorty!! Give me back my boots!!" Next thing they knew those boots flew out the front door! They were always pulling pranks like Andy does. Great memories.
This song is from "Andy Forecloses" April 24, 1961 (Season 1, Episode 28). Interestingly Ward Cleaver sang this song three year prior on Leave It To Beaver in "Happy Weekend" December 25, 1958 (Season 2, Episode 13). The lyrics are: Soft o'er the fountain, Ling'ring falls the southern moon; Far o'er the mountain, Breaks the day too soon! In thy dark eyes slender, Where the warm light loves to dwell, Weary looks, yet tender, Speak their fond farewell! 'Nita! Juanita! Ask thy soul if we should part! 'Nita! Juanita! Lean thou on my heart. When in thy dreaming, Moons like these shall shine again, And daylight beaming Proves thy dreams are vain, Whilt thou not, relenting, For thy absent lover sigh, In thy heart consenting To a pray'r gone by! 'Nita! Juanita! Let me linger by thy side! 'Nita! Juanita! Be my own fair bride! Written by Caroline Norton

You’re probably thinking of “The Rivals” (season 3, episode 28). Thelma Lou walks into the sheriff’s office, and to try to make her jealous, Barney holds down the switchhook of the phone while pretending to talk to another girlfriend named “Sally.” His deception is exposed when the phone rings while he’s talking.
I hate to say this but Bonnie was an easy target for Andy to pick on cuz you knew how he will react to it and would do it on purpose. Which made it really funny
