My favorite character in Warcraft is Kael. I never got into DOTA because it felt too difficult for me (and dark, my blind ass couldn't keep up) but the only characters I would use if ever is Invoker, who used Kael as the placeholder. (I also used the dwarf sometimes but that's unrelated) so I'm really happy that league has finally made their version of Invoker. Through 2 layers of mental gymnastics, I get to play my favorite Warcraft character!
Hwei basically like popping an enhancement for ur ability which is within your control unlike a aphelios that automatically change when there are no more bullets
1:06 Tbf, unlike Aphelios whose kit design was unique to him, Hwei's kit design could be used for other champions. In other words, future champions could also use the "Sub-spells" model and make perfect sense. To have another champion make sense with Aphelios' design, they'd need to use rotating spells as a passive…
2:20 So you can't chain spells like with Invoker? Meh, that's one of the most interesting aspects of him: inputting spells in the optimal order to quicken casting.
Is it wrong that I'm thinking of Flapjack when I look at this new hero? "You think you're red-dy for my rhymes? You'll soon be green as envious limes. I see you're not yellow, fellow, but I don't want to make you BLUE! So get a CLUE and purple the plug before you're plaid, or I'LL ORANGE A RAINBOW ON YOUR PARADE!!!"
I also think its no coincidence that he is constantly fighting Zed and Syndra, and once Kayn in his trailer. Maybe he is an important part of the comic, that will be continued now.
If a demon of despair is involved, I imagine it's the second most aggressive one, behind Fiddlesticks. The other demons at least have to pretend to be something positive in order to perform their actions, except perhaps Nocturn, but despair is all about hopelessness, which involves the removal of connections, isolation, and the feeling of being unable to do anything.
The trailer itself has a few Darkin champions highlighted. The barren area by the Ghetu Sea is also home to the Temple of Pallas, origin of our current form of Mr. Demonpants himself, Varus. So more connection to Darkin! I doubt Hwei's demon is Darkin itself, but it has some possible and cool implications. Combine that with the possibility of Void corruption too... ... I just think he's neat. :]
Ngl I love the 9 abilities thing. I was designing a champ with a similar idea, cept 16 abilities. Q was infernal W was Ocean E was Mountain R was Cloud. You would do the same little gimmick he has and press 2 buttons to cast 1 spell. I, don't remember all of the spells off my head and they're on a bricked phone though. I was designing it as an ixtali mage though mastering the elements
A champion expressing his feelings of sadness and contemplation, unironacally, thats my champion, THATS ME. Im so looking forward to simpathize with his feelings and be like "yes..."
So, a thought occurs to me. We have 10 demons, and Hewi has 10 abilities. We have classes of torment, serenity, and disaster, with the last one being in a league of its own. Note that we only have 2 of the Ten demon lords known, fear and joy(fear being obvious, the eq, and joy being wq). The other abilities are extremely evocitive, what with the crushing maw, the earth rent asunder, and crushing sorrow, but we cant know if this will pan out until we know what the other 10 lords are. Alternatively, the schools are 3 of the 10, fiddle being torment and Akslash being serenity, and the sub abilities refrence full demons(nocturn for eq, Raum for Ew, Tahm for EE), but, again, not enough info on demons to know
I just realized that a lot of champions have: Q spell: usually the one that does most damage W spell: usually the one that heals/shields or offers more utility E spell: usually something that either gives you more mobility or takes it away Example: Sona Q is damage, W is heal, E is speed for allies and slow for enemies (passive) Mordekaiser: Q is damage, W is shield, E is a grab/slow Twisted's W: Red card (the first) is the aoe damage, Blue card (the second) gives you mana, Gold card (third) stuns etc etc etc So Hwei's spells being organized with Q being the damage spells, W being the utility spells and E being the control spells kinda makes sense
Kinda looks like he will be very good at gluing the team comp together. Adds more damage to help to carries, more cc to help the tanks, and more enchantments to help the supports.
I think for me it's easy to keep a mental note of the skills since I just relate it with art since it's my source of Income Q = Warm Colors = Damaging W = Cool Colors = Aiding E = Complimentary Colors = CC and if I don't wanna use that color for now I can just Crtl + Z which is R Other than that- I fucking had a gut feeling that the orb he has on his torso felt similar to the one Nylla carries around for Joy
Man with aphelios you can atleast see what he could do based on the weapons hes carrying, but here he has just 10 possible abilities with no way to tell what he is about to do

Kinda disappointed he doesn't have 27 spells like the original Invoker but like understandable lmao.
Red, yellow, blue are the 3 primary colors. It’s nice reference to traditional color theory that his abilities are in threes.
"See this circle behind him? It's almost like a Rubber Ross"
Say what now??? Ohhh Ouroboros. Lmao.
5:40 Jhin killing them all would make sense as it shows 4 masters.
Hwei seems to be an interesting Champion. His love really peeks my interest. Especially the Jhinn reference.
There’s definitely a theme going with the Ur-Demons having three arms...
9:43 This actually sounds spot on, if it isn't his lore it should be.
