  • The Grappler range represents the next evolution of this highly popular offshore jigging and casting series.
Now featuring both Spiral X and Hi-Power blank construction. The rods have been tested in the harshest of offshore environments around the world, resulting in a line-up that is capable of grappling with the strongest of ocean predators. Available in a Type J (Jigging) and Type C (Casting) models.

what rod from the grappler range would you recconsnd for targeting smallish kings off the rocks around vic. i was thinking s80m or s80mh seeing as i don't expect any monsters paired w a 10000 saragossa and 50lb braid

For the rocks, I'd probably suggest the S80M if you're set on a Grappler. Being PE4, it'll back some punch and you'll still be able to throw lures up to 90g.
Ideally if you're fishing off the rocks a lot, I'd suggest even looking at the Coltsniper BB S100H. The 10ft rod will help you cast further, give you more rod to fight with and extra leverage around the rocks and the extra length will help you cast further too!

@@ShimanoAustralia i feel like the colt sniper will not give me much extra cast distance. i also feel like pe4 would be a little light especially if i manage to hook a 10kg+ king and have to get it up from the reef
