Thanks for this intro video about getting coordinates. We are new to geocaching...just over 200 finds....and my family keeps asking when we will finally place one. I haven't had all that much time to look into placing one, but I knew I"d need to figure out how to get accurate coordinates. Even though I use a different app and GPS, this info can translate to just about any device used. I also wasn't sure how I'd know if I was far enough away from another cache...so your views of the actual cache placement screens really helped.

I'm a little confused I'm trying to set up my first geocache and it says to put in longitude latitude but then after that it says I need the North degrees and West degree coordinates or whatever and I'm not sure how to set it up

The latitude is the North coordinate, and the longitude is the West coordinate. I'm assuming you are in North America.

There are better apps for getting averaged coordinates from a smartphone.
