I took my ap2 out for a quick stroll, and when I came back, I was psyched on the car; as prior to taking it out, I was having thoughts on keeping it(nothing serious but as the saying goes "everything has a price"). Mostly stock, except for tires, J's racing oilfilter stopper and Mugen shift knob and for cruising on some turns at the outskirts of town, it handles fantastic even with the original suspension. Such a good car, so yeah I think I'll continue to own mine for the foreseeable future.

I connected the Walkman straight into my Canon M6 camera. It also has a minijack connection. I think I did it that way. It was some time ago.

Hi, I just bought one of these refurbished (DD30) and am trying to figure out if the behavior is normal. Could you help? When I play it without headphones plugged in, there is a quiet, regular churning sound that plays over and over, every half-second or so. It is accompanied by a regular vibration as well. Is this normal? Or should the sound and feel of it playing be a consistent sound and vibration? I can also hear this vibration sound through headphones at the beginning of the tape and between songs. Please let me know if this is normal. =)
You may need to look into a center gear repair. Those DD models were notorious for this issue. But once repaired, many more years again may be enjoyed.

The microphone seems a tad redundant considering you could just pause the music? Are you having a conversation or listening to music with headphones? Even for the 80's it's not a useful feature, if you actually need to have a conversation then just take your headphones off.
it's really similar to apple's transparency mode on their airpods which a lot of people find useful.

You must have had your player azimuth matched with the tape's. Sounds superb. I have one myself and I found the tone switch capable of matching well for the EQ between 120us ans 70us.
