I've been playing for 4 months and just got my second whitetail Great One along with a 272 score super rare albino whitetail The first grind I shot 10 diamonds before the Great One appeared but on my second grind not one diamond spawned during the whole grind which was crazy.
Nice, I was hunting Revontuli yesterday, saw it from over 400 yards, all the way across the field, damn 1 trivial albino doe. Yes I shot her, paid for her taxi. Hopefully an albino buck takes her place.
Great information! It kind of makes the game easier and less exciting; but you know, whatever fit you or makes you happy. I myself, just shoot the game with the goal to kill them on their tracks using bows, only bows from greater and greater distances. Max distance so far is 125 m - Water Buffalo (big on screen). But if your goal is to get super rare and diamond trophies, then this tactic is the way to go. Thanks Lady!

I started doing this a couple months ago just with working out of town full time I don’t play much, I’d say In total the past couple months I’ve maybe but 20 hours in doing the stacking method and have killed 4 piebald red deer and currently have eight legendarys on the map. After watching this I’m gonna go kill the two deer I believe are trolls I didn’t know to do that before so thank you guys. Also it feels when Im doing this I either see a new diamond every hour or a piebald which is insane

You know the games trolling you hard when you sight a moose with harlequin fur, shoot it, only to find it's was all tan (soooo disappointed)
Question. If I have a diamond potential level 2, do I harvest it or let it ride? Looking at a level 2, 238 - 279 white tail and not sure to go ahead and take it or not.
As you go through the grind, you’ll get to learn which racks will make diamond and which wont. Go ahead and shoot him. You only want diamonds stacked. Not trolls. When you harvest him, try to remember what that rack scores for next time. Good luck!

No, leave the low levels. Never need to shoot them. When you have a zone fill up with level 1s, leave the zone, pull up your tent and tripod and go to where there are higher levels and keep doing this. We will be making a part 2 to this video, going into more detail
Great video! Feeling extra motivated to start grinding for great ones. Two clarifying questions. First, stacking affects only diamonds, it has no guaranteed connection to GO's, the herd management is the GO factor? Second, there was no clear spec on level goal for bears or red deer. Most people it seems shoot 5s and up. Is that the ideal, or should smaller be shot as well?

Thanks for the brilliant video. Clarified quite a lot. I can only repeat that this approach obviously works. Got my drinking zones in TA, set up my grind setup and started mowing down all the 5-8s (except the 8ers that had Diamond potential). What can I say: not even 500 kills in, 4 or 5 Lvl9, one rare on the map...and I almost had an heart-attack a few moments ago....I spotted my 1st ever Great one Red Deer! Correction 1h later: I actually spawned two Great One tonight.

@@garathrichards have another look to the lakes where you didnt find drinking zones yet and keep shooting the males in the mentioned range size. Sooner or later the diamonds will spawn. Whereas when you get only a few 7s all the time I'd assume that you missed some areas and/or a few Big Ones might stroll around on your map somewhere already

Hello, I have a question. I recently began my Whitetail GO grind in Layton, and by following herd management and stacking strategies I got almost all of the drink zones full of level 1s. Now in just a few of them, I spawned various level 3s (mostly diamonds), but I'm not shooting them yet. What should I do now?
@@LadyLegendXO Hi, sorry for the late answer. So, basically I didn't really sort the zones in shooting ones and exterior ones. I simply shot randomly every level 2, and day after day many zones began to spawn only level 1s. Now, out of 50 zones I kept shooting in every rotation, 30 of them spawn only level 1 deers, and 5 of these zones include a diamond. In my map there's a total of six level 3 diamond bucks. So, now should I fill those remaining 20 zones with level 1s before shooting the 3s, right?

Is there a resource out there that gives the levels to shoot and levels to leave to properly manage your herds of any given species thanks to his whitetail grind I know to shoot 2s leave 1s and big 3s and things to your moose grind I know to only shoot 3s and 4s. But what about red deer or follows? Or bears what should someone be shooting for those animals to get the most out of each type?
Wait so is it possible to only have diamonds and level 1s on your map for species? Also let’s say for whitetail I got a level 2 but it’s a diamond potential do I still kill it?

You can stack GOs. I have 3 whitetail currently on Revontuli. One person that i showed herd management on console was able to spawn 4 red deer GO on Te Awaroa.

