This time I've grown catgrass for my cats.
This is the water culture growing method so it does not require soil.

Boy was Noah hungry! He even ate before it was ready
Nara is so adorable. I just love older cats because of their calmer attitude at that age. As for Noah, I am not surprised that he was the one who ate the grass. More eating and less activity makes Noah a thick boy.
He loves twist tie (also use to exercise) but doesn’t like to lose weight. He likes to gain weight.
Noah Is like a real lawn mower. The paws of future consumers (which sometimes flicker around) make this video even more interesting.

I carefully lifted the net with two skewers and changed the water.

This is a barley seed. It's okay even in winter because it was grown in the house.

This looks like hulled barley. Can regular dry barley (without the husk) sprout?
Do we need to change the water everyday? and the when you place the seeds over the net, shud they be touching the water or dipped?

The size of the mouth of the bowl is 110mm. Net is 120mm.

My cat prefers wheat grass. You also can grow barley, or oats, and most cats like them, too. Make sure not to buy treated seeds, though! You don't want them with pesticides on them.
I did not know it was this easy to grow cat grass, I don't know if it's me but I can't keep anything green alive, I replanted the cat grass I bought at the store and it died!🤦🏿♀️ Maybe I will try this way... your cats are funny, Nara was like "Really, um nah I'm good!" Probably has a reputation to keep as she looks very posh and sophisticated😅. Noah was funny, and the first cat was like "Not too bad..."

Have you ever encountered mold growing at the base of the grass after a few weeks? If so, how do you prevent it?
I believe mould will grow if light gets into the water. It’s not a good idea to use glass for this reason.
Good ventilation helps with plants, like a small fan.
I think you have to change the water every day, too.
Otherwise it gets stagnant and stinky.

- Is the grass as "delicious" as the one grown in soil?
- Can this method be used for wheat, rye, oat or flax seeds as well?

Using a toothpick, I lifted the net and changed the water.

@@waverleysworld9660 probably to make sure it’s clean, because the if one blade of grass gets a disease, the entire bowl of grass can die, and also likely to keep the cats safe

Cat grass attracts cats. Not fleas. It doesn't repel fleas, either. It's grass.
Where can I get a bowl and net like that?
I got these from a flower shop. The net was for laying under the flower pot.
@@noli Are you sure it's food-safe plastic then? I hope your cats are okay. I would be careful with what kind of plastic is used, should be BPA-free as well as non-toxic.
