I did my nails while watching this video, seriously I could watch you do nails forever and not get bored. Also you have such an eye for nail polish!! I always tend for clear polish but seeing you wearing pink kinda made me want to try it and give it a chance!!
love hearing that 😄 and thank you! it really is just years of trial and error with so many different nail polishes and taking note of what makes them better or worse. I hope you give pale pink a try, it goes perfectly with all complexions, to me it's a great "neutral" everyday shade!
you and alb (albinwhisperland) have the most beautiful nails! i can't keep my nails long so i love watching your nail videos and living vicariously through you two 💕
Thank you for an update of your manicure routine, Sofie! Would be great to see your everyday makeup and skin care routines as well. And I would be happy to see your favourite recipes, especially for the holiday season - it's so enjoyable to watch you cooking. Love your aesthetics, so calming and effortlessly classy ♡
Hey, queen! Girl, you have done it again. Constantly raising the bar for us all and doing it flawlessly. I'd say I'm surprised, but I know who you are. I've seen it up close and personal. Girl, you make me so proud, and I love you.
I'm also transitioning from gel nails. I had to redo my nails every two weeks and it took ages to file/soak. I'd rather do a quick wipe and reapply every week. My only problem with traditional polish is it dries very slow on me if I use more than one coat, up to 2 hrs. So i look for more opaque one-coat polishes 🤷♀️
Your videos are so calming and so pleasing☺️ I just love how they’re always so colour coordinated and never out of place. You could rewatch any vids like vlogs or beauty/fashion and never get bored💘 Thank you so much for the content you put out💖💖💖
I just found you through a feed rec for your other nail video from 6 years ago and I'm so happy I did! So far I've only watched your nail videos lol but I just subscribed. I'm also really into keeping my nails nicely shaped and manicured at home - I find it really calming and relaxing, and am actually doing my nails currently with your videos on in the back :)
Hallelujah started playing in my head when I saw this thumbnail lol, because I've been rewatching your "all about my nails" video way too many times😂 you have the best nail routine, because after following yours, I get a lot of compliments on my nails 😋❤
@@themilkclub thank you for replying! 😙I'd love if you made a video if you ever change your go-to shape to something else, so kind of like a tutorial, and if you find a good cruelty free top coat too 😀❤
thanks for the rec!! I checked them out online and even realised I know someone who lives near their store/HQ in Robina QLD, so they're gonna pick some up for me :)
THE MILK CLUB I hope it'll work out for you! I do find it pretty glossy and long lasting. At the very least, I'm sure you won't find it any worse than the sèche vite one haha... Have a nice day! :)
i'm actively trying to grow my nails for the first time ever and i find they get to a certain length and then snap off😭how do you get your nails to stay strong?
while things like diet and lifestyle do have an influence on nail strength, it's genetics that is the main factor. I've always had quite strong nails, that being said I've had my fair share of breakages when I kept my nails A LOT longer! regardless of how strong your nails are, once they get to a certain length, it's impossible to completely avoid breakages, but at the length I keep them in this video, I never get them anymore. I've also learned how to protect my nails by being mindful of how I use my hands, such as not rushing things, not opening cans with my fingernails, etc. and keeping polish on your nails consistently helps protect them and keep them strong :)
Keep your hands hydrated with creams, use jojoba oil once a day on nailbeds and under nail. If you get your hands wet too often, always gently dry them and apply jojoba or in case of emergency a hand cream. Wear a very thick top coat of transparent nailpolish, redo it at least once a week. Keep a small, very soft nail file with you, like on a keychain or something. Grew my nails for a first time and with this method, none have snapped so far, got on 6-8mm already. Except being vegetarian, I'm on no other diet. If one breaks, you can always fix it with a simple tea bag trick (there are videos on youtube about details).
@@themilkclub Haha I'm glad you can relate. I've seen other artists use utility gloves while they paint and I'm tempted to try that after getting paint stuck under my nails, but it feels weird having that barrier. As if my senses are being muffled.
Omg I LOVE ur nails. Our nails are very similar except I only do gel lol because I only have time to do my nails once or twice a month these days and I CANT stand a chip...loveeeee ur nails so pretty 💕
Hi Sofie, your hands are lovely and you're blessed to have long fingers. Have you tried for ease of use the Nailsinc polish remover pots? They are very speedy and convenient. Designer Brand also have them. Cheers Linda ☺⚘
I love your nail videos! I'm glad you did an updated one! So I'm wondering, you don't do anything to your cuticles? Do you think it's something necessary to do?
To be honest i really love your nails and as always it makes me wanna go and do my own but im at the progress of getting them in healthy mode so nw it's short time for them until they recover from the mistake that i did which was filling the nail bed love u💙💙
Wow, I finally realized why my top coat makes weird ridges like that after it dries! Going to be trying to leave a larger sliver of nail for the top coat from now on ✨✨✨
I love your nail videos so much, every time I can learn something new haha! I'm so happy you included all of your favourite nail polishes, they look amazing! 💕 My fav and the only pink I use is by a polish brand called Pierre Rene, which is cruelty free and vegan! It's not the perfect pale pink shade but it's the best I could find..

Just regular nail polisher remover that has acetone in it! I've used pure acetone to remove gel polish and then another couple of times when I ran out of my regular remover and it is significantly harsher on your nails.

I've never tried a glass file. Why do you like them? Every time I was about to buy one, they recommended me more "gentle" ones. Nail colour is very pretty and I just entered the giveaway. Thanks!
Glass or crystal files are really smooth and more gentle on the nail, while still being highly effective at filing.
