It's good that you brought up videogames because they really are just a job that wastes your time---they are easy to pick up and play, yet they do nothing for you. At least watching a video or show allows you to relax instead of making every waking moment of your life a job.
@ It can be said about any game
You grind out an endless game like tetris day by day to get quicker.. for what?
Animal crossing is a no brainer
Cod or similar games are just doing military missions over and over again
@ieatsunchips Right, some videogames are inherently relaxing (e.g. building in Minecraft or socializing in Animal Jam)-whereas others just become more work to do (e.g. games with a ranked ladder that you end up repeatedly grinding out).
games can be fun, but if they feel like a job, maybe it’s time to step back and rethink how you spend your time.

I always think to myself, if I’m going to invest all this time in to getting good at x or y game, why not just invest that time into something with a more tangible ROI

dont commit crimes until youre a couple million dollars up, then you can “legally” do insider trading and white collar crime. but until then, dont get caught.

Another start to the semester, another Mr.David pep talk. Btw I passed thermo!
For any guy who likes video games and weed (trust me I do too) it is 1000% worth stepping back for the semester and reserving those for winter/spring/summer break.
congrats on passing thermo! that’s huge, and your advice is spot-on-it’s all about priorities. taking a step back from distractions during the semester can make a world of difference.

I love the videos; they are very helpful. I'm currently at a community college in my hometown, but I plan to transfer to my state university next fall and major in software engineering. Do you have any tips for a software engineering major?
I don't know nothing about that degree. I mainly discuss the math and physics portions which i assume can be transitioned. Thanks for watching!

What do you think of people who like to draw or write in their spare time while being a stem major?
Nothing wrong with doing whatever you want whenever you want. Just understand that hat to prioritize
@@authorjond I had to learn that especially 2024. It was one of the reasons I was able to pass.
I enjoy your channel very much. I am going to university next year and have a question regarding tutoring. I have never been tutored and don't intend on getting any, but you talk about how it ruins so many STEM majors' paths. However, almost every IMO contender or extraordinary student/scientist of the past or present, such as Einstein or Terrence Tao, was heavily tutored one-on-one. I agree with the plagiarism or copying from the likes of Khan academy, but what makes tutoring so terrible?
I think he means that, people who use tutoring as a crutch to pass classes and do assignments will fail. If you pay attention to lectures and do self stufy and add tutoring on top of that im sure you'll pass the class
@@Celestial.frogboy ah thanks for the clarification. That seems like a terrible waste of money
thanks for the question and the support. tutoring itself is not inherently bad, it can be life changing if done right. the issue arises when students rely on tutors as a crutch instead of using them as a tool to truly understand and grow. the goal is independence, not dependence.

I keep trying to tell people the story but they cant handle the truth so I balance it. Im sorry.

Is smoking cigarettes considered “doing drugs”?
technically yes, since nicotine is a drug, but society doesn’t often label it that way.