In the video, you were talking about interior and exterior zones. How many do you think is the right amount to have approximately (for interior)? I’m gonna start my moose grind on Medved when the update is out so I’m trying to prepare for it.😅
I would shoot them. That is the prime target range for mid level shooters. You may have to find more zones, but you are really looking to get solos down to lvl 2. The extra effort pays off!
I have a question so i started n red deer grind and i am at plus minus 1000 kills i am stacking and it is working out great with diamond’s, but i play on xbox soo I don’t shoot alot of deer per rotation i ahve been thinking of shooting an not picking up the deer will this impact my sqawns if I don’t pick then up? @@elycosta2596 So you will still get diamonds and respawns if you dont pick up. But from what i have noticed, It seems people are not getting GO from not picking up. I am not sure why its like that. But from everything that i have seen, it seems to me that picking up is very effective and is the absolute best option for Great One grinding. Keep shooting those 2s! In your main zones if 1s spawn in there, shoot them. You want level 1s to spawn in the exterior zones. The video really explains it all!
I have 2 questions 1. What if I have a level 2 whitetail but it’s a diamond? Do I leave it or shoot it? 2. Can I pay one of y’all to set up a whitetail grind for me?????
Level 4 and lower is what you want to leave. Shoot everything from 5 to 8 and leave the level 9’s in the zones you want for future use and kill them out of zones you don’t want to use permanently. Ultimately you don’t absolutely have to stack max levels when just starting out, if you want to keep it simple then just go to your least favorite zones first and shoot everything above level 4 until most or all of the animals left there are 4 and just move on from there. You can start stacking 9’s in your favorite zones when you’re ready and just go back and weed out any stragglers above level 4 from your least favorite zones after.

I am a little confused - apparently, to spawn a GO, I need to shoot all 2''s, and leave the 1's and 3's - correct? Or do I shoot most 2's, but not the higher end 2's that show a trophy rating of 220+? Also, how do you identify the trolls? Thanks!
You can get a great one without using herd managment. HM helps with more diamonds and possibly super rares. To spawn a great one, just keep shooting the males. I would recommend not shooting the 1s and 2s. If you're referring to whitetail, you get to know which ones will make diamond from their racks with experience. Good luck!
Hey lady, does herd management work for grizzly bears? I've been on a grind for a diamond for a while now, and I can't even get a 9 legendary to spawn in 😅☹️.
You can effectively grind with lvl 5+. If you were to stack a lot of 9s, you can shoot 4+ but that takes a bit of stacking to get them to start moving down to level 2s and 3s.

Hi, I'm running a whitetail grinder in revontuli, I have several diamonds on the map, do you advise me to kill them or leave them alive? I would like to speed up the spawn of the GO
I just started my first official grind for moose on medved. I was told to stack about 5 diamonds then shoot them off then rinse and repeat I have 11 zones that I shoot in my rotation I spawned 8 diamonds and in 395 kills I got my G1 I am currently trying to stack G1 on my map but since the spawn of my G1 my zones are not changing they are spawning the same levels over and over is it because there is a great one on my map or is their something I can do to get better spawns with the G1 still alive
I appreciate the effort but this video wasn’t overly helpful. It just explains the gist of it and a lot of time is spent talking about ibuy and how many rares he has but it doesn’t go into any meaningful details. E.g. for moose - why shoot 2-3 and not 4? What are those zones that you split your map into? How often do you shoot those 2-3? Do you rotate throughout the map or just shoot where you want? Do you have to play other maps for animals to respawn, or maybe sleep? If so then for how long? What about animals that go to 9 - do your shoot 2-8, 3-7, 3-8, or what? Feels like you just got together and talked about a game you like. Videos like these need a structure, A-Z not A,K,G,Z,B. Some graphs or infographics would be nice too. This is more for those who already know what you’re talking about but for the rest of us I leave as dumbfounded as I arrived.
Sorry you feel that way. I said to shoot the 3s and 4s and I have MANY videos on how to do the moose grind. As well, tomorrow's video is on the moose grind , it's an update and I will explain in full detail everything I've done so far to get my map to where it is. You shoot every level 3 and 4 you see. All of them die. As you do the grind, you will end up with 2s EVERYWHERE and you will have shooter zones. Go watch ibuy stream. You'll see him in action.
I understand the frustration there. And i have actually been thinking about doing something along the lines of a herd management video that really dives into it with info graphs and everything. The problem is often times, you lose the interest of people quickly. But, since i dont have a youtube channel with an audience, maybe i can facilitate something of this nature. And go really BIG BRAIN into it. I love doing things like that anyways!

