- Follow my wildlife art demonstrations of birds in soft pastel. Learn to draw and paint birds with pastels and pastel pencils. This time-lapse wildlife art tutorial of a Blue Jay is done on sanded paper with an in-depth look at the processes of building rich layers of pastel colors into the feathers of the bird. Every step and detail in the bird's feathers are narrated with close-up clips of painting the bird using pastel pencils.
Materials used: Uart 600 paper. Stabilo CarbOthello pastel pencils and other soft pastels.
