... And then they pass to partey, he is outnumbered 3 to 1 so he quickly gets closed down with no forward passing options. It's a fundamental flaw in the system! The exact same thing happened all the time at united under Solskjær and even Pogba couldn't solve that task. Inevitably the team just keeps passing between defenders, getting pushed way too low, leaving a massive space in midfield that partey is tasked to cover. It's an impossible job, it just doesn't work!
The system is flawed, no other top teams play this system!
The solution is so obvious and simple, they need to stop playing a number 10. Ødegaard needs to be lower in the field during buildup. They need to change to a 433.
