The Jordan IV is one of the most famous shoes from what is undoubtedly the most famous sneaker series of all time. First released in 1989, the Tinker Hatfield designed Air Jordan 4 was released at a time when Michael was at the peak of his powers. Featuring many new design concepts including straps on the side for increased ankle support, the J4 also featured the air sole heel first seen in the Jordan III. Original examples of this Military Blue colourway are something of a holy grail for serious sneakerheads, with deadstock examples all but non-existent. The Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue” is confirmed to release globally on May 4th, 2024. Full family sizes (Adult, Grade School, Little Kids, Toddler, Crib) are expected to be available on SNKRS, Foot Locker, Finish Line, Dick’s, other nationwide retailers, and specialty sneaker boutiques. Below are official images of the Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue” aka “Industrial Blue”. Again, the shoes are confirmed to release globally on May 4th, 2024. Prior to the official release date, there were two earlier drops on SNKRS via Shock Drop (April 11th) and Exclusive Access (April 25th)
The 1989 debut witnessed the Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue” as one of the original four colorways. In contrast to the 2012 edition, the upcoming 2024 retro release will faithfully replicate the original specifications, featuring the coveted “Nike Air” branding for an authentic ’89 look.
The Air Jordan 4 showcases a timeless color scheme consisting of Off-White, Military Blue, and Neutral Grey. Its upper is crafted from Off-White leather with overlays in Neutral Grey adorning the toe area. The design is elevated by Military Blue accents on the eyelets, midsole, heel tabs, and Jumpman logos on the tongues. Adding to the authenticity, the heels bear “Nike Air” branding in White, while a White, Blue, and Grey rubber outsole completes the overall aesthetic. Notably, the Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue” will be available in various sizes to cater to different shoe enthusiasts.
