Used to love helping out neighbors when I was a younger man of fifty. Now at seventysix and in not so great health I wish there was someone like you and your JD in the neighborhood.
Much respect to your choice of helping people. You are the hero for WANTING to do this! I find your work here so relaxing and rewarding to watch. And a big thank you for no music crap! That tractor is humming right along!
thank you for being so kind. My viewers don't like music wow they don't. The machines the hero couldn't do this without it. Thank you for watching be safe.
Really appreciate what you are doing, helping others !!!!! That's what I want to do in retirement !!!!! We will see how the health goes ! 65 in June 😢 Thanks for bringing us along and the inspiration to keep going 👍🙏❤
Definitely the right piece of equipment for that job 👍 Definitely right about no music, good videos are always destroyed with crappy music - great job.
Thank you I appreciate your supportive comment. I would never call myself a hero...I'm just a nice guy that wanted to share a great machine. Thank you and be safe.
I did 5 driveways with my quad on the last big storm we had. Like you I just smile and don’t expect anything. If they want to give me gas or some coffee I’ll take it, if not just knowing I helped is enough.
Being a JD owner myself, I know where your heart is. 50% kindness to neighbors, 50% joy operating an awesome machine😅. How long would it take to shovel that much snow!? Great video!
The machine is the hero because without it I could not shovel that much snow but you know that. She's a great machine, lol but you also know that. You're right on target thank you for supporting my channel I agree with you.
Reminds me when we bought our house. I bought a 32” snow blower/thrower. EVERYONE even the neighbors asked why the heck did I buy such a big snow blower? Mind you I have a 80’ one and a half car driveway driveway, 100’ of side walk plus 30’ walk to my front door step. That first snow storm brought 15” of heavy snow. I brought out my snowblower/thrower like a champ! I did the entire block’s side walk, both sides, and took care of my elderly neighbors driveways. It was fun, I’ll admit that. I’m still waiting for another big snow storm!!
👏👏BRAVO, reminded me of our inner-city neighborhood (Minnesota) with 4 able sons around the house, dad would make us do the sidewalks up and down the block. Elderly ladies stopping over to say "thank you, what do we owe you?" my father would say "a hot cup of coffee." "When you go out into the world, hold hands and stick together!" - from Everything I know, I learned in Kindergarten
Randy very sharp observation they are new to the neighborhood very nice couple. They went house to house shoveling...I think they are the neighborhood heroes. Be safe you are impressive.
Nothing better than playing with the big toys. This year is a rarity for us in Winnipeg, Canada as not as much snow as everywhere else. You are a good man for helping out your neighbours. Go John Deere.
1. You are a really good guy for doing that. 2. That is a nice neighborhood. 3. I am sure the older people think you are a saint. 4. Nothing like being able to spend time in your toy (a really nice toy) while helping people
I used to clear my neighbors’ driveways with my little Toro. Enjoyed it immensely but since moving to Texas from northern Illinois I don’t miss the snow at all!
Your a great neighbor Pete , this yr I started doing my elderly neighbors driveways and walkways because I had found out another neighbor was charging them crazy amount of money for every 3” of snow myself and another neighbor said we will fix this ridiculous price gouger and are doing them to help the 85yr old young lady and the 2 other senior citizens who can’t shovel there driveways and town walkways
Chuck you are a hero and that is very nice of you. Doesn't it make you feel great and is healthy for your mind, body and soul. Thank you for sharing this with me and supporting my channel.
At 85 years old I’d do it for free if they were my neighbors. We can only hope to live to see 80 anything. Some people will try to get over on the elderly with no shameZ
To make sure you clear the fire hydrants. They get left behind during winter a lot of people forget about the fire hydrants. Great job you do thank you for the video God bless
Nathan a customer was telling me Christmas day her neighbor was digging out a fire hydrant and broke it shutting down the neighborhood water Christmas day for 8 hours....please don't be offended but I'm staying away from hydrants with my machine. But Maybe I should hand shovel them. Thank you be safe.
