    It's good that you brought up videogames because they really are just a job that wastes your time---they are easy to pick up and play, yet they do nothing for you. At least watching a video or show allows you to relax instead of making every waking moment of your life a job.

    • @BrickyBoi
      @BrickyBoi หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ It can be said about any game
      You grind out an endless game like tetris day by day to get quicker.. for what?
      Animal crossing is a no brainer
      Cod or similar games are just doing military missions over and over again

    • @BrickyBoi
      @BrickyBoi หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ieatsunchips Right, some videogames are inherently relaxing (e.g. building in Minecraft or socializing in Animal Jam)-whereas others just become more work to do (e.g. games with a ranked ladder that you end up repeatedly grinding out).

      games can be fun, but if they feel like a job, maybe it’s time to step back and rethink how you spend your time.

      I always think to myself, if I’m going to invest all this time in to getting good at x or y game, why not just invest that time into something with a more tangible ROI

    I enjoy your channel very much. I am going to university next year and have a question regarding tutoring. I have never been tutored and don't intend on getting any, but you talk about how it ruins so many STEM majors' paths. However, almost every IMO contender or extraordinary student/scientist of the past or present, such as Einstein or Terrence Tao, was heavily tutored one-on-one. I agree with the plagiarism or copying from the likes of Khan academy, but what makes tutoring so terrible?

    • @Celestial.frogboy
      @Celestial.frogboy หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I think he means that, people who use tutoring as a crutch to pass classes and do assignments will fail. If you pay attention to lectures and do self stufy and add tutoring on top of that im sure you'll pass the class

    • @e47277
      @e47277 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Celestial.frogboy ah thanks for the clarification. That seems like a terrible waste of money

    • @authorjond
      @authorjond  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      thanks for the question and the support. tutoring itself is not inherently bad, it can be life changing if done right. the issue arises when students rely on tutors as a crutch instead of using them as a tool to truly understand and grow. the goal is independence, not dependence.
