She didn't do a few times in some other videos recently and when I tell you I had an existential crisis...sis, it was a MOMENT. So glad those dark times are behind us.
I actually appreciate a buildable blush, because no matter how hard I try I never fail to use too much pressure, and as a fellow pale girl, I hate the clown look, lol. Plus I use more that way, and it feels like I actually get through a blush, which notoriously last forever in a collection.
Definitely agree! I’m closing in on 60, still wear bold/pastel eyeshadow, as well as highlighter. IDC. I think it’s all fun, & lifts my spirits. I adore Theresa!
I’d say try the CT palette with a stiffer brush. That should allow you to pickup more product. On the side where it faded a little, try pressing it in and letting it sit there for a second before you blend. Put the blush down and then bronze so they all blend at once. That might help it show up. Or, you could layer it with a cream or liquid blush.
your mail backup is similar to what used to always happen to me: i'd go on vacation and then (and only then) ALL my inter-library loan books would suddenly arrive in a swoop, and by the time i got home they would have run out of time and been returned and i'd have to start over. without fail! enjoy your well-earned cruise!
As someone who has bought and tried the Huda palette: DON'T DO IT! The darker mattes are patchy af, the liner doesn't dry down at all, not even after setting it with black eyeshadow, the golden shades have fallout bukakke.. the only good shade is literally courageous AND THAT'S IT! Literally one of the worst palettes I've EVER tried (and I tried a lot)! Stay away, Theresa, and don't bring it on the cruise!
@@Kontrajunkie I've been eyeing that shade of the Nabla bronzer. Would it show up on light / medium olive skin? I don't want to splurge on a high-end bronzer if it won't show up.
@@callmecharlie99 the Nabla Bronzer is amazing and it's available in a lot of shades for different skin tones (at least over here in Germany 😅)! I'd still say Ambra would show up on a light skin tone if you want to use it as a bronzer. Soft Revenge is a rather cooltoned shade that I'd use for contouring rather than for bronzing! If you like a baked formula with a little bit of sheen to it, it's an amazing product. :)
I wanted the CT palettes but they're so expensive. I watched Tara Lynns review on them and she was so right. It's pretty but for 75 it was just blush and highlight shades we all have ten times over in our existing collections. It's not orgasmic by any means even if it's pretty.
That bright gold in the empowered palette gets everywhere. I use the two creamy blacks to create quick winged liner. Don’t put those blacks on bare skin because they need to be scrubbed off.
I feel like the CT palette is pretty firm in the pan, and some gel powder formulas have gotten a little better about picking up on brushes. It's definitely better for a natural glow if you don't care to build it up. That being said I think your end result looked beautiful on you. I LOVE the Nabla skin glazing products. There are highlight and blush shades for a lot of different tones and they're just gorgeous. Something about Jones Road gives me the ick, and I cannot put my finger on it. I guess the way they tried to explode onto the scene by having us put our fingers *in* something kind of put me off, but now I'm not sure.
“Mama looks ghastly”. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I can relate. I swear I’m part Cullen vampire. I really enjoy the Nabla bronzer, blush and highlighters. Love from the spooky Pine Barrens in NJ
I love this look on you. The skin, the eyes, the lips. All *chef’s kiss* With that being said, you could’ve gotten the same look from 50 other eyeshadow palettes you own. Even wet n wild has these shades out. Looks like a nice product, but saving my money for sure.
I was hoping you'd vlog your vacation! I can't afford a vacation so I like to live vicariously through others. May your weekend be filled with moments of unexpected joy and laughter!
I have the shade Soft Revenge in the Nabla skin bronzing. It is cool toned and works on my olive skin. I sometimes find warm bronzers too orange on me.
The nabla blushes are really good too! Thanks for the review on the palette, I was hoping it was going to be a darker version of the Rose Quartz palette but looks too warm (for me) instead.
I got the Huda palette as a gift and honestly didn’t expect too much. After playing with it a bit and using it more often its surprised me by being a palette i end up reaching for almost every day. After not being into it at all, to wearing it every single day…. It grows on you 😅
I ended up passing on the Charlotte Tilbury palette, because I was hoping for the glitters to be milled finer. but if you are ok with that they are beautiful (both light-med and med-deep palettes). Personally recommend Bitter lace beauty and kaleidos highlighters for the sparkly glitter-ish highlighters !
Theresa!!!!!!!!! I am recovering from surgery and almost choked on my opioid when you altered the "Charlotte Tilbury" voice. Bahaha. Omg too effing funny.
Have very stressful busy night shift tonight in the hospital I’m on my break now watching you and your English accent and Charlotte tilbury crack me up 😂 need this rn thank you ❤
I used huda empowered today too! I used Courageous on the lid, with Bold Moves dabbed in center. Oh my gosh I love it so much! I did a halo eye with the more neutral brown transition (rebel, big dreams) and deepened it with it with confident on inner and outer lid (halo). I e done the same but instead of bold moves I used one of the golds. Love it so much!!! But, I don’t like the three orange shades, and not crazy about the black and brown gel liner shades…. So besides those 5, I love it! Lol
I wonder if perhaps that CT blush is one of those blushes that do _not_ get along with bronzer. I have one of those and I typically use it in the winter months when I'm skipping bronzer.
So the cream shades (the dark purple and black) both worked great as bases and liners for me but I don’t have hooded eyes just lots of texture/creases lol so they held up for me and honestly when I used the black as a base I barely had any creasing or fading by the end of the day and I put a shimmer over it. I agree with that palette being super orange though lol
I LOVE blush. Normally I love a POW blush but these CT palettes are actually a really nice switch up in formula for me. I can’t over apply it. I use a denser brush and stipple it on. The highlighters are also so gorge to me. Overall not worth $75, more like $55. But I really like it.
