Yeah. In these old versions, only a certain amount of digits are realized. I don't know exactly how many, but lets pretend it's 6. When you're near (0,0), your coordinates might look like (14.4598, 23.1236). That means the game will be precise out to the 4th decimal point. But if you're near (10,000, 10,000), your coordinates might look like (32,567.2, -78,028.9), meaning the game will only be precise out to the 1st decimal point, making the game stutter. By looking at the video here, it looks like he doesn't even have decimals anymore. This doesn't happen in newer versions of course
