Zombies is the main reason i started watching youtube for the crazy story, so glad to see you covering this history of zombies and im here for all of it ❤
I'd suggest everyone to read Jesse Synder's dev blog post or find the podcast he appeared on briefly. Jason Blundell saying "we thought they looked like zombies and we thought we could try this etc" is completely disingenuous and corporate slob. Jesse was the one & only person who originally came up with the mode and was actually told to cease development on it at one point (probably by Blundell, who was a producer on WAW), having to secretly work late hours & weekends to get the mode into a playable test before final convincing the uppers to let him proceed. Even then, they still only had like a month or two to fully create Nacht, and there is way more to the story about how everyone chipped in and it's really worth learning about. They also didn't put it on the menus not because they though it would make for a better experience, but likely because the executives were insecure about the mode and didn't have complete faith in their developers so they wanted to push it off to the side just in case it failed. Then of course, it worked out and now Activision and the 3arc producers all wanted to act like they loved the idea from the start.
I remember going to my friends house I was 6 we played the campaign 2 player beat it and we got scared so badly by that nacht opening cutscene made us nearly pee our pants we still recall that memory to this day and he doesn’t even play games anymore we just fondly look back on that moment as one that solidified a great friendship and it’s a great memory to look back on and share a laugh. Also i remember people saying kino had a little girl that would chase you after round 50 or 100 or a hitler boss that had 10,000 health after round 75.
I love the zombies mode and it was the first ever community that made me interested into everything to do with the mode, the simplicity of the mode while also having complex undertones made it something which felt like an endless rabbit hole. Because of zombies and its interesting story mixed with good gameplay as well as having to figure un-answered problems is what led me to destiny and both games are some of the most important reasons i love video games. also would be really nice if you got mrroflwaffles in for a vid to explain the complex lore and how it made cod zombies great.
Dude, cod4. Still the best campaign in my opinion, thank you for the intro, “characters you knew not to get attached to” like damn, I never even realized that in all my play throughs. Each campaign has slowly lost this feeling I think and I think you reassured me why that campaign has always been my favorite
@@evanf1997 Giving you a free little phrase for those videos if you do make them, much how you say "Emotions are high, stakes are higher, and challenge a true pinnacle" in nearly every raid race video. "Time on the line, secrets to find, and the rounds slowly getting harder to survive."
I personally love the Blundergat from Mob of the Dead/Blood of the Dead and its upgraded variants. I know it's not an infinite damage weapon so there's a fall off, but its ornate design and the "one trigger pull to kill everything in front of you" feeling it gives you reminds me of Doom II and the Super Shotgun. Just being able to blast away enemies with one big blast of shotgun pellets always made me happy whenever I was playing
the origins of Zombies in CoD is what I'd like to watch! Recently I've seen footage of a canceled CoD game named Future Warfare on TH-cam, can you also cover that game?
its feels a little weird hearing your voice narrate something that isn't Destiny content. But it is cool to see you expand and grow. keep on keeping on
I remember the thing you shoot to start the Easter egg in deer reise being called the fly trap and apparently it was used by nazis to have ufos land in it?
If I’m not wrong, didn’t the Wunderwaffe only have that glitch in der riese? Liek it weirdly didn’t have it on shi no numa but had it only on der riese?
10:56 The real life origins of the ray gun isn’t a mystery and is incredibly easy to find. Max Porter, a treyarch dev, made the model for the gun in his free time. He and some members of the zombies team thought it was fitting for the mode and added it. Literally takes like 5 seconds of research to find this.
ZOMBIES 👏 CONTENT 👏
Let’s go!
YOOOOO MILOOOOOOOO
THE KING HATH SPOKEN
Hi dad
Based Milo
Evan went over our history in destiny and now he’s doing it for call of duty, I can’t describe the excitement I have on my face.

Good coms, I was watching this and thinking exactly this to myself. They hid the game mode because it was a big NO-NO to be doing.

Thank you for helping me relive the good times again I miss these older maps.
I really love that you’re covering other games. I’m a huge Destiny fan but also a huge Zombies fan so this is perfect for me!
Ya know if Evan was REALLY a cool guy he would reply to this message.
I wanna be cool!
@@evanf1997 ok man, I’ll admit. You’re pretty cool 😎
I hope they see this and get some of that old inspiration back.
Just caught up on this series today, thank you for the burst of nostalgia! Definitely deserved a sub to stay updated on your new videos!

Elena seigman also did some work singing for Harmonix for the first 2 guitar hero’s when they were making covers of songs
She randomly appears in behind the scenes videos in the game

Can't wait for the Raid Race style videos for the zombies easter eggs to see who could complete it first. I know those exist.

I remember the thing you shoot to start the Easter egg in deer reise being called the fly trap and apparently it was used by nazis to have ufos land in it?

I also remember it oh my days 😂
Holy shit! The one where they look behind the teleporter where the catwalk is?? I forgot about that 😭
Last lunch table myths? Maybe for kids with internet, most kids still didnt get to play online so i heard of myths like these as late as halo reach.
Milo approves, I'm watching
Are you going to reupload all the Bo1 Easter egg videos too?
Scavenger is my favorite WW ever
If I’m not wrong, didn’t the Wunderwaffe only have that glitch in der riese? Liek it weirdly didn’t have it on shi no numa but had it only on der riese?
The first Easter egg in waw was the toilet arms in one level of campaign only.
7:27 where is this video from?
not to nitpick but the ray gun is in WAW campaign- via the side easter egg most of us uncs remember: wasnt technically first in nacht
My favorite is the wavegun for Moon. Also, I don't think he hung himself. I believe in the lore richtone did it
You mean Richthofen
@@joelherriman5943 yes
12:51 SLurPMyButt lmao
Ray gun vid please and I’ll sub
Cod World at war Veteran Grenade Spam for Days 😂😂😂
technically flame thrower is the first zombies perk
Idk why it upsets me but nobody knows that the little resistance raygun is not in the vanilla game it was added in an update
How has nobody else tried it on an un updated copy
can anyone help me figure out who the streamer was at 18:03?
Is that Skarow9 at 5:47 or am I tripping? Sounds just like his ass 😂
If u were wondering what was the radio sing on nacht it's called WTF and no I'm not joking
Sad you dont know the difference between ultimus and primus. Primus came first and was rescued by the ultimus crew.
Ray Gun, Ray Gunn,...RayGunn?
I don't think Peter hung himself. Pretty sure his parachute suffocated him cause he couldn't cut himself free . Don't remember 100% though
How many ogs are here?

What's with all the blundell quotes. Videos not even worth watching..
Not to be *that guy* but Nacht Der Untoten means "Night of the Undead" not "living dead" very easy mistake though!
