This video was 2 years ago. I went to the main Rathbone Sales TH-cam page and looked through the videos hoping to find a QnA vid or build breakdown vid of this setup. Although could not find anything.

super cool, we just got a Bad Boy Maverick 54' Kawasaki. Now i enjoy mowing the lawn. Bad Boy makes a very nice machine. i just love the cut quality
I picked up the same one today. It's a 2021 with 9 hours that's really clean for $5200. I couldn't say no.
One of the best cuts I’ve seen
I have the little older one with the Cat stickers on it. Was sitting in someone's yard. I stopped and asked them about it. Cut up couple trees along a fence line for it. They didn't know what was wrong. Took it home, disassembled the injection pump and cleaned really good, and the fuel tanks as well. Runs like new now

It takes a little bit to get used to driving one after driving a normal tractor style, but once you've got it, you've got it. If you're cutting lines, you have to be careful spinning the mower around or the back tire will dig a bare spot. Just take it nice and slow during the turn and then it's back to full throttle across the yard!

I have this mower and can’t find manual. Would you happen to know the part number of oil pan? Mine is cracked.
That's a monster. I just bought my first zero turn mower yesterday. Bad Boy Maverick. A bit smaller than that one. lol. I don't think I can mow twenty miles per hour like you were either. But I'm told I'll never go back to a tractor mower. I'll know more about that next fall.
The Maverick is a GREAT mower. You'll love it and there is no doubt you'll never go back to the tractor style!

Hey Jack, my BAD BOY is not as big as your's but I REALLY LOVE IT THOUGH, I mean it's A CADILLAC REALLY, it's a 54" MAGNUM MZ with the Kohler motor and I REALLY LOVE IT, it about 2 years old now AND NO PROBLEMS WHAT SO EVER, I going to put the gator blades and the solid front tires on mine, but all I do is just recline and relax on my puppy and GIT ER DONE
I have over 3 acres and recently upgraded to a Ferris and man what a mower !!!!!! But that is one mean mower wow and damn lol

One thing that was not mentioned in this video but it’s something that they did, raising the Shute up to the transport position also throws the grass further and disperses more evenly. A very well-known trick of the pros. If you notice in this video, the piling stopped once the Shute was up.

Piling is with regular blades . Gator blades are awesome yes grass shoot a little further with guard up
I am very interested in the setup as well. I have Cub Cadet, but it also has the C1.1 CAT engine. I am waiting for the next video to follow up this one, but I have not seen it. Was there any pump adjustments to increase fueling as well, or just the addition of the turbo, piping, and oil lines?

Watched a video where the guy said the Scag had the best deck and threw the grass better than the BB. This video shows the BB diesel tossing that grass pretty far. The cut looks good too. Diesel is the best 👍

I've read acag talking up there mowers before. Myself I would compare Bad Boy and Kubota when comes to diesel
Have the same mower..."Ask Jack" for turbo and intercooler part numbers please. Would love to do mine and his trial and errors knowhow could cut out alot of time and headaches.

Well turbo, not many mowers do come close. This is a special machine for sure. We are also a TORO dealer, and their mowers are great!

When you scalp the lawn like that does it take longer to grow back?????
Not necessarily, but the grass doesn't like it. Can get damaged by the sun and wont hold moisture well. When you leave the grass a little longer, it retains moisture better and will stay greener. Rule of thumb is to cut no more than 1/3 of the grass height. This patch of grass is kind of a different story because it gets hit with the fertilizer going through the circle in the background.
Make that do a 100 mph
I guess it takes a lot of power to cut the grass all the way DOWN TO THE GROUND.

The engine on this machine is also used in some tractors. Jack found the turbo equipped tractor engine and ordered! Wasn't a straight forward install. Subscribe so you don't miss the next video where we discuss the parts and install!

@@aux1z11 Our customer found the turbo from the engine manufacturer and had to fabricate most of the other parts. Great Question. We will mention this in the next Video!

What kind of grass could you possibly be mowing to need this much power in a mower?
That grass gets hit by the end gun on a circle. So its heavily fertilized and wet most of the time.
Long thick grass, and power = cutting speed, get more grass cutting done in less time

I just did yet I'm half weeds half grass. I sometimes let grow long and seed Bahia on its own will be letting grow long now and help the roots.
Charge air cooler? Doesn't look like it... Would really need to be a liquid/air cooler on a slow machine that doesn't naturally have lots of airflow. I have a Yanmar 3810 tractor with turbo - no cooler on it, either. Bums me out whenever I think about it. Colder boost is definitely better boost!

Have you had problems with the wheel motors breaking I mow commercially and have three of them break within 200 hours I have pictures to prove it they use junk wheel motors had to put a set of grasshoppers on there
We have not ran into that particular problem. Although a customer did have the castle nut come loose on the rear wheel and mess a bunch of stuff up.
@@rathbonesales6349 yeah one of mine came loose and broke and then the other two just broke what year is that? I noticed your suspension sits flat my wheels are tilted out do you have bands on the rubbers back there? That's another problem I had bands break from the weight so had to weld added steel to them should not have to do this for an $18,000 machine
@@danieldrake2909 We have only sold one set of bands for the cushions on the back. Customer replaced the cushions and bands the same time. They can definitely flatten and get a bit out of shape over time. heavy machines. This particular Outlaw is a 2014.