You’re a good man!! We use to get snows like that back in the 70’s in MN but not so much anymore, man I miss those days!! I really love the snow!! keep up the good work. Have a great day.
Well done brother, There's nothing like being in a position to be able to help others and knowing what a difference your able to make in someone else's life
Sir I'm not the hero the machine is, it's stated in the title and I repeat it in the video. My neighbors have snow blowers and they both broke down. One of the neighbors whose driveway I cleaned went door to door shoveling the entire neighborhood sidewalks and mail boxes...as I state in the videos they are heroes. Never did I elude that I was a hero...nice guy yes not a hero. Thank you for watching be safe.
I did the same as you're, I did 9 driveways for over 15 years, I know, it made me feel very good inside, and I didn't want anything in return. But it came to a halt one year when we had 15" of snow, so I got out and started to clean my neighbors ' driveways while all of them were cleaning their front doors, well, after three driveways, I ran out of gas, lifted the tractor hood, checked the oil, grabbed my spare can, and told them out loud that I needed gas. NO ONE MOVED OR SAID ANYTHING. BTW, my driveway wasn't clean yet, so got in my truck to get gas, came back, put gas in, and came back from a half-done driveway to clean my driveway, when finished, I parked, and grabbed a shovel to clean my front door. Not one came to offer gas or to clean my front door, that was the last time.
OMH that's horrible...just horrible but I believe. We have neighbors that I blow their driveway they went house to house shoveling mailboxes. Then when we had the blizzard and the plow truck left piles at the end of the driveways they shoveled everyone's driveway out. I came home from work plowing and couldn't believe my driveway was clean. Then will shine on you as you're special. Don't let anyone tarnish your good deeds...no one. God bless you and thank you for helping others.
I have a suggestion. This comes from my time in Germany. Place poles along the driveways that tell you where the concrete ends. I would take 2x4's and rip them down into 2x1.5x6' strips. Then place them in the ground along the areas that will need to be plowed. Where you have a curb place the pole against the curb. When you don't have a cur, on your driveway, place the pole about 6" to 8" away from the paved surface. This way the distance you need to stay away from the poles is constant. Since you're saying that you get 4' drifts I would place a 8' pole. Put them in the ground in late October and take them up whenever you feel you've gotten the last snow of the season. I know this is a year after you posted this video but maybe you'll look and say this is a good idea. Or maybe you've already done this. Or maybe not. ✌
I do this on my driveway just as you suggested but I really don't want stake my neighbors driveway. But I suggested to my adjacent neighbor to stake her driveway and she's been doing ever since. Excellent comment thank you for trying to help be safe.
That’s one heck of a unit. I can’t imagine trying to blow that amount of snow with my thrower. The properties are really quite large and beautiful homes. That John Deere isn’t a cheap unit for sure. I just happened upon your video. Your a good neighbour helping out your neighbours. The ones complaining about the strobe light I certainly wouldn’t worry about. I’m sure you feel better helping out too.👍👍🇨🇦
Any 8hp or larger thrower should be able to handle that. The break through is the toughest part. After that just take half bites of the snow pile. Drift busters on the sides of the auger intake should help or use a shovel to break down the drift to where the thrower can get it. Not as gentlemanly as this rig but it's certainly doable.
My neighbors love it when I show up with my little Wheel Horse blower. It is not half the size of your but we have smaller driveways and usually less snow
plowing snow has been one of my most favorite things to do over the years, my 3720 John Deere was the first to have a cab making it so I could plow snow in a tee shirt. plowed 99 driveways for fun the last year before I moved to AZ, I really miss the snow plowing. Enjoyed your video.
Bless you Dale that's awesome! I'm trying to get to Arizona is been a goal of mine for years. Next winter will be here soon and I'll post more snow videos. You had a great tractor. Thank you for supporting my channel.
Thanks for the video Sir. I have a 3 acre lawn and volunteer to mow the grounds at my church which is a large parcel. I presently use a Scag zero turn but as I get older, the HVAC cab seems like a great idea. The 3046r is on my list to demo. I have to say I'm really impressed. I have a large farm and some large tractors but that size seems ideal with a snowblower and a 72 inch mid mount mower. Thanks so much!
