Very nice! I think I might build one for my Nissan nv200 and then insulate the interior wall of it toward the inside of the van.It would make a great cool box for part of the year, the part that doesn’t get enough solar power for the fridge.

Great videos James. So informative. I like your simple approach, less to go wrong. Battery operated lights are perfect. Simple fridge solution too, presume that’s plugged into the car lighter socket. I see your power bank is in the new box but presume that’s just storing it. Is it possible to recharge that power bank through the car’s 12v lighter socket whilst driving?
Thanks, glad you like them! Yes the fridge can be plugged into the lighter socket or the power bank, and the power bank can be charged through the the lighter socket though I may look at solar soon too!
May I ask what you do for a living? Here in America only very wealthy people can afford to have a home with a garage to work and nice tools plus the time to spend doing such detailed projects And to be able to film them Wow you must be a very fortunate rich person! I wish I was you, I am homeless and trying to live in a nv209 but it is misserably tiny for me
Hi, I have a 9-5 job, and work on the van on days off and evenings. I don't have a garage or a workshop, but am fortunate to be able to borrow the workshop and tools at my job when I have bigger projects. I've very much been doing this van conversion on a budget and it has taken a long time which has helped spread the cost a bit. Hope that helps to explain my scenario a bit :)
North America? South America? Central America? Garages aren't reserved for the very wealthy in the USA. You just have to make moves. Besides, you'll be the wealthiest person if you read and know your Bible.
Love the turnbuckle idea!
Thanks, it's worked a treat for my van conversion!
You are so talented! Just swing right on by Oceanside California and you can do my minivan! 💜🤣
Excellent m8. A very educational vid. Thanks.
Great video and great job 👏 👍
I made one yesterday with no experience in building since high school. I did shop 25 years ago.
put a soft foam on the lid for more comfortable feet or seat.great job
Great I want to build a box like this on both sides though.

These videos have been so helpful, huge thanks! Do you happen to have an upcoming video for a rear door awning or bug screens?
Hi, and thanks! I will be featuring a rear door covering soon, but not bug screens as that isn't an issue where I live in the UK
