It was a F#5 but when the backing singers echo-ed they sang a F5 which made Bey's note sound sharper than it was - though it was sharp at a very small part of it and seemed to peak towards a G5 but I'd count it as an F#5. Bey don't need to hit high notes to slay ;)
Ashley Aguilera The note was clearly intended to be an F#5. It peaked at G5 but she obviously didn't intend to hit a G as it would be DISCORDANT with the music.
Slaychelle Well clearly it's not about what it was intended. It's about what was emitted, and that was a G5. End of discussion. If you bring a keyboard and hit an F#5, you will find it lower than the one here.
She clearly hit an F#5 first which then peaks at a G5. She didn't just hit a straight G5. Also, I really don't care that much about this. Maybe you should focus your attention on devising a plan that will help your dear fave Xtina "emit" such notes again - or come close for that matter.
That's no need for a mezzo to hit g5, even a eb5 would be fine... It seems that she could belt higher, but there's no need at all, it's better to leave these notes to a soprano.
ccishot564 I'm just being honest, she's a good vocalist, and being a mezzo-soprano with a lyric voice, there's no need for her to go higher than the F passagio with belting. Mariah rarely goes higher than her passagio at G, so did Whitney.
drigao16 well i agree to a certain extent but Beyonce rarely goes above F and it has benefited her by preserve her voice, but there's nothing wrong with demonstrating your range.
I thought it was an F#5 at first but it's one note higher than the F#5's from the other WDYLM performances. It's just something to report if people want to add it to her range in their videos. I myself am going to make a vocal range for her for this year.
Sounds like the usual F#5 to me (she's been doing this lately). And if it very briefly peaks at G5, it definitely wasn't anything to write home about. She's in excellent vocal shape though.
ccishot564 That didn't answer my question. Also, I do not think you understand what the word belt means. She defiantly did not belt a G5 in this video...
+Bey Xtina Minaj A Belt means that the note is sung with a chesty or even Mix.Mix is basically everything above F#4(for woman).Chesty, even or heady. (Sorry for my bad English)
This is INDEED a G5. Perfectly on pitch too. Not an inch flat or sharp.
@@k_levande Who cares? She ad libbed some shit up snatching all wigs from our heads
She normally goes to an F#5, but this was 100% a G5, she went a bit to high
She did it like it was nothing !! Love the "4" era vocally she improved a lot from B'day and I am eras
i can hear the G5 here idk what other people are talking about
Well it needs to be noted because she hasn't belt a live G5 since god knows when. People need to know that she's still a vocal powerhouse.

That's wrong. It's a G5. Bring a keyboard and hit F#5 it's flat to this note.

Slaychelle I don't know what Xtina has to do with this but my fav is also Mariah Carey who hits a G7! You tried :)
It's really good imo, it sounded so easy!

Thats.... kind of ignorant...

ccishot564 I'm not saying that is a bad thing, just that she doesn't need it :p
drigao16 So funny that Mariah never hit a G#5 live but she hit like 1000 G#5s in the studio

Caraca nao paro de ver esse video

she sure hits a F#5 first, maybe then it peaks at G5, but it's so briefly that I wouldn't even bother including it in a video :D
Man that was unexpected for the Mamas, they couldn't hit it.
Lol, shade but true.
Since WIO in 2004 :)
YAAZZZ BEY
It's actually G#5
It was a sharp F#5 so it peaked to G5, and it was kinda bad too 😅
valerio siciliano how was it bad
valerio siciliano you don’t even know how to sing so who tf are you to even talk about the queen
An Xtina fan I have to fucking laugh
Wasn't their a G#5 in one of the performances...
So where was the belt at?
Keep coming for Bey on my videos and you will be dragged mercilessly
ccishot564 That didn't answer my question. Also, I do not think you understand what the word belt means. She defiantly did not belt a G5 in this video...
Aaron M If you know she didn't belt then why the fuck are you asking? :)
ccishot564 Well just confirming that you falsely titled this video..
You're trying to piss me off.
Where was she performing ?
in america I guess.
Cheer Girl why don’t you love me Brisbane
eh. agree with other commenters. Great overall, G5 itself was nothing great though
lol too sharp
Easy
Not really a "belt"
Yeah cause she didn't sustain it. A belt really just means a sustained note. She basically just hit it in chest/ mixed register.
+Bey Xtina Minaj A Belt means that the note is sung with a chesty or even Mix.Mix is basically everything above F#4(for woman).Chesty, even or heady.
(Sorry for my bad English)
Okay Fidan
No that just means a high note sung in chest or mixed voice. Belting is the ability to sustain it
+Bey Xtina Minaj a high Note can't be sung with pure chest.
Okay Fidan
I meant it as in a chesty way I know its quite impossible to sing dominantly in the chest register while going high
the overall vocal was dope, the G5 wasn't impressive.