@@LadyLegendXO @iBUYpremiums Hey guys, apologies if my comment sounded a bit rude. It was 2am, I was tired and a bit grumpy, which is no excuse. My general point still stands - if you want to make a full on explanatory video and share your findings (which I'd be thrilled to watch) then I'd love to see something that goes from absolute zero to every minute detail. Explain how animals respawn in this game - whether you have to walk a certain distance away from an area or you have to fast travel or sleep for a certain number of hours for that to happen. When everyone understands how that works you can move on to "stacking" (which imo is a wrong term for this behavior) - what you have to cull and why. What I gather from this video is that the game generates animals of the same species across the map so that they all average out at some mean number? As in if you have 100 animals that can go up to level 5 and you sum up all animals' levels and divide it by 100 it would end up being 2.5? Is that why it's important to cull 2-3 to make sure you erase the middle and only leave the extreme ends? If so then why not cull 4? Is it because 4 can become 5 or does COTW not have the same "growing" logic as WOTH does where animals become older? It's stuff like this that's confusing to me as someone who doesn't play this game for tens of hours each week. Like I said I do appreciate you wanting to put it out there but content should ideally be meaningful and not just "oh look, I have a thousand rare animals in my lodge" :) Hope that helps to generate some ideas and looking forward to your collaboration!
It sometimes happens. Just keep checking back every once in a while to see if males eventually show up. Otherwise, just leave the zones with females and focus on other zones.
Setup your grind, and rotate on them. Shoot your 2s and 3s if you want. If your only goal is the GO, you dont need to stack. Just make sure you are shooting your big bucks!

Yes, you will want to shoot your 3s and 4s. Harvest them, and stack your 5s. You will begin noticing a big difference.

You do this during a great one grind for a chance at more diamonds and potentially a super rare. The GO I believe is pure RNG.

You can stack GOs. I have 3 whitetail currently on Revontuli. One person that i showed herd management on console was able to spawn 4 red deer GO on Te Awaroa.

I would shoot them. That is the prime target range for mid level shooters. You may have to find more zones, but you are really looking to get solos down to lvl 2. The extra effort pays off!

I have a question so i started n red deer grind and i am at plus minus 1000 kills i am stacking and it is working out great with diamond’s, but i play on xbox soo I don’t shoot alot of deer per rotation i ahve been thinking of shooting an not picking up the deer will this impact my sqawns if I don’t pick then up? It won’t mess with your respawns necessarily. But, for GO grind you will want to collect.

@@elycosta2596 So you will still get diamonds and respawns if you dont pick up. But from what i have noticed, It seems people are not getting GO from not picking up. I am not sure why its like that. But from everything that i have seen, it seems to me that picking up is very effective and is the absolute best option for Great One grinding. shoot the 5s and up. Leave the 9s if you're stacking. Rotation just means hitting all of your zones during one time rotation. One drink time.

Keep shooting those 2s! In your main zones if 1s spawn in there, shoot them. You want level 1s to spawn in the exterior zones. The video really explains it all!

Hey, so when it comes to the red deer, to grind, we shoot 6-7-8 and then we leave the lower lvl and 9 on the map or do we shoot 8 red deer too?
Level 4 and lower is what you want to leave. Shoot everything from 5 to 8 and leave the level 9’s in the zones you want for future use and kill them out of zones you don’t want to use permanently. Ultimately you don’t absolutely have to stack max levels when just starting out, if you want to keep it simple then just go to your least favorite zones first and shoot everything above level 4 until most or all of the animals left there are 4 and just move on from there. You can start stacking 9’s in your favorite zones when you’re ready and just go back and weed out any stragglers above level 4 from your least favorite zones after.

GO spawn is random, so i dont think that means you are close. You just have to keep shooting, and hope for the best.

I am a little confused - apparently, to spawn a GO, I need to shoot all 2''s, and leave the 1's and 3's - correct? Or do I shoot most 2's, but not the higher end 2's that show a trophy rating of 220+? Also, how do you identify the trolls? Thanks!
You can get a great one without using herd managment. HM helps with more diamonds and possibly super rares. To spawn a great one, just keep shooting the males. I would recommend not shooting the 1s and 2s. If you're referring to whitetail, you get to know which ones will make diamond from their racks with experience. Good luck!

