In this case the well known fact that the two major US parties essentially gradually switched positions over several decades - Republicans in the time of Lincoln (and for a while after) were the more progressive ones; Democrats were the conservative ones. But hey, reality doesn't suit their narrative, so it must be discarded, right?

Everyone, please note the Phantom attaches a knife to the slide trombone before he kills the girl. Really, a knife.

Random question, but how long would it really take to kill someone with the sliding part of a trombone? Personally I think it would be easier to use it as a blunt weapon, but whatever.

If you tuned into an airing of this movie on TV while channel surfing and missed the opening or ending AND had the sound turned off, you'd probably assume it was a really creepy and bizarre episode of The Andy Griffith Show where a killer is on the loose and the Mayberry PD is (trying to be) on the case.
