    This is so much easier than doing unnecessary algebra. Thanks for explaining the simple ratios.

    Thank you, my class be teaching this too fast. From single phase series/parallel to complex to polyphase in a day.

    Would you give advice on 72v dc Lithium battery charger I bought from America. The transformer has overheated and the company I bought it from has washed their hands of it and refunded me. I'm trying to find out what went wrong so I can get the appropriate transformer. I live in the UK and am not having much luck.

    How to relate maximum output current with transformer coil induction (Amps in terms of Henry)?

  • @farm7745
    @farm7745 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    على سبيل مثال :
    لو فرضنا 930 لفة ابتدائي
    48 لفة ثانوى
    930 / 48 = 19.375 turns ratio
    تيار ابتدائي 220 * 19.375 = 4.26 هذا تيار ثانوي هل هذا صحيح ؟

    Where did the 1200v and 240v at the beginning of the video?

    How you decide the value of resistance 16 ohms?

    Hi, I would like to understand if the Secondary Current is independent of the Primary Current?

    • @RB-xv4si
      @RB-xv4si 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. The primary current is dependent on the secondary current.

  • @S200773
    @S200773 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    What it is all about who told you 15A in secondary how you got that 15 from where 240V with 16 ohms load is 13.75 and where the turn ratio is used to calculate current what about if transformer rated for 1 A and you calculated 15A

      We, I agree... this video doesn't consider the wire awg on the primary or secondary to determine if primary can even handle the range of current drawn! The math is okay, but leaving out a few variables to determine amps.

    So I watched this video now, and now I know. So I wired up a coil, one with 6 windings and one with 3 winding to step down from 240V to 120V and boom, all fuses are out.
    What I'm trying to say here, no one on TH-cam can tell me how many windings a coil needs.
    If I want to step down from 240AC to 120AC
    Primary 50 secondary 25?
    Primary 100 secondary 50?
    Primary 200 secondary 100?
    Primary 400 secondary 200?
    Primary 800 secondary 400?
    Primary 1600 secondary 800?
    Primary 3200 secondary 1600?
    How to calculate the number of turns??

    • @Glompt
      @Glompt ปีที่แล้ว

      i think in most cases you’d like to have a volt per turn number of 1 or greater. so for 240v primary have 240 turns or windings. i think any number below 1 for a v/t is bad

    You are explaining Ohm's law by Ohm's law. You got voltage and resistance and it took you 4 minutes to divide them. I have transformer and don't know anything but voltages and am trying to figure how to calculate power rating, but your video is obviously not going to help.

    • @mtevans6196
      @mtevans6196 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      just multiple the volts by amps equal power

    • @anti_globalista
      @anti_globalista 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mtevans6196 Amps of what? There's no current without circuit. And in circuit it depends on load.

      Yes my friend this man is just spreading fake information ,as in reality the power of a transformer depend upon the area of iron core used and the diameter of both primary and secondary wires used😂.
