    Thanks for the ride along Scott. Enjoying seeing sights that I will hopefully get to travel and see! I know my Allison manual says our trans can handle up to 300 deg f coming out of our retarder.. seems high and it freaks me out but that’s what it does.. especially when your not moving as fast and do not have the air moving over the cooling system.

    Looks like it was a good trip. Funny how you seem to be more worried about the speed up those hills now that you are tuned into the trans temp. :)

      I had a small analog gauge before. This one is reading 9-15 deg high at higher ranges

      the threads are stripped in the housing