Finally someone who doesn’t get the hype about the Nabla eyeshadow. I bought the Side by Side because everyone raved about it and I just don’t get it. Fortunately I got it during the Ulta Sale in the Spring
I keep thinking you may like the Estée Lauder Sheer (double wear). It’s lightweight, looks like skin, but definitely covers better than what you would think. As for the palette from CT, each time you have tried it, I have seen the blush and highlighter on you. I think Because she presses them the way she does, it takes a few times to get full pigment. So, the more you use it, the better it gets… But, you know, wtf do I know. That’s just how it worked for me. I always love your reviews. Don’t ever change your ways because I love them!
Angela bright just did a video with the empowered palette and discovered the cream shadows are actually gel liners. Not sure if that formula would work as a base. Maybe try as a liner?
I imagine the Huda palette as a basic b palette for deeper skin tones (could it be 🤞)? I enjoyed the nude rich small palette for that reason. I'm trying it when it goes on sale.
Okay, so I hate the bronzer undertones on 99.9% of bronzers. Due to that, I bought Nabla Sweet Revenge (I literally wear the lightest shade in Exa foundation - recommend btw, 2TC in Uoma Say what foundation, and FAIR in whatever BBC purlisse makes); the undertone, though.. BIIIIII!!!ttch* - I use a light hand a prayer but it looks amazing.
I find that often, like say "Charlotte Tilbury , (said in a manly manly voice) have an overspray and you have to swipe it off then it is great. I found that my Wander Beauty cream blush and highlighter stick would not dry down the first time however trying it again it does dry down so am happy. LOL
Hi Theresa! I got the CT face palette and love it. It’s great on the eyes too. I can tell you that it matters a GREAT deal what brush you use with it. Try a Rephr brush with it, I think you’ll be surprised at the difference. Anyway, thank you for the video! 💕
Ok I haven’t even looked at the CT palette closely, but I have both of the original 4 pan face palettes from a couple of years ago. I remember it took really getting my brush in there the first time or two before I fell in love with them. I guess there’s a crust haha! Also, if I don’t use a natural hair brush, it won’t pick up at all.
OMFG, Biiiiiiitcchh! All the air horns 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉for your recommendation of Ritual De Fille Thorn Oil from the Ulta sale. My old ass skin loves this shizz! Fr tho i swirl a few times and coat the brush, i find it picks up fine!!! And the highlighters arent crazy reflective, but the glow is there, its just softer but i find it smoothing on the skin! I hope you end up liking it more eventually!
I have the CT palette and I don't care for it either. The highlighter is really hard to pick up and too sheer for my liking. I like the blushes but they are not mind-blowing good. It does last on my face very well for 8 hours.😐
Great commentary. I just do not ❤️ HUDA products. I’ve tried, but I’d MUCH rather spend my coin elsewhere. I’m also not a CT devotee. I was curious about the Huda Empowered palette, to me it seems like there are more glittery shades than metallic which is not great for my eyes. I really like the colors in this palette but I'll have to see it in person before I decide on getting it. Love the eye look you created, a pretty Fall look.
I ended up ordering the medium/dark Charolette Tilbury palette because it was just so damn subtle. Also, the Shop Miss A, AOA wonder baked blushes are an exact dupe of the Nabla blushes and they're a dollar. Could it be the concealer or something that you put on your right cheek and not your left? Have a fun trip!

That charlotte tilbury palette I was wanting to buy but here in Australia, it goes for $120 o.o I swatched it in store a few times but im not really one for blushes that have any kind of shimmer in them so I know im not going to grab it but yeahhhhh massively overpriced! 💀
See the CT face palette looks just like the Lethal Blossom blushlighter on your face. I'm sticking with the Lethal and saving my coin. Love love love that CT limited edition highlighter though 😆 I blame you for that purchase. Getting the Emerald single shadow in the recent holiday collection? That's ALL on me 🙈 🤡🤣 EDIT: to say that Nabla eyeshadows are meh. Their blush and highlighters though, are delicious 🥰 I don't bronze, but if I ever decide to venture that way, I'd try the Nabla bronzer for sure.

EEEEEEK !!! I immediately thought of YOU bc you ❤️ the thorn oil ( and that's why I ordered the sample )!!! I hope you see this. I was excited when I saw it & wish I could call & tell you !! I'm sure you will find it on new makeup bingo anyway but wanted to try & tell you. Love your videos !! Sorry for writing so much🤐
Maybe the charlotte tilbury palette had an overlay or overspray
That charlotte tilbury palette I was wanting to buy but here in Australia, it goes for $120 o.o I swatched it in store a few times but im not really one for blushes that have any kind of shimmer in them so I know im not going to grab it but yeahhhhh massively overpriced! 💀
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BBE
Happy Birthday Oct 16th Theresa!!! Have a great day.
Theresa those cream shadows are gel eyeliners….Angela bright did a tutorial with this palette and those liners were not very good.
That's ALL on me
🙈 🤡🤣
EDIT: to say that Nabla eyeshadows are meh. Their blush and highlighters though, are delicious 🥰 I don't bronze, but if I ever decide to venture that way, I'd try the Nabla bronzer for sure.
Omg! You said your birthday is on the 17th and your a libra!!!! Eeeeeeekkk you are my birthday twin for REAL! No joke! Happy early birthday my birthday twin!! 😁😊