Hey lady, does herd management work for grizzly bears? I've been on a grind for a diamond for a while now, and I can't even get a 9 legendary to spawn in 😅☹️.
It works for all species. We will have a part 2 coming out to explain further details that you can apply to any grind!

You can effectively grind with lvl 5+. If you were to stack a lot of 9s, you can shoot 4+ but that takes a bit of stacking to get them to start moving down to level 2s and 3s.

Are your exterior lakes all shot down to 1s or small 2s? That's the purpose of stacking. Once they are, you can shoot the stacked diamonds.
So I got 2 level 3s at different spots should I kill the smaller one and leave the bigger one

I just started my first official grind for moose on medved. I was told to stack about 5 diamonds then shoot them off then rinse and repeat I have 11 zones that I shoot in my rotation I spawned 8 diamonds and in 395 kills I got my G1 I am currently trying to stack G1 on my map but since the spawn of my G1 my zones are not changing they are spawning the same levels over and over is it because there is a great one on my map or is their something I can do to get better spawns with the G1 still alive

You can shoot it. Or stack it if you know the diamond racks. Best rule of thumb is always when in doubt, take it out. You will spawn more!
When you leave your dead animal and it respawn can it respawn to great one or i must claim them?
You should claim them. Not sure but I think they changing the coding so that it's hard to get a GO without harvesting

I appreciate the effort but this video wasn’t overly helpful. It just explains the gist of it and a lot of time is spent talking about ibuy and how many rares he has but it doesn’t go into any meaningful details. E.g. for moose - why shoot 2-3 and not 4? What are those zones that you split your map into? How often do you shoot those 2-3? Do you rotate throughout the map or just shoot where you want? Do you have to play other maps for animals to respawn, or maybe sleep? If so then for how long? What about animals that go to 9 - do your shoot 2-8, 3-7, 3-8, or what?
Feels like you just got together and talked about a game you like. Videos like these need a structure, A-Z not A,K,G,Z,B. Some graphs or infographics would be nice too. This is more for those who already know what you’re talking about but for the rest of us I leave as dumbfounded as I arrived.
Sorry you feel that way. I said to shoot the 3s and 4s and I have MANY videos on how to do the moose grind. As well, tomorrow's video is on the moose grind , it's an update and I will explain in full detail everything I've done so far to get my map to where it is. You shoot every level 3 and 4 you see. All of them die. As you do the grind, you will end up with 2s EVERYWHERE and you will have shooter zones. Go watch ibuy stream. You'll see him in action.
I understand the frustration there. And i have actually been thinking about doing something along the lines of a herd management video that really dives into it with info graphs and everything. The problem is often times, you lose the interest of people quickly. But, since i dont have a youtube channel with an audience, maybe i can facilitate something of this nature. And go really BIG BRAIN into it. I love doing things like that anyways!

My general point still stands - if you want to make a full on explanatory video and share your findings (which I'd be thrilled to watch) then I'd love to see something that goes from absolute zero to every minute detail. Explain how animals respawn in this game - whether you have to walk a certain distance away from an area or you have to fast travel or sleep for a certain number of hours for that to happen. When everyone understands how that works you can move on to "stacking" (which imo is a wrong term for this behavior) - what you have to cull and why.
What I gather from this video is that the game generates animals of the same species across the map so that they all average out at some mean number? As in if you have 100 animals that can go up to level 5 and you sum up all animals' levels and divide it by 100 it would end up being 2.5? Is that why it's important to cull 2-3 to make sure you erase the middle and only leave the extreme ends? If so then why not cull 4? Is it because 4 can become 5 or does COTW not have the same "growing" logic as WOTH does where animals become older?
It's stuff like this that's confusing to me as someone who doesn't play this game for tens of hours each week. Like I said I do appreciate you wanting to put it out there but content should ideally be meaningful and not just "oh look, I have a thousand rare animals in my lodge" :)

It sometimes happens. Just keep checking back every once in a while to see if males eventually show up. Otherwise, just leave the zones with females and focus on other zones.

Setup your grind, and rotate on them. Shoot your 2s and 3s if you want. If your only goal is the GO, you dont need to stack. Just make sure you are shooting your big bucks!
