This video IS GOLD. I was looking for somebody in TH-cam using a full face helmet (not a bike helmet though, but a Downhill bycicle one) for casual riding on a bycicle. THANKS!!!!!
I don't understand why more people don't wear full face (bicycle) helmets while street riding. I smacked my face - teeth through my lip when tire came off fork.
Yeah, face is totally unprotected with regular bicycle helmets. The biggest cons I can think of, and these might only apply to motorcycle full face helmets (since that's all I've owned), is much less peripheral vision. and in hot environments it's...pretty hot. I'm really curious to find out what a full face bicycle helmet is like and if those things aren't an issue with them. Because yeah, I do fear smashing my face into something, especially since getting a kick scooter. Oh and I guess society standards is a thing too; because almost nobody does it, it's alienated. But in this age I say who cares, and we live in a time where we're breaking all the standards anyway.
@@rosiemoto3052 I've been looking into full face bicycle helmets. Some or most appear to have capacity for great peripheral vision. Making them really light weight with tons of air flow now as well. Good point! almost all standards are being broken so why not wear one. As for me, I could give a rats hiney what society thinks so I'm good there lol.
I have had an E-Bike for a little over 2 years. It's a large, fat-tire bike which looks more like a motorcycle now that I "flavored" it up. Most people think it's a m-cycle 'til they see the pedals. I have seen bicyclists "face-plant" and IT IS NOT USUALLY PRETTY!! One just last week on a regular 10-speed trying to race me(I don't race) He caught his left pedal on a curb and went down like a rock...on his face . And he wasn't moving fast, ten M.P.H. tops. Luckily just some bruises since he fell into the grass. My full-face came in today, it looks good, and I'm wearing it! Those silly styrofoam egg-crates strapped onto your noggin will not save your head in a hard fall!!!! Wear a real helmet, I don't care if your going 60 or 20 down the street. A PIECE OF PAINTED FOAM WILL NOT SAVE YOU FROM DROOLING DOWN YOUR CHIN WHILE YOU STRUGGLE TO FORM WORDS AGAIN!!!
I LIVE THERE IN PORT ORANGE lol, I just got a new bike and a full face helmet for Christmas, was LOOKING for someone to ride with who also had one so I wouldn't be the only one out there with one on lol. I live right across from guisseppes pizza :)
Only vid on youtube with a full face on a bike on the street so cool .. I dont want to look weird . I have an ebike . U think I should have one it goes 20mph
I looked "weird" for years on everything I've ridden since starting this channel, because of all my camera setup stuff, people just don't see it often and give the stares, or compliments, or insults, or however they do. What's more important was I was doing what I wanted to do. So if you want to ride with a full face helmet, you go do what you want to do. Just make sure you can see well enough around you somehow, because I remember it blocking my peripheral vision noticeably. I used mirrors on my bike to help see the blind spots behind me etc. If it all works out, you can be the second bicycle person (or 1st ebiker) on TH-cam to wear one. 8-)
I bought a fullface mtb helmet a couple of days ago and im thinking to wear it to my daily work route, do you think is weird? Because i don't see people here wearing fullface just regular bicycle helmets which i don't really like.
@@stephenshippam9374 motorbike helmets are heavier and didn't have much ventilation, if she wants you to wear one try to tell her to wear a fullface but for bicycle not motorbike.
@@rosiemoto3052 i feel a lot more safe usng it in the streets on my way to work and home because like 30% of the road is not on bike lanes and i cross some dangerous avenues, you get a bit more sweaty than a normal helmet but i think it's worth because if you ever get an accident you will be safer, i know people says you don't need helmets for cycling because the speed is not fast as a motorcycle but what if you get it by a car or fall with your face? Everything can happen when you are riding.
@@stephenshippam9374 i think she just care for you, cyclists are at risk also on the streets and if you feel comfortable with it and she's alright with it also i think it's ok
See the arrow(s) in the bike lane, you're salmoning into traffic. Motorists are crazy drivers. Don't know what the solution is, that area doesn't seem to have a bike lane going the direction you are riding on the other side of the road. Maybe there's another route you can ride that has the bike lanes ?
Just keep what you had, no need for a full face helmet. It's warmer too. On a bicycle you get some instable video, it is what you get riding a bike. YT can stabilize too, much easier. Nice to see you try. I am using the chest mount, mine is fairly stable (I did tighten the strap around my chest and made the shoulder straps quite short. Cam does ride a bit higher, but sound is better and the cam does not bounce around as much. Maybe you could try using the cam in a chest mount, upside down, the it is not so top heavy.
Hey Buddy. Maybe in Dutch-land you don't think you need a helmet. Ride over here in the U.S..... The people in their cars drive like they are in a road-race and NO ONE OBEYS TRAFFIC LAWS. SO BELIEVE ME, IT'S NOT A PLEASURE-CRUISE OVER HERE!!! Wear a REAL helmet, because the nuts over here are all in a race, and cyclists are just in their way. Seriously!!!

When that duo video coming out
I would look if someone wore a motorcycle helmet on a bike.
Sounds like too much work in editing videos
