Watching this, I realized just how much I miss riding my Townie around Virginia Beach on weekends. Just me with a few cold "beverages", some good music and I could cruise for hours. Quite honestly some of the most relaxing times you can have outdoors. There's literally nowhere to ride here in Texas where I'm at, but might have to check out Galveston, idk.
This was great . I just got my first cruiser its a Schwinn Riverside like you , I can't seem to find any information on it. I haven't ridden it yet its being worked on but I'm so excited and from what I have seen here its just what I'm looking for. I hope mine is as good as yours
My last bike was only a 7 speed as well. It’s called a Framed Journey. I was looking for a good one to put a rear rack and saddle bags on, but I only have gotten a large trunk bag so far mostly to carry spare water keys and wallet and vape stuff I may need.
I'd recommend a headlight and taillight for the bicycle for night time or rain (taillight should flash in my opinion). Also a bell or horn for when there's pedestrians that aren't aware of you. Mirrors are also good to keep an eye on the cars behind/around you. I'd also consider dashcam/action cams for insurance/justice reasons... like if you get hit and they run, or they lie etc.
Nice video, makes me wonder about test riding bicycles before I buy one because you found this bike so much smoother than the other and were surprised by the difference. Until now I always figured a bicycle was the same as the next.
Want to hear something uber-creepy? Some years ago I pulled into the McDonald's drive-threw and ahead of us was an old white van with totally blacked out windows! And, when they received there order it was...a Happy Meal for a kid! OMGs you can't make this up, LOL.
That WD-40 does the trick! My chain on my cheapo mountain bike was completely rusted up and I sprayed it with WD-40 and it fixed it completely. For what it costs for new tires, basically you could get a new bike. That's how it is on my mountain bike, tires costs more than the bike it's self 😂 Bike's are extremely cheap, you can get a nice cruiser for $70-$90 brand new!
Isn't it crazy for the tires? Yep easily $40 at Walmart for a set of tire treads (not including the rims!)... and it wouldn't even be the kind of treads I wanted lol. And then 5 ft away in the same aisle they have cruisers and mountain bikes for $90 for the WHOLE BIKE! Totally weird.
Always nice to stumble across something you like better at a good bargain price! :-D Glad you like the new to you bike better. The WD40 soak would make them move smoother. Er.........in theory it SHOULD anyways. lol ;-)
nice bike 2021 keep on riding!!!

Damm that's a beautiful bike. I really love it.

I have an eerie feeling of creepy tinted black cars too.
Brake cable replacement is a good idea. Can't trust the rust.

I have a fixed geared bike but I run no brakes.... I slow the bike down by backward resistance...
I know someone who does that too, no brakes... I wouldn't like that at all, I want brakes.
RosieMoto much safer with breaks where you ride.....
May someone help I have a 7 gear bike what should I put on just to ride on roads
