- Griffith'experiment - This lecture explains about the Griffith's experiment to prove the transfer of gene between bacteria known as the genetic transformation. Griffith carried out an experiment in mice using pneumococcus bacteria to check whether a non virulent strain converted into a virulent strain. Watch this video lecture to get the Griffith's experiment explained.

Thank you for watching the Griffith's experiment with easy explanation.
I am from USA taking microbiology for this semester, and having so much difficulty to understand my professor because she goes off topic than focusing on the main topic. After I watch your video, I did understand throughly. I SHOUT OUT YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!
Bhaiya what about Avery, McLeod and McCarty(1944)
The way u explained it was bombastic!
I really appriciate u sir!
And when someone have problem in bio or science i directly lead him to follow ur channel and get benefits from ur valueble vedios✌
I am studying from Switzerland and your videos are helping a lot, thank you, best wishes Alessandro ( blond )!!’

Excellent sir👌 very helpful
You're welcome
Question Sir please answer ---
s strain cause death to mice due to presence of capsule not in dna of bacteria
But heat killed (s) don't have capsule then how it lead to death of mice .....
The s strain DOES have the gene that encodes for that capsule, however, the r strain does not. As explained, the capsule is what gives the s strain the ability to kill. When this strain is heat-killed, it is no longer lethal, but the gene that encodes for the capsule is still present. When this heat-killed s strain bacteria is coupled with the non-lethal r strain, the gene is transferred from the s strain to the r strain through horizontal gene transfer which now gives it the ability to produce the capsules initially exclusive to the s strain, and is now lethal. I hope this helps!
Please explain messelson and stahl experiment in another vedio @Shomu's Biology

Can you please done an experiment of Avery transformation experiment
Okay
@@shomusbiologyofficial Thank you
Kya ap double helix DNA par video bana kar explain kar denge please
it is a very nice video sir which gives very valuable information about DNA as a genetic material but i just think that the experiment of Avery, Macleod and McCarty came in 1944 should be taken in consideration along with Griffith and Harshey-chase experiment.
thanks a lot for your valuable guidance.
What is responsible for capsule formation?
Great sir

Sir please Explain Trq Polymerase....?
+iqi malik will do that soon
Thanku....i am From Pakistan.....the way you teach is very nice...i am also a teacher :)
Good explanation
In the last case, if the s-type bacteria is sharing it's genome to r-type then the r-type bacteria will behave like a s-type, it is fine.
But if the r-type bacteria is in contact with the immune system of the host, then how will it survive? How will it kill the host?
Thank you it's useful to me..
Super 👍
A lot of thnks sir .,....
Give English lecyure in this way.Keep it up
Thank you
Sir if heat killed r stain + heat killed s stain injected to rat then what will happen

I have a doubt: during to prove DNA as genetic material which is transformed, What would happen if both RNase and protease were added together instead of individually?
The bacterial transformation happen