Alex the tractor will not cut as well as your zero turn, and is very heavy maybe to heavy if the property is wet. I will tell you and I did a video years ago cutting my lawn the 3046R tractor does a great job mowing grass better than my previous machines. Thank you for supporting my channel.
I love your comment in the beginning of the video where we all need to help one another that is one hell of a statement we all need to work together first time to your Channel
I used to do the same when I had my old JD 750 (1984) with front blower. I regret every winter that I sold, even though I moved out of the countryside. However, for clean up, I actually used a box blade on the back to pick up the remnant from the blower (as I blew the snow) or pull up snow driven on or get close to garage doors where I couldn’t blow. I needed the back weight too. I’d clear several hundred feet before my mine and my neighbors drive too, just so the plow didn’t create more work for me later. Either way, you’re right, JD is the hero. I was just lucky enough to drive it…it gave me a ton of satisfaction too 😎. Keep up the good work!
Tony I've had many comments like yours which I love reading. Life goes by fast but it seems we remember our tractors. Thank you for supporting my channel, you may want to read some of the other comments like yours and replay. stay safe.
I do the same thing for my neighbours when we get a huge dumping. One thing that I try to do is not hit the maple trees with the snow. The salt in it will kill the trees. It eats the bark. Nice that you can do this. I use a BX23S with the blower on the front. I do not have a cab on it, so I make sure I aim away with the chute.
OK! Ya got me! I'm jealous! The way the village plows snow we get those really high mounds at the driveway. I have always thought about being able to do that for myself and the neighbors here in WI
Yes we need more people like sir you are a great person ..The good Lord will bless you for this you are doing to his people (He said who do things for my people is also doing for me )..I am very happy to see people like you.. The way the people in this world are turning bad ..God bless you Sir and all your family and neighbords from northern mi
What a beautiful verse and wonderful flattering comment. thank you Mario truly I don't think I'm better than anyone else..frankly I have many flaws. But I keep trying to be better and hope my family and God understand. Bless you, your family and please be safe. Thank you for making my night.
If you get that much snow from time to time, those neighbors with those long driveways without a snowblower are just taking advantage of your good will. I used to do that in my neighborhood until after one snowfall I got a call wondering if was coming out and around to clear away snow because if I wasn’t then they would have to come out and do their driveway. I then realized that there are only X number of hours in a snowblower that I use, purchased and maintained. Volunteering is one thing, so is an expectation.
Good neighbors do good things for sure. Our neighbors are managing our triple car driveway because hubby can't do it right now. It is a good thing to have good neighbors for sure. God Bless you and your wonderful hard working John Deere. We have a John Deere rider and that this is awesome for sure.
Joe Australia is a great country and wonderful people. We're close allies and will be for ever. America and the world are filled many great people like yourself. Be safe and thank you from down under.
I really enjoyed watching you use the snow blower on the driveway. Like you said, we like to hear the engine. Could you please show us what controls you use to activate the snow blower or raise and lower the bucket. It's very interesting to watch. Thanks for sharing this video.
Please search for a video I made years ago where I review the controls on my tractor. I don't have it anymore...as I use a track loader to clear snow. You my like my track loader videos. Be safe.
You d best!!! I ran a 1960 Kodiak for a ski area clearing the parking lots. That thing was miserable to run all night. Yours looks fun...and warm! Be safe. Don't find any yard knick knacks or concrete gnomes with the rotary.
I hit a dead dear and a set of skis and poles. The same machine I ran that winter ran over a guy sleeping in MT Bachelor parking lot the following winter. Snow plow hit him first in his tent. It is a convoluted story but a guy did lose his life. That machine was cold AF and windows would fog up and ice over. Be safe, my dude.
You, Sir. Are an amazing man. So nice to see someone helping people out. I admire what you do. I sometimes wish I would have pursued a tractor before I retired. I to myself help others when I can. All I have is a 1998 3/4 t Cummins . But it does what needs. That for sharing. 🙏
Then you are a special person as you want to help others. The tractor is the real hero I'm just fortunate that I can share it with others. Thank you for the positive comment please stay safe.