2:20 So you can't chain spells like with Invoker? Meh, that's one of the most interesting aspects of him: inputting spells in the optimal order to quicken casting.
god you need a manual if you're going to fight against him
Well after 2 or 3 years. Necrit you finally got your void event and now the void has taken over the rift
the starting of the trailer just to pause 2 seconds it killed me lmfao
Invoker trial version has arrived.
I feel like the sea urchin from Surf’s Up “…Broken, Broken, Broken!…”
Is it wrong that I'm thinking of Flapjack when I look at this new hero?
"You think you're red-dy for my rhymes? You'll soon be green as envious limes. I see you're not yellow, fellow, but I don't want to make you BLUE! So get a CLUE and purple the plug before you're plaid, or I'LL ORANGE A RAINBOW ON YOUR PARADE!!!"
I also think its no coincidence that he is constantly fighting Zed and Syndra, and once Kayn in his trailer. Maybe he is an important part of the comic, that will be continued now.
11 minutes of Necrit throwing lore theories wilder and harder than a one piece fan. I love that.
That 5:09 jump scare tho
I wasn’t expecting danganronpa lore thank you necrit
necrits obsession about the void event is a bitt crazy but im here for it xD
Holy shit that's the idea I had for a possible sona remake XD You would have to combine the abilities so her kit felt more like playing an instrument
Cant wait to play him in Support, Hes really cool
Ngl I love the 9 abilities thing. I was designing a champ with a similar idea, cept 16 abilities.
Q was infernal W was Ocean E was Mountain R was Cloud. You would do the same little gimmick he has and press 2 buttons to cast 1 spell. I, don't remember all of the spells off my head and they're on a bricked phone though. I was designing it as an ixtali mage though mastering the elements
they did a good job making sure that qq ww ee is going to best generic option for people who panic a lot that is so kind of them
A champion expressing his feelings of sadness and contemplation, unironacally, thats my champion, THATS ME. Im so looking forward to simpathize with his feelings and be like "yes..."
Riot, you got my love. Sadness and joy, life and death, good and evil, you hit my heart.
Riot: a thousand dashes and blinks or a million abilities
the destroyed landscape also looks like a LOTUS TRAP
So, a thought occurs to me.
We have 10 demons, and Hewi has 10 abilities.
We have classes of torment, serenity, and disaster, with the last one being in a league of its own.
Note that we only have 2 of the Ten demon lords known, fear and joy(fear being obvious, the eq, and joy being wq). The other abilities are extremely evocitive, what with the crushing maw, the earth rent asunder, and crushing sorrow, but we cant know if this will pan out until we know what the other 10 lords are.
Alternatively, the schools are 3 of the 10, fiddle being torment and Akslash being serenity, and the sub abilities refrence full demons(nocturn for eq, Raum for Ew, Tahm for EE), but, again, not enough info on demons to know
Also there are exactly FOUR mentors in the back at the beginning, definetly implying that jhin killed them all
The splashart is stunning.
I just realized that a lot of champions have:
Q spell: usually the one that does most damage
W spell: usually the one that heals/shields or offers more utility
E spell: usually something that either gives you more mobility or takes it away
Example: Sona Q is damage, W is heal, E is speed for allies and slow for enemies (passive)
Mordekaiser: Q is damage, W is shield, E is a grab/slow
Twisted's W: Red card (the first) is the aoe damage, Blue card (the second) gives you mana, Gold card (third) stuns
etc etc etc
So Hwei's spells being organized with Q being the damage spells, W being the utility spells and E being the control spells kinda makes sense
Unfortunately doesn't seem there is a void event planned for next year, at least not at the moment.
OWH ITS LIKE INVOKER!!! IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
7:17 En serio existe una parte de Jonia llamada Tula??? Shdhsfhdjsjfaksj 😂😂😂😂😂
So Riot are finally releasing their own version of Invoker from DotA... that's very nice
"The Void event is coming!"
-Necrit 2022
😂😂😂
Kinda looks like he will be very good at gluing the team comp together. Adds more damage to help to carries, more cc to help the tanks, and more enchantments to help the supports.
the disaster is in the shape of jhins trap with the sun too.... jesus
On a classic Num pad Jhin makes a 4.
If you type Hwei it makes a Triangle. Further supporting the 3 theory.
I think for me it's easy to keep a mental note of the skills since I just relate it with art since it's my source of Income
Q = Warm Colors = Damaging
W = Cool Colors = Aiding
E = Complimentary Colors = CC
and if I don't wanna use that color for now I can just Crtl + Z which is R
Other than that- I fucking had a gut feeling that the orb he has on his torso felt similar to the one Nylla carries around for Joy
holy some of your videos i question but most of them turn out to be so good good job
i came for the void video stayed for the champ vid and will continue staying for the void vid lol
Man with aphelios you can atleast see what he could do based on the weapons hes carrying, but here he has just 10 possible abilities with no way to tell what he is about to do
@@theveganduolingobird7349Even worse, he can just press R afterwards to cancel and confuse you even more
10:38 It looks like Jhins e but very very upscaled
Riot confirmed in 2024 gameplay preview that in 2024 there is not gonna be void event.
so nice of tencent to mention their little brother huawei in their game
*Hwei Exists*
