That last one was amazing about Jesus teaching from the cross. Thank you so much for being such an amazing spiritual leader. I hope you never stop doing this as I learn so much from you.
Brandon, when I taught those things in my adult Sunday school class more than than 20 years ago the church people were so defensive. I had to move away from that congregation. Christmas especially. I had already quit Halloween, but when I was drawn away from celebrating Christmas, my peers could not receive that. Mind you, I was not led to this by anyone's teaching, and I am at peace about it. Even secular news prints articles about the origins of Christmas each year. I wonder how many will receive it in this generation.
Love your videos @Brandon - PLEASE put out some content about the translations about Jesus name. Some say we should only address the all mighty by his original name.
One surprising fact is that Jesus sometimes used humor and jokes to teach his disciples lessons. And people still find it difficult to accept that Jesus had a sense of humor, and some even claim that it's blasphemy when and if you say that Jesus had a sense of humor. But still, Jesus' humor and jokes are recorded in the Gospels. For example, in the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus throw a joke about swallowing a camel while criticizing his fellow teachers.
Not a joke. A metaphor. Jesus is referring to the Pharisees' tendency to be overly concerned with minor things, like counting out mint leaves and tithing spices.Jesus is using the camel as a symbol of the larger sins that the Pharisees tolerated or committed, such as greed, envy, and lust. The camel was the largest unclean animal in Jewish dietary laws.
They are said to have been related, but the relationship is not specified in more detail, e.g. whether it was a cousin, second cousin, aunt or some another relative.
Guess what? Young John the disciple was also Jesus' first cousin. His mother and Mary were sisters. Is it any wonder He chose John to look after Mary once He was gone.

Wrong. Joseph and Mary weren't in Egypt long enough for Jesus to learn the language. Just a couple of yrs after Jesus' brith, Matthew places the family as being back in Judea in time for the magi to visit their home.
@@theeternalsbeliever1779 it was the visit of the magi, that triggered Herod's fury and therefore the escape to Egypt. Probably when he was about two, we have no clue how long they were there, but that is the best age to learn a language. maybe you should try reading the gospels, before spouting off at people
Thanks, as usual, Brandon for making the real Jesus come to life. Blessings. Your mention of Jesus' birth and hints -- sheep in grazing land -- is an advantage for those of us with rural backgrounds. "Tradition" disrupts the fullness of living a path to our Savior. Wouldn't it be fun to find an account from a boy that knew Jesus at 10 or 13?
Brandon, How long do you think Jesus spent in Egypt as a child? I have seen from as little as a few months to about 6 years. What language was spoken there at the time?
Happy fruitful year,I'm beyond excited! In just one week I'll be debt-free, having paid off my entire $285,000 debt and begun a new chapter of financial freedom.
its luck, it's me just being at the right place at the right time. I met a financial and trading consultant at a seminar back at Los Angeles later last year, where she was featured and interviewed and I reached out to her afterwards. Her name is Elizabeth Ann Hanson, I didn't know much about trading and investing so I spoke to her about it, she then later introduced me to her platform where I and other people could invest.
I'm seeing conflicting info: 1. When did John start his life in the desert? Many apostolic churches said it started way earlier and Jesus did not interact much with him. A main factor is the aging parents who likely does early in John's life 2. Jesus lived in Egypt in between the ages of 1 or 2 to 4 or 5 which means two things, a. He spoke Egyptian and b. Jesus didn't meet with John at all until the old age.
The Biblical Calendar's 1st Month does not start in Jan / Feb. The barely must be Aviv. This happened in March/ April. On the 3 Feast ALL priest serve in the Temple. This result in Zachariah served during Shavuot in early June [3rd Biblical month] Weeks 10 and 11 therefore. So Elizabeth got Pregnant late Jun or late 3rd Biblical Month. So 6 month later Mary conceived 9 Biblical during Hanukkah thus December. Therefore Yeshua born 7th Biical month (Sept / Oct.). He was born 7th Biblical Month Day 15 or later in September.