I plowed snow for 4 years up in Buffalo NY for over 100 apartments ( both free and paid ) I found the best solution to this snow situation was to move to Charlotte NC and we never looked back. Now I just cut peoples lawn for 10 months a year. Stay warm my northern friends.
I can't speak for anyone besides myself but I like straight through videos not time lapse , I also like to know what the equipment is you are using and the attachments . I can see your using a front mounted snowblower but as for the model of it I can't say . If it wasn't for the snowblower I wouldn't be watching.
Well I hope you consider watching some of my other videos. Us older people have to stick together ;) Be safe Tank and thank you for supporting my channel.
Just came across your channel. Love It! Love that you don’t speed it up and inform of us of little tidbits as you go, yet let us hear the machine work. Great Job!
Juliann it seems you are not alone, my viewers do not like music or too much time lapse. Thank you for supporting my channel my goal is to keep you interested.
Robert I'm just like you. I enjoyed the gratification from helping them, I'm probably selfish because it made me feel so good. I'm lucky to have them as neighbors. Thank you for supporting my channel.
Another great snow blowing video, Pete! You are so kind to help your community. It will come back to you someday in your time of need. Great to see a good WNY dump. We’ve had good snow and snowmobiling in the UP this winter. But the Lower can’t catch a break - rain, snow, rain, repeat.
That's what good men do. Help others by using their resources and talent. Giving back to our communities helps make our communities a better place. Much respect for you and what you are doing, my friend.
Thank you

That’s one heck of a unit. I can’t imagine trying to blow that amount of snow with my thrower. The properties are really quite large and beautiful homes. That John Deere isn’t a cheap unit for sure. I just happened upon your video. Your a good neighbour helping out your neighbours. The ones complaining about the strobe light I certainly wouldn’t worry about. I’m sure you feel better helping out too.👍👍🇨🇦
Rick you're right on all accounts. No neighbor complained about the strobe a viewer did...he doesn't even live near me. Thank you
Any 8hp or larger thrower should be able to handle that.
Awesome Bob I'm sure they do. Thank you for helping others we know it's gratifying. be safe
thank you for not speeding up the film and being in real time I liked it
You're welcome Kirk have a great holiday season
plowing snow has been one of my most favorite things to do over the years, my 3720 John Deere was the first to have a cab making it so I could plow snow in a tee shirt. plowed 99 driveways for fun the last year before I moved to AZ, I really miss the snow plowing.
Russell I think more often than not we do help each other. Thank you for supporting my channel be safe.
BX is a solid machine. Thank you for the tree advice. Be safe and keep helping others with your tractor it feel so good but you know that. Be safe.
OK! Ya got me! I'm jealous!
The way the village plows snow we get those really high mounds at the driveway. I have always thought about being able to do that for myself and the neighbors here in WI
Boy I had projects in WI you really get some weather there. Be safe and thank you for commenting.
Great Job
Great Tractor and Blower
thank you for supporting my channel.
You are totally right I get it. My neighbors understand for sure. Thank you for helping me. Be safe
I plan to do this when I retire next December help my neighbors by clearing their driveways
Bob I'm jealous...great for you just so great. Thank you for taking your valuable time to support my channel. Please enjoy retirement. Be safe
@@maraudermitchelli i plan on enjoying it helping my neighbors work on tractors and work part time enjoy life slow it down
Good man, wish there were more like you!
It’s all about the tractor and thank you I’m sure you’re a better man than I be safe 🙂
Thank God there are still good people like this still around God speed. ECF
Good neighbors do good things for sure. Our neighbors are managing our triple car driveway because hubby can't do it right now. It is a good thing to have good neighbors for sure. God Bless you and your wonderful hard working John Deere. We have a John Deere rider and that this is awesome for sure.
So many nice people right Sandra. God Bless your family also stay safe take care of that John Deere.
