You would be better off to buy new. Or rebuild or fill your self. Rebuilt door closers are a good idea if you have door closer that is no longer produced or discontinued. I would suggest looking on eBay for 4010 there are ton of people selling overstock LCN products and even knock offs! For the same price would you like new or a rebuilt product? FYI 4010 unit is a handed unit. Ty hope this helps!
The large plug bolt you need to heat it up or punch a dimple on one side and work it out with a punch. I have a video describing this technic. If thats the bolt you are referring to?
Yeah you can get a squeezy bottle and fill it most of the way up. Like a clear mustard bottle or something you can tell when all the bubbles are done then its mostly full make sure you tip it to try to work out any pockets of air.
Well I don't suggest being exposed to it for long periods of time I eventually quit the place I was working when I made this because of health reasons and the owners unwillingness to clean the place up. I eventually called the proper authority and quit.
Hello, I have LCN door closure the parallel arm is hitting the door and it’s putting pressure on the door. I tried to put the arm at a 45° angle but the problem is still there. Any suggestions, I’d appreciate it.
Sounds like your arm needs adjusted there are plenty of videos on it look up 4040xp installation and adjustments and there is a bunch on here explaining the armature.
Thank u bro
Very useful video
What kind of oil and where do I buy it
I have several of these 4010 closers making noise, like a squeaky door hinge. Would a rebuild help this problem?