It also fits with the fact that according to Jewish custom, the census was conducted during the Feast of Tabernacles. If so, it indicates that the census was taken under Herod's rule, when more Jewish laws and fewer Roman laws were still enforced in the autonomous cliant kingdom. But I don't know and I can't say how Cyrenius is related to this. However, Augustus had ordered an empire-wide tax censuses, but these censuses were not carried out all at once, but in each region separately and independently. And even Herod had to count his subjects and especially since Herod had promised donate 300,000 sesterces to Augustus and Empress.
So he could've been born in December even by your own reckoning - but what you don't know is how long after that he was told about this that John the Baptist was conceived - but the biggest issue I have with your reasoning is with the shepherds - like they didn't take care of the sheep in the winter - that is beyond ignorant - the sheep needed tended to in December as much as they do in July. I don't know when Jesus was born - but frankly this is still an educated GUESS that has one piece that is bogus. The language and schooling, while reasonable - still it's reasoning, not necessarily fact. I enjoyed your insight on His saying on the cross!
Dr Heiden looked at the astronomical data in Rev 12. This analysis suggests his birth was 9/11/3bce. This day was also Tishri 1, the regal ( legal start of a king’s reign). Kind of appropriate for the King of the universe! Check it out.
I don't care what day Jesus was born on. I'm just glad he was born. I think Jesus could speak and write any language because that's how he would have been able to communicate with everyone. He is the great almighty one who can see, hear, and know everything.
Jesus didn't abolish the Law. He expanded upon it, and He fulfilled it. Christians should still follow the Ten Commandments, including what is in our hearts and minds.
You know it’s interesting I have heard some say April 1. And this logos material where is it getting it’s information everybody and there mother says they have the truth. I am not trying to be disrespectful, but I personally believe the church has been lied to for at least 1500 years. I believe for example we should have been acting on Jesus Doctrine. It’s not the same as Paul’s Doctrine. Reading them straight up you would say there is a contradiction.
It bothers me when people say Jesus got rid of the old law for us. No. He didn't. Read your Bible. Jesus put the law into perspective for us. His sacrifice is our atonement, so we no longer have to follow the ritual law because His blood washes away our sins. That's certainly true, and I'm grateful i no longer have to sacrifice goats to repent🙏 But i try to do my best to study and follow the moral and spiritual laws of Moses, and above all else the 10 commandments, because it was given to us by God. I know not every Christian thinks as i do, and I'm ok with that. But I think when Jesus used His finger to write in the sand, it was pretty clear imagery that speaks to us about the 10 commandments. Also, the apostles followed the law, and we still consider Sunday (or whatever day u go to church) as the sabbath, and we still quote the 10 commandments while talking about babies in the womb, homosexuality, syncretism, and many other beliefs we hold. So clearly, the law is valued in Christian theology. So imo, if you're going to follow the law, you don't get to pick and choose what u want to follow. God gave us the law because He values order, so i do my best to follow it, and I know in my heart that it has transformed me into a less selfish, more empathetic, and kinder person.
I agree with you. Jesus didn't do away with the Law. He expanded upon it to also state whatever is in our hearts and minds is the same as committing the physical act. Jesus did fulfill the Law in the fact, as you have stated, that we no longer need to do animal sacrifices. Jesus is the ultimate Sacrifice...our Savior. We are human, and we do sin. Most of us break the Ten Commandments every single day to some degree with just our thoughts. This is why Jesus had to die on the Cross for us. Jesus is the only Way to eternal life with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Consider..Yeshua ( Jesus) would not have studied what we know as the whole Bible..He would have studied the Torah..which many Christians believe has little bearing on a faithful walk today🤔 maybe time to reconsider.

The most common form of precipitation in Bethlehem in winter is rainfall. Seeing the city covered in snow is rare but not an impossible event during this period.
