Most of his down B specials can either be jumped over, OR you could just maintain your distance away if Magic Burst/Kamikaze/Snooze/Thwack/Whack etc is casted (those spells can't go that far, and Magic Burst can just be shielded). Fully charged neutral B and side B doesn't break shields, and both can be jumped over or reflected with a reflector. And that crit smash attack ain't gonna land (unless hard read) if your opponent has enough matchup experience.

The reason the Greninja didn't go for the risky counter against the powerful smash attack is because the reward wasn't enough. Greninja's substitute does not scale with the power of the countered move.

As a hero main from 2022, it’s fun to see how hero players from day one have changed and it’s fun to see how z keeps saying that fully charged side b is good.
Dragon Quest VIII was my childhood. So it's so great being able to watch smash while listening to amazingly nostalgic tracks like War Cry at the same time.
Hero tip: Don’t use your down B abilities often or else your mana with drain and your opponent can just throw you off and then edge guard and you’ll be dead (unless you have enough for zoom). Also you’re vulnerable during this and you’ll have to take a couple of seconds to see your abilities and remember what they do, and in those seconds, it won’t take long for your opponent to get a hit on you. Using buffs should be far away from your opponent, and slash abilities are dependable but you shouldn’t depend on them because of you having to get close to your opponent and then using down B and then you have to see if you even have the slash ability in your menu and in that time you get hit. So use it if you know your opponent is gonna come at you, and if you don’t have a slash ability in your menu don’t try to get another set of abilities unless your opponent is far enough. And also...down throw fare or maybe neutral air or down tilt fare or nare.
when you open your menu your opponent can see the menu also so try to juke out what your going to use rather than stay on the one you want such as you would do with shulk's manado arts.
@@Joker-nh6dd His normals are incredible with early K.O potential, especially if you get a crit on a forward smash. Also Nerf literally half his section from his down-B. Even if you don't get what you want, it's almost a guarantee you can get something that does an immediate 30%+. Even quick/rush-down game-styles and characters that can work, he just deals too much damage with next to no cost and once people get used to the menu, rush-down tactics are going to less effective.
In all honesty Hero isn’t as broken as a lot of people think. A lot of him is just RNG kinda like game and watch. He kinda reminds me of like mega man and link combined into one, with nice ranged sword attacks and then great projectiles. Either way, I don’t think that he’s the best character in the game as of now
Truse I partly agree. I’d be totally fine with nerfing or removing the random critical hits from Hero’s smash attacks. But otherwise the RNG complaints are so exaggerated. Other than his command menu being randomly selected such a large majority of the spells are not truly rng based upon casting. Out of all these spells they can do only three actually have RNG involved. And the menu still partially takes skill and practice to use quickly One of them, Hocus Pocus, is not even worth seriously using. The risks outweigh the benefits especially with one of the bad things resulting in you casting Kamikazee and killing yourself. They probably won’t remove any specials but I wouldn’t miss Hocus Pocus, and to a lesser extent Kamikazee. And lesser extent only cuz that has quite some power to it and has some situational use but if it got removed I wouldn’t care so much On to Whack and Thwack. Whack is not even that good. It’s kind of a small projectile and not a particularly fast one considering it’s small size. Though the range is fairly good that’s the only thing it’s got going for it. Thwack is a bit better being a wide burst in front of you but iirc the horizontal range isn’t as good. And the chances of them proccing at no damage or very low damage are quite very slim, If you even hit with them to begin with and the opponent didn’t shield it which Isn’t hard to do. They can nerf the proc chance scaling a bit they’re largely not worth going for with the target at such low damage anyway.
Second charge of side-B has pretty decent range and isn't a projectile, so you can use it against those charging up attacks or scrolling through the skill menu, to send them upwards for 18 mana and like 22-25% dmg.
pkphantom not everyone finds randomness fun. A lot of people prefer skill to be the deciding factor, you can’t outskill luck, and giving undeserved victories disincentives self-improvement or mastery of the game. If you enjoy randomness you can turn items on and have stage hazards on. It shouldn’t be something unable to be disabled.
