i love videos like this, new players through grasp is always entertaining and kris fitting into the destiny community immediately is great, seems like he should be a titan
@@MekaniQ yeah i just think it’s funny that they went “kill stadia and then immediately start advertising cloud gaming on our laptops on other company’s services”
Love this video; crazy to think that a good majority of people playing Destiny may still be in this learning spot or have never moved passed it. While the people watching this video probably know the one dps phase for every boss in the game
I did something like this with some people from a discord community... We were one person short for VOG, so while we were chilling in tower we saw a newlight and decided to "kidnap" him.. we carried him through the raid while teaching all the mechanics and telling him some lore. He didn't get vex, but it was a great time and he had loads of fun
Nice vid. I’ve seen plenty of people “help” new people who don’t have much Destiny experience just hate on them and make them the butt of jokes. But this looked fun. Letting him do as he wants and letting him have fun with the added challenge of trying to keep him alive 😂 Dungeon was peek content
@@markmurex6559 no. But I'd be intrigued to hear your opinion. Because Prophecy has too much platforming in hard a hard to see space. Not to mention all the Taken Ogres that will fuck newbies. Pit of Heresy is pretty confusing with a lot of hidden mechanics. Prophecy is requires you to pay attention to a lot of things all at once that can be overwhelming for newbies, plus a lot of phases to keep track of. Duality is not beginner friendly. Spire of the Watcher is too new for me to properly comment on if it would be good to bring a new player into
@@gareththerrien3473 ST is probably the worst for new players, I definitely agree. I also think Pit is too easy to get lost in (both room 1 and Harrows). But I actually think Prophecy is better than GoA because the gambit mechanic is simplified and obvious in the intro room, Phalanx Echo reinforces it and is essentially a simpler form of Kell. Rainbow Road is the only platforming, and is not nearly as frustrating as the sparrow run or trap hallway from GoA. Cube is probably the only difficult part of Prophecy but it's also lightyears more fun than cannonballs. That all said, I do believe Spire is the best. Cabling wasn't as obvious as bells/gambit/riches, but was better than "hello and welcome to pitch-black platforming hell" and honestly the mechanic barely evolves between the intro room and the boss. The platforming isn't too hard and the enemies wouldn't be too difficult if it wasn't early in the season and thus a low LL expectation. I generally enjoy running people through Pit because it has a nice variance in mechanics and Altar acts as a nice challenge to warm new lights up, but honestly Spire may be my new way of helping people learn mid-level content.
@@tylerhamelin48 I love all the dungeons, but I'm far from a noob. I just think the theme of GoA (Indiana Jones traps) is very fun to discover and play through. The part about Prophecy I was criticising was the light vs dark indicator on your screen as it's very feint.
Thing about not expecting him to like the auto-aiming knife is, when I first started a Hunter in D1 beta the throwing knife was what made me fall in love with the class. Loyal Hunter ever since.
This is such a hype idea Edit: this would involve an insane amount of prep time, but giving the guest a pre-grinded account do they could have access to the stuff that makes Destiny fun could be interesting.
I have been using Geforce Now since season of worthy, would highly recommend it for anyone that does not have the hardware to run the game. I switched to PC with shadowkeep's crosssave but my laptop just could not run the game. been playing with it ever since I discovered, Again ,highly recommend it.

To ad to the line of thinking near the beginning of the video “Why shoot gun when grenade do better.”-my irl friend that plays Titan Also kinda sad that whisper wasn’t shown off and Datto saying that an Alaskan bull worm was in the barret .50 caliber sniper
Kris already hates the game but continues playing. He truly is one of us.
This video format has potential. I’m personally waiting for the “learn one hour of medicine, then we do heart surgery” videos to begin
Learn about the basics of biological warfare, then you know what to do
learn one minute of law then defend heisenberg
Learn one hour of structural integrity , then we build a skyscraper
Learn one hour of nuclear engineering, then we run a nuclear reactor
Medic TF2 be like
Datto to mr fruit: “I see your challenge series and raise you an end game optimal video”
Watching streamers take new lights through Grasp and letting them step on every single trap will never, ever get old.
Running the unwitting through the gauntlet of grasp of avarice traps, classic. 10/10.
i love videos like this, new players through grasp is always entertaining and kris fitting into the destiny community immediately is great, seems like he should be a titan
I thought it was an hour long video of datto teaching veterans how to play the game then he does a dungeon out of nowhere…
"Why would I ever shoot anything?" oh god this resonates so bad it hurts
Kris is the hero that the destiny community needs, but not the one we deserve
Dungeons are the best way to introduce new players to the game. Assuming that they are GAMERS
Ive also never once seen the stair way barrel push someone and not instantly kill. Made it that more funny! 😂
I wanted to see him go through the rest of the dungeon but he did look like he wanted to tap out and continuing further would have been torture lol.
Y’all should do more videos together. This guy is hilarious
Banger video. This was something I didn't realize I wanted, and now I want more of it.
it’s so funny that google is advertising cloud gaming without stadia
Well stadia is dead I guess, pretty sure this is why they aren't promoting it
@@MekaniQ yeah i just think it’s funny that they went “kill stadia and then immediately start advertising cloud gaming on our laptops on other company’s services”

@@foxjade8924 what's wrong?