You're a great neighbor
Larry I'm blessed I've been surrounded by great people my entire life...thank you stay warm.
What an incredibly decent human being you are, you are the true great American indeed. Australia would be proud to welcome as one of us
Joe Australia is a great country and wonderful people. We're close allies and will be for ever. America and the world are filled many great people like yourself. Be safe and thank you from down under.
Having the equipment to help is a great feeling, doing something without being asked that’s why we do these friendly jestures
Agreed Greg….it’s nice to help others when they don’t expect to be helped. Sharing the tools we have. 🙂be safe
@@maraudermitchelli we do everything to help our neighbors. How are doing with your health?
I found a tow strap once...not fun. Thank you
I hit a dead dear and a set of skis and poles.
The same machine I ran that winter ran over a guy sleeping in MT Bachelor parking lot the following winter. Snow plow hit him first in his tent. It is a convoluted story but a guy did lose his life. That machine was cold AF and windows would fog up and ice over. Be safe, my dude.
You may have saved someone's life that day. Great job
That's very kind of you, I'm just sharing a great machine that helps other...she's the hero. Be safe and thank you
That's quite a rig. Appreciate your willingness to help others too.
Thank you sir, it feels great to be able to share an amazing machine with others. Be safe thank you for supporting my channel.
I feel like it's about to be outed that he paid for it with some sneaky government contracts..... but maybe I'm wrong
That is why you are much smarter than I...good for you as you've earned. Be safe.
Good neighbors are nice to have.
When don’t have them that’s when it’s too late. Thank you LM thank you 😊
I can't speak for anyone besides myself but I like straight through videos not time lapse , I also like to know what the equipment is you are using and the attachments . I can see your using a front mounted snowblower but as for the model of it I can't say . If it wasn't for the snowblower I wouldn't be watching.
Well I hope you consider watching some of my other videos. Us older people have to stick together ;) Be safe Tank and thank you for supporting my channel.
@@maraudermitchelli will do
Just came across your channel. Love It! Love that you don’t speed it up and inform of us of little tidbits as you go, yet let us hear the machine work. Great Job!
Juliann it seems you are not alone, my viewers do not like music or too much time lapse. Thank you for supporting my channel my goal is to keep you interested.
Lots of Fun
I am from Minnesota.
Awesome I follow Millennial Farmer...Minnesota gets cold. Be safe
That's so cool! If I had a tractor and set up like that, I would do the same.
It's great to share Mathew I'm sure you would. Be safe keep commenting.
Absolutely. We all need to help each other
Agreed...be safe and thank you for commenting.
I agree with speeding the video - I can't watch them as it upsets my vertigo! Love hearing the machine, too.
John it seems most agree with you. I hope you enjoyed the video and thank you for supporting my channel.
You are a good man sir!!
Steve I'm sure you are, I'm surrounded by great people
you are one of the most detailed plowings that I watched...I enjoy your great plowing ethics...
Thanks Mark, we all help each other that's how it should be.
Sir you are a scholar and gentleman!!! You Looking out for neighbors is awesome!!,
Robert I'm just like you. I enjoyed the gratification from helping them, I'm probably selfish because it made me feel so good. I'm lucky to have them as neighbors. Thank you for supporting my channel.
Thats a sweet set up you have there and helping out your fellow man your a stand up guy !
Thank you Raymond I'm sure you are also. Thank you for supporting my channel. Be safe.
That was the machine that’s for sure I love that tractor great machine 👍
She did a great job this storm didn’t she 😊
@@maraudermitchelli yes, she certainly did awesome tractor
Another great snow blowing video, Pete! You are so kind to help your community. It will come back to you someday in your time of need. Great to see a good WNY dump. We’ve had good snow and snowmobiling in the UP this winter. But the Lower can’t catch a break - rain, snow, rain, repeat.
Thank you. We had a two day thaw and now 6" overnight with more on the way. Be safe.
Snow angel colored green.
Jon awesome comment, thank you for supporting my channel.
wow, nice work they would have been shoveling until spring : )
Oh man the blizzard was even worse thank you and be safe.
