- Home gig #39, July 4 2020. This is a fun little ditty with a standard blues progression, and I've included an extra repeat for improvisation. The composer was not fond of it (his official comment is "blah") but I think the whimsicality is quite appropriate for a pro-wrestling game! I enjoyed playing this against my friends back in the day.
NOTE: The eye patch created an interesting challenge. Memorization was critical, and extra concentration was needed to accurately play notes on the right side! (patch on right eye).
Composer: Neil Brennan 1985

Every so often and for no reason what so ever this tune occasionally pops up in my head. I can even hear that screechy 1-2-3
How do you even describe that sound "Woh!" "BocH!" "Woof!"?
Excellent performance ❤
Wow! You are amazingly proficient. You did the game justice.
You definitely deserve much many more views!
Great way to remember a fun old game ... love it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Well heck, this certainly started a great wrestling & retro game discussion in our community chat :)
Great performance and your costumes are the best. Glad to see the gameplay video too, it was a great game. Thanks for this and all your other videos!
Great work @Paul. I do like that you also dress for your performances
Great playing, Paul. It's so long ago I barely remember writing this one. Cheers, Neil
Thanks! Maybe I can do one you remember writing :) How about Exploding Fist and the sequel?
@@RetroPianoGuy that would be a real delight. I'd love to see what you do with them! My personal favourites were the Usagi Yojimbo and Judge Dredd pieces, but I'm sure that anything you pick will be amazing.
Usagi Yojimbo please!!!!
@@RetroPianoGuy Fist II music please!
Lmao, great game, great music, well done!
O wow, this brings back memories. Great job!
I was like #69. YES! >>>>>>>>
I've no idea how this ended up on my TH-cam feed, but it was a great rendition; the improvisation before the last coda was inspired. 🥳
Neil Brennan gets a little overlooked, but he did some good c64 soundtracks, including Starion (game wasn't great) & the hilarious Street Hassle. Starion had a Flight Of The Valkyries flavour, if i remember correctly.
you ate awsome
One of my all-time favourite C64 games! The C64 tune is repetitive but fun, and I still like it in short doses anyway. Great job on your cover, and the extra improv section was especially welcome.
It's my favorite C64 game as well. Definitely the best wrestling game on the C64!
This game pissed me off so bad. I couldn't do anything but get my ass kicked. Great playing though dude.
OMG
I think I know you...just found this! ;-)
Hi Ardith! Yep I did a whole bunch of these last year :)
Ragtime does fit wrestling more than it does Ghost n Goblins! So glad you played the C64 version of GnG because it is operatic for the goth game. I played this wrestling game with friends in the 80s and we loved it because it made us laugh. I love all the costumes.
lol
Actually, what kind of strange style of music to put on a wrestling game. :) but its back from the days when game houses hired "real" musicians, to deliver
It was a weird brief, that's for sure.
Not really... it has that southern hillbilly feel that many associated with “rasslin” in those days. Personally I hated it because I grew up with “modern” Stampede wrestling (from Calgary AB) and WWF.