I don’t care how many times I’ve run that dungeon I will always enjoy a new light running through for the first time
The Crucible KD line had me ROLLING 💀
“World after boom boom” is 1,000% a line I expected to hear from Jez lol.
Mt thought exactly!
It starts at 7:37. I needed to send that timestamp to people. 🙂
Aztecross at the end of a season 10:33
13:44 "this game is traaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash"
ive never seen a more natural destiny player than this man
This was fun. Would watch again with similar format. Good way to add variety to the channel!
"glasses less datto isnt real, he cant hurt you"
glasses less datto:
3:17 Datto just casually dropping his sack onto the negotiating table and then saying suck it.
Class act, this is the datto the world needed.

This solidifies that GoA is the perfect intro dungeon.
Both this and Fallouts videos using it with newbies is great
That's a joke, right?

Out of all the Dungeons you picked the one that trolls first-timers the most
As an ad, this video was great. As a Datto video, this video was great.
A+ Good job.
This is legitimately one of the funniest things I've ever watched. Thank you Mr Trv.
Genuinely love watching new players play this game.
5:08 "If you're full ammo it won't let you pick up a brick" *looks down* "don't"
This was actually pretty fun good vid datto
This was a really good idea! Video was funny af xD
"don't stand in the fire"
Stands directly in the fire without moving.
You can tell it was a long time because Datto’s room was dark by the end of the boss
Man, if only Google had a cloud gaming service, then this would be the perfect sponsorship!
Wonder when they ever gonna come out with one...
Kris- “You’ve been doing this for 8 years?”
Datto- 😒
Never thought I'd see a Datto and KristoferYee collab, but here we are. What a time to be alive. Truly.
This I like, positive energy, in a rather (mostly), nowadays negative Destiny enviroment (community wise...). Good going Datto!!
Thing about not expecting him to like the auto-aiming knife is, when I first started a Hunter in D1 beta the throwing knife was what made me fall in love with the class. Loyal Hunter ever since.
Get this man a Glaive
Never would’ve expected these two to play together! Hell yeah!!
"that's the end of platforming, it's all combat from here" leaves out sparrowing lul
poor guy really needed a hug after that
This is huge , incredible Hollywood production
Took him through grasp? Oh Datto you beautiful bastard lol
Such a great colab. I thought the two of you had great comedic chemistry. GG
“This game is traaashhhh”…… that guy gets it.
Wow I'm gonna have to check out this ASUS Chromebook. Great video as always Datto!
Do you need help?
"Yes but dont tell anyone"
EVERYTHING IS GREAT 😂😂😂😂

I should have known this was the dungeon you had in mind. Excellent.
"I can be in a world after boom boom" Ahh.. the birth of a new titan.
7:22 plus is ABSOLUTE GOLD
Love Datto channeling his inner Jez withe the «just didn’t answer» when the sponsor asks questions lmao
"That's how half the Crucible thinks" had me dyin'
"Why would I ever shoot anything??"
You've found a new Titan, I see...
God love getting people on the spikes, never gets old
this video even though it was an ad was genuienly enjoyable to watch
"Only half video" Kristoffer is a titan main without a doubt.. and a hammer titan too
This was great thanks Datto for the top tier entertainment tbh! 🔝💙
Great video. Hope you do more of them.
This was fun to watch!
This is a great idea and I love it
Nice ETB collection!
You just had to take him through the dungeon with all the traps 😂
Videos like this are the reason I say GOA is one of the best dungeons in the game 😂😂😂
Don’t worry Datto, I still need my Touch of Malice. 3 raids a week since launch, have the title. I know your pain
"Snake? SNAKE! SNAAAAAKKEEEEEEE"
9:48
That ending proves it, he's a destiny player
Datto: then i just didnt respond
Asus: TELL US WHAT YOU MEAN
this is the best collab ever
I love how Datto tells him "theres a spike trap" after hes dead..

Nice to see kristopher yee playing destiny. His channel a tech channel and makes great videos.
the funny thing is everyone I try to introduce to this game has that same mindset of "I'm just gonna melee everything instead of shooting"
He's absolutely a natural Destiny player xD. Immediately hates Shaw Han and instinctively shoots rockets at his feet lol

You're a sadist for dragging that sweet new light through grasp an hour after being rezed
