All we have in Australia is TK Maxx and the selection there is piss poor compared to what you guys get, so I’m absolutely thrilled to sink into this little treat! Also can we discuss the solar panel that Nova has somehow fashioned into sunglasses?
If Home Sense is like Home Goods (TJX) in how they stock, things come in pre tagged with the price and info already and a department code. Holiday has it's own dept or shares a dept with gardening iirc and is meant to be shown in the front of the store. If stuff comes in marked with the dept number for bath or pets etc that's the dept it will be put in even if it's holiday themed so you really do have to look all over in those stores if you want to find everything. (Previously worked at one of these stores as a teen) I think the hunt is fun though and makes for a cute day out if you have a friend or partner.

I'm going to be an awful enviro-nerd but like, I was watching this thinking "christ that's a lot of single-use plastic" but actually as it goes on, you're talking really specifically about items you've already got, and clearly still expect to use, and you're looking at quality that can largely be used again - it's not thoughtless at all so this is a really commendable and responsible way of doing Halloween and I hope your attitude to re-using Halloween decorations yearly, rather like Christmas decorations, inspires others to do the same

TJMaxx, Marshall's, and HomeGoods are the gold standard in the US for finding decent themed home decor like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Halloween for not utterly ridiculous prices.
I can only wish I can celebrate Halloween here in our own house…u guys get really cool decor…we don’t necessarily celebrate Halloween but a more solemn All Saint’s Day and All Soul’s Day in which we usually visit our dead relatives, praying for their souls and doing a vigil in tents beside their gravestone/tomb…some stay like for 2 days/24 hours…yeah very solemn but sometimes great opportunities to see relatives who are from very far away…
Just so you know. You can make fake spider web’s using hot glue and hard styrofoam. Snap the piece of styrofoam in half (rough edges). Squeeze a good amount (three pumps) onto the inside break of the foam. Tap it together for a second, pulling it apart each tap. When you pull it apart it will make webs. Wrap it around decorations, anything. I’m a florist and I use this for floral pieces in Halloween.
I feel bad for you all. We have so much good Halloween stuff here. In the states, all the stores are stocked to the brim. And it gets better every year. Some of it's really expensive though but yeah, even like we have a dollar store. I guess you all call them pound shops. I think Burlington is my favorite store for Halloween stuff.
