    Those roads are amazing! Thanks for the tour! Lol
    This must be one of the best put together videos to hear what the spoon N1 sounds like, thanks Ray.

      +Sean Neal No problem Sean! It's always good to let people know what it sounds like in different driving situations. :)

      +Ray DM I just installed it and went for a drive. It isn't as loud as I expected! Not much drone so I am pretty impressed. Sound is solid and definitely much lighter than my old HKS dual...revs faster and more low end torque.

    Sounds cool! I love Spoon N1 exhaust note. I want to buy N1 exhaust system in the future.

      You won't be dissapointed I think, I still love it till this day! Best exhaust I ever bought for a car. :)

    It looks like I 'm fighting the steering wheel but I really am not tbh. It might seem that way because I use 2 hands when I'm driving fast. I was taught to always keep 2 hands on the steering wheel when driving fast. When I drive normal I always use one hand because it still steers quite light. And no, I didn't take it out. ;)

      Hahaha yeah looked kinda spastic there, but I like to stick to the road rules when I can. Keep other roed users safe. xD

    • @Wistuba17
      @Wistuba17 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ray DM Some people can't even use them when their going half your speed! Gives the police one less reason to pull you too aha

    • @raydm4015
      @raydm4015  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tnx I got fast fingers I guess hah! Yes and some people don't even use them at all, which really annoys me. I've owned this car for 2 years now, but I haven't yet been pulled over. My use of indicators when driving fast could be it haha.

    • @Wistuba17
      @Wistuba17 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ray DM I guess it helps haha! I just bought an EP3, thinking of getting a spoon N1 too so keeping my fingers crossed the police like it as much as I do

    • @raydm4015
      @raydm4015  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah nice! Well, my Spoon N1 isn't that loud at low rpm, but in VTEC you can really hear it from kilometers away! So you could get in trouble with this exhaust, but you have silencers for it. ;)

  • @raydm4015
    @raydm4015  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    All s2000 have power steering, but it still steers pretty heavy. That is the way I like it, because it gives you more feel of what car is doing. ;)

  • @SharkMate1012

    Good heel and toe technique! love the sound of the exhaust. Hope on buying an s2000 in the future.

    • @raydm4015
      @raydm4015  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tnx dude! This exhaust is still really addicting haha. Maybe even more then the J's exhaust I had on my EK. Nice! You won't be dissapointed with a S2000. ;)

    • @HellaFlush070
      @HellaFlush070 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ray DM Damn you also had an EK? Sweet man... how would you compare the two with street (ab)use :P

    • @raydm4015
      @raydm4015  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      HellaFlush070 Yes, I had a yellow EK. It had great corner handling, great brake feel and a good gearbox. It was just an awesome little car. The S2000 is a better car in every way. It has better steering inputs and it corners even harder than the EK. It has sufficient power and great brakes. The EK was much more forgiving though. The S2000 can be a handfull at the limit. Especially the early ones.

  • @raydm4015
    @raydm4015  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    No probs! Tnx man! The car sounds a little different right now. I took the ARC intake out and fitted a gold wrapped modded OEM intakebox with a 3,5" Blox Velocity stack. This setup is so much better performance wise. The ARC sucked up too much heat, which resulted in quite a loss in throttle response, torque and hp throughout the rev range.

    That driving at 30 seconds is on point. How you managed to blip a S2K into second and first without judder I will never know.

    • @raydm4015
      @raydm4015  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tnx man! It is a skill everyone can learn in a few weeks I think. When you brake with your toes, you give a little throttle at the same time with your heel and also at the same time you shift down. It is easier when you brake hard because the gaspedal will be higher up as the brakepedal. Making it easier to use your heel to press the throttle pedal.

  • @raydm4015
    @raydm4015  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tnx man! Heel toe ftw! Still working on it though. ;) Haha you better get one!

    Thanks for the vid, I like the sound and it doesn't seem to drone a lot. Is is too loud for trips? This is my main worry with this exhaust, I like it loud but I don't know if after 1 hour driving my ears will be hurting like hell. Thanks.

  • @chrisschlumpfphoto
    @chrisschlumpfphoto 11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    How is the exhaust just cruising on the highway, I've heard it can drone quite a lot?

    • @raydm4015
      @raydm4015  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no drone what so ever. I always cruise on the highway in the 4000 rpm range. There is only a little exhaust noise which isn't annoying.

    Lovely car, nice driving and looks like a nice place. Is it Germany or Netherlands. Reminds me of UK abit but I know it isnt here cause you're on wrong side of the road and everything is kph lol

    Is your car imported or...is that how Holland works with right hand drive on the right side of the road...I don't know, I'm confused, good video anyways

    Whats the rust like on these things? I've seen a few with rusty arches.

    • @raydm4015
      @raydm4015  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      JDM S2000 imports are always rustfree. Early UK S2000's are a little more rusty. But overal the S2000 doesn't have much rust on them usually.

  • @kojis456
    @kojis456 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes I'm aware of that, I'd never take my power steering out of my S. It looks like you're fighting the wheel quite a bit, characteristic of having no power steering, even while on such a smooth road. So you took it out correct?

    zo'n spoon uitlaat is dat luid tijdens het normaal rijden? want ik ben van plan om een spoon n1 catback te kopen maar ik vraag mij of of die luid is en schel in hoge toeren? zou het veel uitmaken als ik een rechte pijp doe vanaf mijn bocht tot het spruitstuk?! :)

    • @raydm4015
      @raydm4015  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Op mijn s2000 vind ik het geluid bij normaal rijden best goed te doen. Maarja ik heb ook straightpipe gereden, dus ik ben wel wat gewent. :P In de ochtend als ik vroeg weg rij hebben mijn buren iig er geen last van. Dus dat zegt al heel wat. Qua geluid is het op lage toeren een lichte brom zoals je hoort op de vid, zodra de Vtec in slaat veranderd dat geluid meer in een hoger en race achtig geluid zeg maar. :) Of een rechte pijp wat zou uitmaken? Heb geen idee. Misschien iets, omdat de luchtstroming wat minder verstoord wordt.

    What suspension setup & tires are you running?

    • @raydm4015
      @raydm4015  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have BC coilovers and Falken Azenis FK453 tires. The wheels are Volk Racing SE37K's 17x9J all round. Front are 235/40 and rears are 245/40. The car also has a lower rear Spoon brace. Still need to do a lot more to the suspension.

      tan jason There's definetly a vtec sound on my car. It's just hard to capture on video. You can hear it best at 1:25 and 1:56. In reallife it's much louder.

    • @kevinh2209
      @kevinh2209 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +tan jason There is definitely vtec sound...Video (Sorry Ray) doesn't do the Spoon N1 justice! :)
